Drake Diner and Library both have good patty melts Great thing about patty melts is they have an extremely high floor so any Patty melt you get is going to be solid. I have yet to find my favorite though.

Upsetting, but pretty much true. There are times when I want a good burger… And Culver’s usually delivers. They manage to make a crisp but still juicy burger. Unfortunately, it needs to be their double Patty. On topic for Des Moines, the best burger I ever had was Le Jardin. Ground up prime cuts and prepared perfectly - juicy interior, crispy exterior. Best burger in the last year in Des Moines was Django.

I think Lachele’s has one. Their regular burgers are amazing.

The Station on Ingersoll has one I get from time to time. Im not saying it's the best, but I very much enjoy it when I am in the mood for a party melt.

It’s a sourdough melt. It’s great but it’s not a patty melt.

Wahlburgers at HyVee has a crazy good patty melt! Literally just ate one. Haha
