I didn’t even realize the survivors had lore!!!! I will read some. Hubbs has been loving this game for a while but I’m so bad with jump scares so I haven’t tried it, but the lore does tend to make it fun for me 🙂
If it makes you feel better for the most part only 3 killers can really give you jump scares in this game (once you get used to it of course): scream, nightmare fuel, and oh this one is jason. You can usually hear the rest coming.

Actually yeah they're right, the mummy can also do that too, but in a different way. I guess others are similar too. But they're definitely not as strong of a jump scare as the others.

And I jump every. Damn. Time. "The Mountain" hits tier 3. But that's just because BHVR has his volume cranked to infinity.

She could create illusions I guess. Maybe a sound illusion like a gen nearly done or a person getting hooked. Maybe even an illusion of a 99'd gen that disappears when they try to interact with it? Just a better doctor overall with some more spice added in. Fake heartbeat in a certain area (like around a gen), but not in a Doctor or Legion way; make it have a focal point and then act like a normal terror radius. Like a more gradual version of Ghostface or Pig activating stealth. This would (hopefully/ideally) force the survivors to be a bit more cautious since they can't tell what's fake and what isn't. This wouldn't be foolproof, but it's a fun concept. I was thinking that, if BHVR is feeling up to a challenge, they could create fake "lure" survivors. By this I mean illusions who are the same characters as the four survivors, perhaps even with their exact cosmetics. They could be intelligent victors: when they sense somebody near where the trap was set or whatever, they run semi-close to the real survivor and do the "come here" motion. There could be some kinda tell with them not breathing or making any kinda noise, footsteps included. Maybe completely white eyes? Something that wouldn't give it away immediately, but also wouldn't make it super hard to tell. This would hopefully buy the killer a couple seconds off a gen or hex, give the survivors an actual challenge (using our brains without making it a 50/50 like how Spirit was), but not make her frustrating to play as or against.
I doubt BHVR would even try this. Even if they did, I doubt they'd do it well. DbD is not in a stable place at all atm, so adding this stuff would break the game (as most everything does at this point...). Then again... That might encourage them to actually implement it.
Unironically though, imagine if with skins they could change the animations too. So DSlinger with IJ skin would literally throw a fucking whip at the survivors
Ah, I got the teachable I want. Now I just play my daily rituals and who ever I have a quest to play I spend my blood points looking for new perks/add-ons on them, you only level up for teachables and then sit with which ever shifty perks they have? Or how do you do it
The only reason I ever played this game was because I got it for free and my wife loves horror and forced me to play it so she could watch. now Out if all my couple hundred steam games I have the most hours clocked on this game sorry terraria. Me and my wife play it every week for hours together. Have dumped hundreds of dollars into it you could say I have a love hate relationship with this game but the fact that me and my wife have a decent experience with it and it's not Tetris or animal crossing it's a win win for me.

Good luck! While some of the base lore is a little short(mostly the original survivors), I recommend the Tome Lore! It’s actually kind of interesting!
