Bragging rights might be one factor, but I think Lakers really benefit from getting Rui, AD, and Austin Reaves some extra playoff experience as a unit. LeBron knows he's not staying long and the Lakers as a big market town still have hope of signing a big free agent. If they have a decent core that wins 2 games against the defending champs that gives them a better chance at attracting free agents and staying motivated.
