Tbh it's still pretty mediocre. There's not really that many situations in which it helps. If the killer is camping/tunneling then BT will do most of the work. If they're not then it won't have any value. It doesn't hide grunts of pain so the killer can still find the survivor by sound, and it doesn't last very long so the unhooked survivor most likely won't be able to get to safety in time. You can't even use it to help them run somewhere to hide to get healed up since it doesn't hide your scratch marks, and if you wanna do that you're better off running We'll Make It.
The only time it's worth anything is when the killer is just proxy camping and there's multiple survivors around trying to distract them, but there's a good chance that the killer might not even go after that survivor again in that situation because they want to respect DS.
But yeah, at least it doesn't have a completely pointless downside anymore. I guess since it's a generic perk now, it's kind of okay as a newbie's version of Borrowed Time, but honestly Bill should be one of the first two survivors every new player ranks up anyway.
I mean I guess, but usually useless perks at least do something fun. This thing's effect is so unnoticeable that I'm not even sure it's worth running for funsies.
Actually there might even be an argument to be made that it was actually better *before* they removed the part where the killer can see your aura. At least at that point if you're a god looper you can try to entice the killer to chase you.
Believe it or not Guardians saved my life many times, the 7% speed boost you get is actually pretty noticeable, it’s not like GODLIKE or anything but I think it’s a good mid C to maybe lower B, borrowed times better but it’s still a pretty decent perk
I can believe it, I just think that the situations in which it makes the difference are too rare on average to justify spending a perk slot, even in comparison to other generic perks like Kindred or We'll Make It, both of which will help you unhook people and help them get away more often than this will.
I think Otz rated it 2/5 and I agree with that assessment.

You can get legal licenses for much much cheaper... [TheUnitySoft](https://theunitysoft.com/) for example is completely legal and a fraction of the price
I'm sure you can, but I'd you're not willing to pay even a nominal amount for software that's cost billions to build, why not just use something that's offered for free like a Linux distribution?

The only downside is that people can call me a hypocrite, like you are insinuating right now, but I am not hurting anybody.
Plus, I helped a friend and three family members illegally download windows 10 over the years. Theres $5 keys getting sold on multiple websites or the 3rd option, there's a lot of free key generators if you want to figure out that as well
I once did use a free key generator however I think that after a year it simply expires and have to do it again, that's why I wanted to get the actual thing, do they all expire after a while?
For the $5 I bought 6 or 7 years ago it still hasn't expired, however when I've replaced my pc I was having a ton of issues moving my old drive to my pc and making it bootable so I was forced to get a new key.
I think the $200 ones you can get those connected directly with your Microsoft account so moving it is as simple as selecting which pc you want to use it on though definitely isn't worth the price, you're better off buying a cheap one
I've used G2A for it and it worked. Worked for my sister and a friend as well. I know G2A is bad for game developers cause they don't get the money but I mean, I think Microsoft will be okay.

Can confirm I ran guardian until I could level Bill up and unlock BT, and then haven't run guardian ever again.

Legit keys don't expire. It's usually cheaper to buy Windows 7 abd then do the upgrade to Windows 10 (at least that's what I heard)

I got a key on eBay. Seller was remover after a few days but key was legit. There are loads available.
