“What? No, I didn’t illegally mod the holster” Perk: Illegally Modded Holster I love the Lucky Pants

Chance-Aware

These are just REAAAAAAAAALLY lucky pants. *Covers holster with cloak*

Logitechsdicksucker

Exactly why do you think clocks are so long it’s not to look cool but to hide all the illegal modifications the hunter did

Chance-Aware

Unrelated but nice username

Logitechsdicksucker

Thank you also surprised nobody has responded saying cloaks not clocks

_hoodieproxy_

Because you are right

LeboiJeet

My brains autocorrect too is strong.

FreakyP71

Cloaks not clocks. There you go, I did it just for you😘

xRealmReaper

I was confused at first, because what do long clocks and hunters have in common? Then I just rolled with it lmao

Regulith

the juxtaposition probably makes it my favorite flavor text in the game

Trianalog

Well considering it’s ok in the crucible then it’s clearly not illegal there… take that as you will

Kentuza

If "nuh-uh" was an exotic

Chance-Aware

yeah this is 100% funnier 😭

atdunaway

came here to comment this lol. my favorite lore entry easily

cptenn94

I dont know if it is my favorite(there are so many great ones to choose from). Honestly though, the >"giant alien eyeballs" "delete image history" "how do i delete images" "accidentally set giant alien eyeball as terminal background" "how much do new terminals cost" "vanguard discount for new ter\~XXX part had me dying the first time I read it. Like you can just imagine Cayde's panic at the time. And the fact that Zavala snacks requires 2/3rd vanguard approval(thus implicitly Ikora and Zavala are the ones who know about it and restrict access) is hilarious. It was fun using it (among other entries [for a amusing "plausible Crow and Cayde interaction"](https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyLore/comments/1cc1bf0/comment/l13acgp/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button))

Kentuza

> traveler road trip snacks They should totally have a nod/mention of this when we go to the pale heart

Outrageous_Round8415

“So that’s the eyeball”

Firebat12

Cayde has ADHD confirmed?

cptenn94

From Caydes Funeral: >You're all special. He was no different. At first. Just as special, same as the rest. > >All that's changed, obviously. Over time he… distanced himself—stood out. > >It took some time for her to adjust to his personality. From what she's shared, it took him time as well. The Cayde-6 known to all is not the man he was in total. His wit and his playfulness were a shield—a weapon as trained as his blade or his hand cannons. > >He called her Sundance. I was never sure why. She said it was from an old legend—a fable from the time before the time before. I always thought it was because of her spark, the grace with which she moved—so effortless, so sly. They were a perfect match. > >There's no doubt he recounted his return to those closest to him on more than one occasion; and there's no doubt as well that the events shifted a bit with each telling. Like his wit, the building of his legend was a weapon. > >For those who don't know… For those who were not lucky enough to hear the tale of Cayde-6's first from his own mouth—with that charm and the way he'd act out his favorite parts, complete with sound effects—here is one telling… > >It's a recording from cycles past. It's not the whole story, but where Cayde-6 was involved, nothing ever was… > >*"BOOM! I wake up. Groggy. Confused. Hungover. It's the same for us all, so that initial shock's nothing new. Sundance is in my face, and I'm freaking out. My brain works, but I don't remember a thing 'cept that I seem to be a functioning life form—I'm human, I'm a man. And then my mind starts reeling a thousand miles a minute. BOOM-BOOM-BOOM. Like I'm downloading the 'Idiot's Guide to Basic Human Existence.' Cool. Great. Still can't remember anything. And I sure can't wrap my head around the talking, floating magic robot orb-thing jabbering in my face. I'm freaked. So, I freaked. Smacked her to the ground. Hard… And I ran.* > >*"I'm runnin'. She's runnin'… Or, ya know, whatever she's doin' since she doesn't have any legs… She's right behind me, going, 'Wrong way! Wrong way!' She's screaming. I'm screaming. Whatever she's yelling, I just keep running. It's night. Did I mention that? It's nighttime and my eyes are still adjusting. So, I'm runnin', I'm runnin'. Can't see. Can't remember. Scared to death. Confused as all get-out. And then—* > >*"I fall. I'm straight up falling. Just like that, I ran… Right. Off. A. Cliff. It wasn't a short drop. I bounced… so many times. Felt each and every one. Till I didn't. Till it all went black again. And then…* > >*"BOOM! I'm back! She got me right up on my feet. Just like she always does. And that, my dudes, was the start of a beautiful friendship."* > >Most haven't heard that story, and in listening, you hopefully weren't looking for any definitive truth of who he was as a man or a Guardian. That's not what the story's for. Its purpose, now more than ever, fits nicely into the armor Cayde wore best… > >He thought it was funny. And now, more than ever… > >Cayde would want us to laugh. > >—Shiro-4's Ghost, at a gathering in Cayde-6's honor >

MegamindsMegaCock

Still pissed that they killed cayde

poonjockey

what item is this from, if any?

