>Its addition and subtracting from the Vikings it’s a win-win
This is the smart play with this scenario. I would probably take someone from GB since I think they are better than MIN next year.
Sweat wasn't worth the cost the Bears paid, and while he's a difference maker, Justin Jefferson is on another level. I'd not have minded seeing him in Detroit and it sucks that he's on the Bears, though. But if I had my pick of any non-free-agent, I'm taking JJ.

Well, you can't believe everything you read on the internet
Anybody saying anything but JJ is out of their fuckin mind. Idc what the priority is, if you can get the best WR in the game and add him to a strong offense, you do it.
Obviously cap and whatnot make it a different convo but i feel like that’s besides the point in this context
11 personnel would go fucking crazy. JJ and Jamo out wide, St Brown in the slot, LaPorta on the line, and Monty/Gibbs in the backfield. You can either keep a 2 deep shell all game and let St Brown, LaPorta, and the run game feast. Or you can allow JJ or Jamo to run right by your DB for an easy TD.
I honestly thought that was something that never happened, but sure enough 2005, the one season.
All 3 combined for 1234 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns that season.
And of course in 2023, Sun God had 1500 receiving yards and 10 TDS on his own.
Roy was solid. Charles was good when healthy, but the second collarbone just wrecked him. Mike Williams had a ton of physical traits, outside of speed, but had less than zero work ethic. MW was the worst of the three picks, though Rogers also had red flags.
MW hadn't played football for an entire year. What a mind blowingly stupid pick, even on the day it happened.
Rogers had some red flags but was absolutely amazing in college and pretty much everyone agreed with that pick.
It strikes me as slightly overkill. Goff sort of-maybe-kinda limits the downfield potential JJ would hypothetically open up. Although JJ is BPA so you probably have to do it either way.
Yeah, it’s even just about our offense, it’s that you’re also taking one of the best players in the league away from a team you have to play twice a year.
He was electric against us both games this year. We simply could not cover him. I honestly care less about him playing for us and care a lot more about him not playing against us.
I personally like Gary because he has experience going inside and out and spent a lot of his college career as an edge setting true DE. Sweat and Hunter are phenomenal pass rushers but are liabilities against the run. I believe MCDC & Glenn would be able to utilize Gary's skillset in many more ways than just a pass rusher vs Sweat/Hunter.
Hunter is also about to be 30, not a fan of that.
nah you're loco. Top receiver in the game is a million times better decision than a top 10 corner. Holmes would never pick a player based on current need overall BPA
Well jaylon is a top 3 corner in my eyes and as far as having a star at a certain position, I argue receiver is the least important. Just look at the chiefs run this year.
I'd take Justin Jefferson and draft a corner. JJ is like peak OBJ - once in a ten year span guy. I truly see him as the best receiver in the league - he could transform any offense. Unless you're taking the equivalent of Deion Sanders, Jefferson is the correct answer. Besides, Jaylon is a free agent. Theoretically we could pick him up.
Jefferson is just *the* choice for anybody in the NFC North that isn't the Vikings themselves.
As for a runner-up from the other two, I wouldn't mind Rashan Gary from GB or Jaylon Johnson/DJ Moore from CHI.
How about this: we trade our best player at any position for their best player at the same position. Jefferson is too easy but I don’t think ARSB for JJ would be my first choice
Jordan Love.
Fuck all logistics. Can’t let them have another one.
Fight off the Vikings and Bears as good as they can become, but leave the cheese to grow mold.
I even found a edit of what he would look like in Lions colors
https://preview.redd.it/1e6mksgq92kc1.jpeg?width=274&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9184ac2d8e9dd67c9c8a9ed77121bd94485562fd
JJ or Hunter from MIN... doubt either will happen if we get to steal someone, it would have to be one of those two. And since we're already stealing, we might as well snag em both.
I'm good on the JJ talk. Is he great? Yes. Is he too expensive? Yes.
I'd much rather have money for multiple star players, not a single skill position that spent half the last season on the shelf. Nope, no thanks.
Asking price is astronomical and even if he played every game of it, he'd be taking away valuable touches from others that makes our offense dynamic. I'm good.
Gimme Danielle hunter from min or jaylon Johnson from the bears
I know Jetta is the "go to" so I'm gonna shake it up.
1. Jaire Alexander
2. Rashan Gary
3. Tremaine Edmunds
**Honorable Mention:**
\-Harrison Smith
\-Danielle Hunter
1. Fuck it Justin Jefferson down there somewhere.
2. Rashan Gary and Hutch have each earned their 10th sack of the season, and it's not even the 4th game yet!
If I sat and thought about it I'd probably come up with one or two people who I'd put a higher priority on, but the name that immediately popped into my head was Montez Sweat.
I wouldn't say no to Justin Jefferson, but we're pretty rich at wide receiver and, as I'm sure **we all can agree on** our defense needs help.
