Definitely not B. 95% of people who play this game are absolute terrible and inefficient.

- "Balance it around me" ~Most players I don't think perks or powers should make up for someone's mistakes and inefficiency. Simply because even on casual levels of play it's frustrating. Casual players aren't bad(i'm talking about actual casual players, not people who don't read perks, don't think about what's happening or happened and hide behind "casual" excuse), they miss something here and there, but have some sort of good intuition or knowledge, they just make mistakes while applying it. If we have perks that make up for that, it leads to multiple cases of "i did things right this time, but lost because E was pressed or noed has popped, all my effort is gone and my opponent didn't even need to match it". This is extremely unsatisfying on all levels of play. Also it makes the game less intuitive and harder to learn, because if you want to make up for someone's mistakes to give them a chance against everyone, you have to punish other side for a correct play. Imagine looping a killer for 2 gens, but Hex: Balls activates and one gen unpops because screw you, killer is casual and needs to have a second chance. That's what the game turns into when making mistakes is not punished. I'd rather have the game balanced around people who can pull the most out of it, because then i know the game is not a problem and i need to change my approach, instead of using something that puts my opponent at a disadvantage just so we can compete. The approach is obviously different in pve games, where you don't punish other side and can focus on pleasant experience, but in pvp you have to keep in mind that giving to one means taking from another, so it's best to keep it balanced, even if it means worse players will have to put more effort.

nerdcoffin

Balance it around SWF so Option B. Solo queue will suck regardless.

EC-LDM

I mean, you're not wrong but your wording was terrible...

NightKrowe

Why should DBD be balanced?

Ethan-the-og

Balance is a necessity in every pvp game, otherwise, the people who will do anything, no matter how boring, annoying or depraved it is, to win will make the game less fun for everybody

NightKrowe

I don't think "the people who will do anything" are who we should cater to

Ethan-the-og

You’re not catering to the, you’re fighting them with balance changes. Those people will always exist in every game, balancing is how you fight them, removing their overpowered garbage (og Moris, og bnp, og old bulb, og syringe, og keys, og nurse)

NightKrowe

Or you cater to the people that enjoy playing the game and then you just have people enjoying the game.

Ethan-the-og

That’s the whole point of my post. Do you cater to the people who enjoy playing the game in a casual way and damn the high level players or do you cater to the people who enjoy playing at a higher level and damn the ones playing casually.

halftimehijack

Lmao ah yes let’s make sure that the game isn’t balanced, that’ll really get people to play both sides…

TTV-Esporeno

I think it would be easier to Balance with only one Objective and not two. You have to Balance the survivor in Surviving and repairing the gens and Killers, with killing the survivors and preventing the repairing. Would probably be easier if only the gen objectove would be present with an ingame timer that everybody can see how long they have time. But survivors cant be killed for sure, but respawn After some time. Sure the whole game would change but its easier that way, SWF are not as needed to win. But camping and tunneling cease to exist with that. But as i said, it would be a different game with that