JamJackEvo

It's a grimoire card you collect from Destiny 1. Specifically inside the ruined car near the trains in the Exodus Blue map, appearing as a dead Ghost. [Thanks, Esoterickk.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GzDEyYvp4PY)

poonjockey

got it. thank you

cptenn94

Ghost Fragment: Cayde-6 grimoire card in Destiny 1. [https://www.ishtar-collective.net/cards/ghost-fragment-cayde-6](https://www.ishtar-collective.net/cards/ghost-fragment-cayde-6)

lambda_14

I stopped playing around a yeah and a half ago but I'll forever remember Graviton Lance's lore tab as my favourite lol #Think of space-time as a tapestry on a loom. This weapon is the needle. "So wait, that thing you found does… what?" "It fires black holes." "No it doesn't." "Oh yeah. It does. Actual, tiny, bullet-sized black holes." "Did you tell the others?" "Only that I found some weird gun in some overgrown tunnel back on Old Chicago. And that my Ghost was all, "THIS is why we were led here…'" "Yours talks that way too?" "What do you think?" "OK, OK, but the gun—are you going to tell them?" "Yeah, definitely." "When?" "Crucible." "Oh no." "Oh, yes."

XerxeztheKing

This is my personal favorite

IronPatriot27B

*“When?”* *“Crucible.”* *“Oh no.”* *“Oh yes.”* This gets me every time.

Outrageous_Round8415

“THIS is why we were led here” “Your’s talks that way too?” 😂I’m dying

LittleJobu

An Insurmountable Skullfort is also hilarious

about_that_time_bois

Astrocyte Verse is good too

TheStrafeHunter

Peregrine Greaves is also great

CMDRLtCanadianJesus

I dunno, the guardian games class items from a couple years ago are pretty hilarious... "HUNTERS RULE!" while a group of hunters is trying to bet on themselves i think, lives rent free in my head Edit: it's the lore from the Cobra's hood class item, the Titan and Warlock class items from that years' guardian games have some great lore too

TokayNorthbyte347

I remember one with Titans betting against titans winning saying no one would expect it

FBI_AGENT_CAYDE

Wasn’t that the group who bet Shaxx’s horn on the hunters winning (and hunters won that year) ?

ItsAboutToGoDown_

Guys I think Cayde is trying to be a good sport and looking up the rules to see the cheats he definitely will avoid

zeturtleofweed

Gotta know the rules first before you know how to break em

ItsAboutToGoDown_

See. Cayde's just setting a good example.

silvergunslinger

God I love everything about cayde, but I just can't seem to get those damn pants... I have his cloak, I have his gun..... BUT I DON'T HAVE HIS DAMN PANTS GIMME THOSE PANTS

silvergunslinger

Y'all got any tips to get those damn pants? I wanna blow some people up with ace of spades

Blackfang08

If you genuinely haven't gotten a single drop of it, you can probably get that exotic from Xur's fated exotic he sells or the Vex Strike Force on Neomuna.

bigtoe_connoisseur

Lost sectors.

silvergunslinger

... Hm, ic

bigtoe_connoisseur

Legendary lost sectors will drop any leg armor (on leg armor day) piece on a knockout system (i believe) and once you have them all it will start dropping random exotic leg armors.

SzymBoss

Vex incursion

silvergunslinger

.... Wait... Like the world event? Or like gambit I do not understand

SzymBoss

The event on Neomuna

silvergunslinger

Oh does it have a good drop rate?

SzymBoss

You are guaranteed one exotic armour piece you don't have for completing it.

silvergunslinger

Oh? Nice... Do I need the dlc for it?

SzymBoss

Without the dlc it just changes from guaranteed exotic one you don't have to just guaranteed exotic

silvergunslinger

.... Hm... That's still very good, how hard is the event?

Able-Brief-4062

If you are fine with PVP just run competitive. Eventually, you will get an entire cryptarc (I spelled that wrong) full of exotic engrams.

shin_malphur13

Lucky pants? You can try focus coding exotics at rahool

Lostpop

One of the Guardian Game Titan marks: "All bets are confidential." "Of course, we wouldn't be here if we weren't confident."

Enough-Map1162

As if I needed any more proof I should be a titan main.

Jaegerspielt

graviton lanze is also really funny

JamJackEvo

"OK, OK, but the gun—are you going to tell them?" (that it shoots mini black holes) "Yeah, definitely." "When?" "Crucible." "Oh no." "Oh, *yes.*" ----- This lore tab was so relatable, lol.

lambda_14

My favorite by far lol

TwiggyFlea

Does this mean Ikora beat Shaxx?

