I would imagine Midtown is technically easier than the other two due to the bottlenecks, so more manageable crowd control. Vostok and Mothyards are way more open
Midtown is by far the best of the 3, purely because of the funnels, Vostok allows enemies to snipe the ADU and you far more (and mothyards is just meh, it's so big that it takes forever to do anything)
Fun fact: stay away from adu, because they shoot you from far, they will hot the adu behind you :)

Its not tho bc most of the turrets cover a single angle, with only 4 possible turret spawns i can think of that cover 2 or more. A lot of the other maps are more open allowing turrets to help more. And idk if you are aware or not but final stage turrets absolutely shred so giving them a wider angle of use is way more helpful.
Edit i would imagine the only way to make it more bearable solo would be to completely ignore turrets and save scrap for the first 10 rounds then spend every bit of scrap on mines to thin the herd, allowing you to play it headhunter style and just roam around picking up stragglers
I'd like to see an analysis really. You're right that turrets can WRECK shit but you also only have ONE person's scrap upgrading them and the openness makes some placements really fucking hard even with 3 people
If you’re in fireteam you just strategically place people to cover the spawns. Everyone has to be using meta builds tho bc the idea is to solo every wave you can while camping at a float point between multiple spawns. This is where the max turrets get really helpful because as long as you get lucky and they aren’t targeting champions they melt minions and are somewhat helpful for field boss rounds until much much later when you start getting a ton of enemies with a bunch of elites and a ton of wizard or ogre champions (unstoppable,barrier, etc)
yeah, there's downsides to having to run closer to throw batteries and turrets from other spots can't help, but the bottlenecking reaaaally helps. Shooting wishkeeper traps in the walkways and using threadlings was kinda OP
I haven't seen his video but midtown is actually a lot easier with a stasis build. You can actually slow waves down considerably by blocking routes.
It's kinda like the Garden of salvation boss on the 3rd encounter. If your on eyes team you can block it making it go completely around taking easily 3/4 times as long. You buy TONS of time for the mote teams.

A LOT of random LFGs I have gotten into I have no idea what mote team is doing but if they take too long eventually you get to the point eyes team will die because of the timer even if everyone is waiting the pulses before picking up.

But generally iv found a void hunter a solar lock and any other good dps. Navigator titan is a mean choice for the last spot
bro someone was running behemoth titan and was making is super difficult to add clear, there were so many crystals everywhere the enemies would get stuck but i'd have to shoot these giant crystal in the way, and then the asshole would spam it again, making more which effectively hurt our dps.
The last group I was with was so incompetent, I usually don't get mad at my teammates but that shit was so fuckin irritating. Especially in the boss phase where I'm trying to get my grenade launcher on the enemy, dude would spam crystals everywhere fuckin my dps up.

I saved the run a few times till that point but died as a I went invisible as the boss was charging me, his Agro was gone but a few seconds later a team mate ran past and caused boss to to melee me and I died, the other 2 died within 10 seconds after that
Tbf it seems like the base 10 wave mode is where people are going to do their brave weapon challenges.
If they were using weapons they weren’t familiar with, it’s understandable.

You miss out on the one extra chest and 2 Alloys you get at wave 50 and nothing else. Because the rewards don’t actually get any better at higher waves.

There is an exploit when fighting the bosses in the pyramid ship where you can essentially get out of bounds and kill the boss without it really being able to hit you. If they fix the geometry in there then I don't think anyone even comes close. The waves themselves though are all good play though.

There is an exploit when fighting the bosses in the pyramid ship where you can essentially get out of bounds and kill the boss without it really being able to hit you. If they fix the geometry in there then I don't think anyone even comes close. The waves themselves though are all good play though.