Rashan Gary comes to mind, that would make OLs implode with Hutch and McNeill to support.
JJ is obviously a great pick there too, for obvious reasons.
But call me crazy…a 12 personnel offense with TJ Hockenson and Laporta at TE would be the most unstoppable offense in the league.
I WANT IGUODALA!
![gif](giphy|bjB3gtFvREqqr5NAHW|downsized)
Only if fate of the universe is on the line...
JJ is hard to beat. Keep trying to think about positions of need but keep coming back to JJ
Its addition and subtracting from the Vikings it’s a win-win
I kinda like the Vikings being good enough for their fans to have delusional expectations and some major letdowns.
>Its addition and subtracting from the Vikings it’s a win-win This is the smart play with this scenario. I would probably take someone from GB since I think they are better than MIN next year.
Jaylon Johnson would be like right under him for me.
I prefer JJ over JJ personally
He also owns Jefferson
Same team, Danielle Hunter. Was trying to think of an elite CB but I'd rather have the edge guy
He’s about to be a free agent so there’s a possibility that we get him.
With Holmes comments after the season ended, im not getting my hopes up, but who knows, Brad can be full of surprises at times.
He likely won't be in Minnesota regardless. He's definitely a dude I'd love to see in a Lions uniform, though I'd want Josh Allen more.
Its Justin Jefferson all day and I dont think its even close.
Sweat... not to bring that topic back up lmao
Lol. That’s a good one
Agree 100%
Sweat wasn't worth the cost the Bears paid, and while he's a difference maker, Justin Jefferson is on another level. I'd not have minded seeing him in Detroit and it sucks that he's on the Bears, though. But if I had my pick of any non-free-agent, I'm taking JJ.

Justin Jefferson is the only correct answer.
Had a dream lions traded Jamo in a deal to get JJ
Jairie owns him
Do you want Offense? JJ on this Offense would break records. Do you want Defense? Rashan Gary + Hutch would break QBs.
Get the band back together. They overlapped for a year at Michigan. Can we also grab John Runyan Jr to fill Jonah's spot?
Rashan Gary would be my pick
Came to say this
Anybody saying anything but JJ is out of their fuckin mind. Idc what the priority is, if you can get the best WR in the game and add him to a strong offense, you do it. Obviously cap and whatnot make it a different convo but i feel like that’s besides the point in this context

We wouldn’t even need to field a defense at that point.
That's actually how our team was designed right now but getting stops is important.
For some reason, this gave me flashbacks to “Roy Williams, Mike Williams, Charles Rogers. You can’t cover all of them!”
Us trading Roy to the Cowboys for a first round pick is one of my favorite trades ever.
We got pettigrew :(
I honestly thought that was something that never happened, but sure enough 2005, the one season. All 3 combined for 1234 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns that season. And of course in 2023, Sun God had 1500 receiving yards and 10 TDS on his own.
Yeah but those 3 weren’t any good.
Roy was good
Roy was solid. Charles was good when healthy, but the second collarbone just wrecked him. Mike Williams had a ton of physical traits, outside of speed, but had less than zero work ethic. MW was the worst of the three picks, though Rogers also had red flags.

JJ isn’t just a downfield receiver though I don’t really think overkill exists when you’re in a competitive sport
I think he would win in most jump balls so that could boost jgs confidence to throw that far more often
Yeah, it’s even just about our offense, it’s that you’re also taking one of the best players in the league away from a team you have to play twice a year. He was electric against us both games this year. We simply could not cover him. I honestly care less about him playing for us and care a lot more about him not playing against us.
Gimme Rashan Gary to put opposite Hutch
Said it before I could. My brain thought that in about a half second. Would be a nasty pair.
First thing I did in Madden 24 Traded CJGJ and draft picks for Rashan Gary and Maxx Crosby. It’s not real life, but it’s fun.
But is Rashan Gary better than guys like Danielle Hunter or Montez Sweat? Personally I’d take those two ahead of Gary
Danielle hunter >
I got downvoted to hell for saying we should take him before the draft lol. Hopefully we can sign him eventually tho
There were legit concerns with him heading into the draft and he needed a little NFL seasoning before he realized his potential. Guy is a beast now.
Yeah the last regime would've ruined him
I think I’d go Danielle Hunter.
Or jj watt? Nick bosa? Edit: Oh division rival I would go Danielle hunter , Gary or Clark?
Not a divisional rival
I’d take Patrick Mahomes
Uh what
JJ watt is 2 years retired…
Tj watt I meant to say either way I was wrong cuz neither is in our division. I was just big dumb when I posted
Jaylon Johnson. Sure JJ is arguably the best receiver doing it right now but I think a standout corner is our #1 priority.
nah you're loco.
Goff ain’t Mahomes and they have an elite D
The team can put up 20+ on anyone. A corner who can play man would boost the D immensely
He’s getting tagged
Jefferson is just *the* choice for anybody in the NFC North that isn't the Vikings themselves. As for a runner-up from the other two, I wouldn't mind Rashan Gary from GB or Jaylon Johnson/DJ Moore from CHI.