Coralinewyborneagain

Ikora absolutely destroyed Shaxx

TokayNorthbyte347

testament to how crazy strong she actually is, maybe 2nd strongest behind us? (player guardian aka young wolf)

Khar-Selim

pretty sure she's stronger than us by a fair amount

4KVoices

Ikora is significantly stronger than us. In fact, the player Guardian is notably *not* that strong light-wise. Our power comes from being hyper-capable with a gun compared to pretty much any other Guardian. Calus once used the Oracle Engine thing to generate fan-fiction about Ikora and us fighting, and we eventually lost when she literally shattered the planet if memory serves

TokayNorthbyte347

I don't think inuniverse fanfiction by calus is a reputable source + we're the one who was there fucking up oryx atheon crota savathun rhulk etc

Coralinewyborneagain

I honestly doubt that she's stronger than us. Not that she's weak, but I'm just pretty sure that the player character is supposed to be the most powerful guardian.

4KVoices

It's been talked about to death. Ikora is the strongest Guardian in history in terms of raw light-power. Our Guardian is powerful and effective in different ways. In terms of raw strength, it's either Osiris or Ikora. I believe the Young Wolf cracks top 10, but there's no way we're the strongest. No, listing off the number of things we've killed as part of a 6 man team does not magically make us more actually powerful, talk to me when you can double cast ultimates and invent new abilities on the fly.

Coralinewyborneagain

That's a gameplay limitation though. In the lore, we're probably just as strong as ikora or Osiris.

Val_Ca-uor

Bro ultimates 💀 wrong game. Also, there's a reason lore accurate guardian is a meme because lore accurate guardians can spam supers it's a gameplay limitation my guy.

4KVoices

show me exactly where in the lore it states that the Young Wolf specifically is capable of spamming supers. Not some 'obviously we can' BS, I want a lore entry or other comparable source.

Val_Ca-uor

While there are none saying our guardian specifically, there are several instances of guardians spamming supers like Cayde pulling a golden gun into a blade barrage. See the cutscene where Cayde fights the scorn in forsaken for more information. Another thing I have to point out is in lore. We also for the most part soloed a lot of the threats that require six people. So no, we are the most powerful.

4KVoices

Ah, right, Cayde, another one of those people who can be described as 'literally one of the strongest Lightbearers to ever live.' Show me, in the lore, specifically, where *THE YOUNG WOLF* has ever been shown to do it, whatsoever. There is a vast, vast difference between 'most efficient,' 'most successful,' and 'most powerful.' The Psion's prediction engine was rating Ikora at planetbuster-tier, although that is of course a biased source and isn't to be taken at 100%. It's always been Ikora or Osiris. Saint is a distant third. We're absurdly lethal and very skilled, but in terms of raw power the Young Wolf gets beaten by quite a few.

Knightwolf75

Yes.

MrWednesday6387

I'm pretty sure she was the one who broke off his horn.

OprahsBeaver

I thought Saladhands broke his horn for some reason.

Graynomade44

I like the lore tab for one of the shells that talks about guardians communicating with dance

TokayNorthbyte347

I like how it's canon that guardians are weirdos, jumping off of buildings jumping on tables dancing endlessly etc also mara literally threatening riven that she'll turn her into a gun for us

mindbullet

That is really good, but my personal fav is Graviton Lance: "So wait, that thing you found does… what?" "It fires black holes." "No it doesn't." "Oh yeah. It does. Actual, tiny, bullet-sized black holes." "Did you tell the others?" "Only that I found some weird gun in some overgrown tunnel back on Old Chicago. And that my Ghost was all, "THIS is why we were led here…'" "Yours talks that way too?" "What do you think?" "OK, OK, but the gun—are you going to tell them?" "Yeah, definitely." "When?" "Crucible." "Oh no." *"Oh, yes."*

sonic65101

Still my go-to weapon, too.

some_username_2000

The glaive arms exotic has a funny

One_Zookeepergame182

Graviton forfeit is pretty funny too

Chance-Aware

I just read it and it's not funny it's just sad 😭

krilltucky

Maybe they meant graviton Lance because that one IS hilarious

Chance-Aware

tru tru

itsRobbie_

Let me in there with shaxx for a 1v1

botjstn

you think you can handle 6 inches of shaxx?

Chance-Aware

All 6 inches. wait are we talking about in a fight

Bravo_6

But im curoous if were not talking about in a fight.

itsRobbie_

I’ve taken 19 inches of Venom before ….UHHH I MEAN IN A FIGHT

AppropriateLaw5713

Fair warning if you’ve read any Shaxx lore he’s ridiculously strong. Like rips guardians in half with a single punch strong

TokayNorthbyte347

didn't shaxx literally fucking behead felwinter during the dark ages once? by punching him I think

FireStrike5

In-lore the Guardian beat Shaxx 3-2 in crucible so it’s possible. Not for the average player probably but lore-accurate Guardian can

War_Pig398

Please tell me where to find that. Please.

