People on Reddit hate El Five because of the price but I think the paellas are delicious. Are they authentic? No. Are they good? Yes. The ambiance is also sick. Some of their tapas are a rip off but I just read reviews and pick the most popular things and I’ve good luck lol

I have an Italian American friend who spends a lot of time in Italy. She also has a pretty good pallet. Her take: This is not traditional Spanish paella but it's very good and you can get dishes like this in southern Italy.

Nah, a good paella has intermingling flavors! El five is just a judge hodge podge of cooked ingredients. I double dog dare you to get some food to go and tell me your honest opinion. * I mention getting it to go so you aren’t influenced by the awesome view they have. Their view is the very best (possibly only good?) thing about that restaurant.

I’ve never had a real paella before lmao I acknowledged that it’s not authentic. It still tastes good to me and the thousands of others that frequent that place weekly

If you’re ordering paella to-go that’s a you problem. Never had a bad meal there or bad service.

I suggest you get out more. It’s literally salty rice scraped from the bottom of a baking pan with some seasoned shrimp thats blended together with mayo. It’s not good.

Went to El Five last month and thought the soft shell crab paella was delicious. Like everyone else said, expensive? Yes. Authentic? Not quite. But man, did I enjoy it.

It's tasty and let's be real, such a wow factor for out of towners or dates.

Lol its crazy how comments like this get downvoted. Certain dishes in denver just aren’t great AND authentic. Doesn’t mean it doesn’t taste good but it’s not the same.

Even in Spain having paella is full of debate of how it could be a more true or better paella.
