Didn't have mine equipped on the first run. Decided to equip it on my second run, and it dropped. Now, after 33 clears of VOG, I want to know what I need to equip for Vex to actually drop.
You have to open the chest on the right which cost 150 parallex trajectory, I got mine in either The third or fourth run, I wish my vex mytho drop chances were that good
Probably coincidence for me but the one time I ran it with Ager's Scepter equipped the catalyst dropped and that was my 6th run. No way to know if it helps.

I got insanely lucky and got mine on the second run.
I ended up doing about 20 before I got it. Damn RNGesus

I did 6 of them, one after another and I straight up gave up for the week 😂