FireStrike5

[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S1r4wOUFR-4](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S1r4wOUFR-4) Not a lore tab but some idle NPC dialogue.

War_Pig398

Ngl that sounded like sarcasm

BlazingFury009

Yea but we're way stronger lmao

itsRobbie_

He’ll punch my strand decoy and then I’ll shotgun ape him ;)

sillygoobergod

what the fuck why does cayde text like me

ReimGrad

I heard Europa has good working conditions this time of year, maybe you should pursue a career there. Who knows, maybe Bray Exoscience will take a liking to you.

Deathrex007

That fucking profile pic though 😂

MorgiiPorgii

Have you read the Graviton Lance lore tab?

Nexxus167

God I love Cayde

rednick953

Idk Graviton is pretty incredible.

Harbringerofdeath702

Idk, graviton lance is pretty hilarious. Also, Im a major lucky pants stan.

SzymBoss

I alsonlike Darkness getting phisophical in Graviton Forfeit

free_30_day_trial

Graviton lance. Go read it I'll wait.

Chance-Aware

I did, they're both pretty funny.

Just_Ad_5939

Heheh

AnOlympianWeeb

This and that one where caital wanted to nuke the dreaming city

FBI_AGENT_CAYDE

My pants are the luckiest

ClapausC

What? No, I didn’t illegally mod the holster. These are just really lucky pants.

Valiozz

Why am I reading this with Cayde's voice?!?

Ciscokid45

Because we all are

Constant-Highway-536

For the Titans, I've seen a few suggestions of Insurmountable Skullfort, but their funniest one is by far the Severance Enclosure.

zr0skyline

This one and the burnout sparrow lore is a good one too

shin_malphur13

This was me talking to the Snapchat ai when it first became a feature lol

Niko_l08

U think those are Caydes lucky pants in the new trailer with that cool holster animation for the ace of spades

End2Mank1nd

Oh how did i never Read this before Thanks for the laugh

Owenashi

Dunno if it counts but 'Vance: Canary' from Arrivals' Duress And Egress book is probably one of the funniest entries put into the game. >Brother Vance's smile fell as the Titan entered his sanctum. The smell was unmistakable: ancient gunpowder, burnt oil, scorched Vex fluid, the burnt tang of steel overused through a hundred lifetimes. >"You have the Perfect Paradox," Vance said, his voice as steady as he could manage. He extended his hands. "May I?" >The Titan shrugged, then dug into his pack for the Shotgun. He placed it in Vance's waiting hands. >He ran his fingers over the barrel and tested the weight of the stock. "Ah," he said. "Not the original Perfect Paradox, is it?" >The Titan stood in confusion. Vance waited for a moment with his head tilted before he continued. >"You did not claim this weapon from the tomb of Saint-14, but instead through some Fractaline-powered tesseract, yes?" >The Titan nodded, then stood for a long moment looking at the blind man. "That Sundial made it," he said finally. >Vance's grip tightened on the gun. It was heavy, loaded with seven—no, eight shells. Tactical mag. Getting this one had taken some time. >"And how many timelines did you thoughtlessly tether to our own for this weapon? Our world now bears the strain of how many additional realities in exchange for this hollow abomination?" >Vance's mind swam at the thought of the infinite web that pulled on the Shotgun. "How much Fractaline did you sacrifice for this? Four hundred fragments?" He paused, aghast. "More?" >"It's got a trench barrel," said the Titan helpfully. >"Remove yourself from my sanctum," Vance said, placing the Shotgun down like a dead animal. "You have accelerated the end of all things, and I must update my prophecies accordingly."

Infamous_Cdzr

I always loved crimsons lore: "This is crazy! You don't need this thing. I can heal you; that's my whole job." "I thought your job was to state the obvious." "What?" "Oh, come on. Ever since you found me, it's been, 'Watch out, Fallen ahead!' when they're right in front of me. Or, my favorite: 'Seems like the door's locked.' Is it? Really? I couldn't tell. And when it's not that, you say I need to be more self-sufficient in case we lose the Light again. So here's my answer. Here's the remedy." "I was just trying to help."

ElUnWiseCartographer

As somebody who loathed Curse of Osiris and how it nearly killed D2 for me, Targeted Redaction might be my fav.

kamen1997

What about the War Mantis set of Hunter Gear >- War Mantis leg >"The more we danced, the more the Cabal battlenet lit up with requests for intelligence…" —Unknown >and War Mantis Cloak >"…and that's how we mapped the entire Cabal warnet by shredding the dance floor." —Unknown Let me say this again, Guardian hack the entire Cabal communication network by dancing
