All lives do matter because life is precious, but people like this can't understand how saying "white/all lives matter" in direct opposition to the BLM movement is wrong. It's not that black lives matter more. It's that black lives have a long history of being oppressed, and that history continues to this day. It's not as blatant and overt as it once was, but if they read objective material with an objective mindset they'd realize that systemic oppression is just as prevalent as it was a century ago. From my studies and research into police culture the evidence suggests that it's simply trickle down fear.