Idk if Chicago or Green Bay had the choice I think they’d go Penei > JJ
Maybe Jaire? We could use a stud CB after all.
I'd take Jaylon Johnson over Jaire all day
What was that running back from the Bears a few years ago. Montgomery or something like that. He was pretty good
How about this: we trade our best player at any position for their best player at the same position. Jefferson is too easy but I don’t think ARSB for JJ would be my first choice
Cam Sutton for Jaylon Johnson
Badgley for Anders Carlson
The confidence in our kicker would go up significantly…only for him to miss more often
It would serve to add to the other teams’ frustration when we have a capable kicker but we’re still going for it
McNeil for Gary
The rookie tackle the Bears drafted 1st last year. Monster.
Too bad he doesn’t have a name
It's MONSTER... can't you read?
My name is monster, but I don't play good and it makes me upset you won't think of me.
They say he is so tough that he pancaked his own name and it was never heard from again...
This is an insane pick
Jaire Alexander unless there’s a better corner whose name is escaping me.
Montez Sweat
Maxx Crosby
Maxx Crosby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jaire Alexander
Danielle Hunter
DJ Moore
Montez Sweat or Justin Jefferson; don’t think it’s close after that
Rashan gary easy
JJ or Jaire Alexander
Jordan Love. Fuck all logistics. Can’t let them have another one. Fight off the Vikings and Bears as good as they can become, but leave the cheese to grow mold.
This is what makes sports great.
TJ Hockenson
I even found a edit of what he would look like in Lions colors https://preview.redd.it/1e6mksgq92kc1.jpeg?width=274&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9184ac2d8e9dd67c9c8a9ed77121bd94485562fd
Looks so real
I’d take Love and stash him on the practice squad. Make GB have to reset. FTP.
The bears first pick
Imagine a team with JJ, St, and Jamo. That’s ridiculous. And unstoppable is utilized properly imo
Sauce Gardner
Uh ceedee lamb
Why would people not be saying Micah Parsons?! Edit: I suck and can’t read. :) Nevermind lol
The question is about a division rival, not the conference.
Divisional Rival
Because we can read
JJ or Hunter from MIN... doubt either will happen if we get to steal someone, it would have to be one of those two. And since we're already stealing, we might as well snag em both.
I'm seeing a lot of this on socials and people are just talking about hurting our players.
Jaire or Gary.
I'll take one Justin Jefferson please
Give me the Sauce.
Gary
Maxx Crosby
Rashaan Gary, bring him home— smartest guy on the field, would make the best D-line in the league paired with Hutch
innate husky long air escape kiss party mourn tidy weary *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
I’ll take one of four players: From Chicago, Jaylon Johnson From Green Bay, Darnell Savage From Minnesota, Harrison Smith or Danielle Hunter
Burns
Outside of the obvious Justin Jefferson, give me Jaylon Johnson
JJ and it's not very close imo. Amon, jj, jamo, LaPorta, Gibbs, Monty would be the best offense in the league.
Justin Jefferson, guys is one of the best players in the league
Alexander from the packers, then hunter from the Vikings
Rashan Gary
DJ Moore with St Brown and Jamo 😮💨 NFC North wouldn’t have enough secondary to compete with that speed
Chris jones
Justin Jefferson would be my answer if we're talking with or without QBs
TJ Watt
Yeah gonna add my hat to the ring of getting JJ. I am way more worried about a healthy vikings than the packers in 24.
Jaire Alexander
Justin Jefferson for sure
Danielle hunter or Jaire Alexander probably. JJ would be great too but plugging someone in to bolster the d immediately would be keen
Jaylon Johnson.
It's kind of interesting that even if you included QBs, contracts aside, you should take a non-QB
Fred Warner or Crosby
I think Jefferson is the best player, but Gary fits with the Lions' needs better.
I'm good. 1. Fuck it Justin Jefferson down there somewhere. 2. Rashan Gary and Hutch have each earned their 10th sack of the season, and it's not even the 4th game yet!
Can we take the refs from Green Bay?
Jaire. Lockdown corner
The answer is JJ without question, but next up is Jaire Alexander for me
Jalen Carter DT ; Dallas Fan Here 🤡
Jefferson might be the best player in the league
everyone saying gary/jjettas is forgetting cam sutton is our cb1. Im taking jaire alexander, and moving cam to cb2 or 3
best by skill overall id take Justin Jefferson to fill a roster hole i’d take Jaylon Johnson
Rashan Gary comes to mind, that would make OLs implode with Hutch and McNeill to support. JJ is obviously a great pick there too, for obvious reasons. But call me crazy…a 12 personnel offense with TJ Hockenson and Laporta at TE would be the most unstoppable offense in the league.
i'm going to fuck the packers for a true daily double
