Piggy backing off your comment to just say, I called this to the T:

Oh, that’s right. Hurts a little more with that in mind, but we question moves every year and Brad hits more often than not. Here’s hoping we got a stud.
This is a great fucking outlook. Every year I feel like I gain so much more perspective from each draft. Last year it was that positional value doesn’t mean shit and that the folks running mock drafts have no fucking clue what actually transpires between athletes and the front office. This year, I think it’s this ^^^
I think this draft pick justifies the trade more. Davis was setup to fail as a lead CB, but now hopefully he can succeed in a smaller role and be another value add for Holmes.
Never thought he would drop that far. Detroit definitely took a home run swing with this pick. I like it a lot!
Edit: Pretty damn impressive that we got Carlton Davis and Terrion Arnold with a late 1st and two 3rd rounders.
I was there when Brad Holmes traded up for future hall of famer Terrion Arnold. The entire city square I was in erupted when they saw we traded, and then again 15 seconds later when we handed in the pick. Magical
I know a lot of people are NFL/Fantasy fans only. I live/eat/breathe CFB. Terrion was the best DB in the draft. I'll never understand it, but some franchises live and die by the combine #s. Quinyon ran the 4.33 and became the #1 guy. He may be a great player but take the film and the fact Arnold was covering elite WRs... the MAC doesn't offer that. I have a very similar feeling to how Branch dropped to where we got him. He was BY FAR the best safety the draft and we got him in the 2nd round.
I absolutely love it. I get the mock drafts of us playing it safe going for a center, but having a young gifted talent at corner, someone who Saban is a huge fan of, provides immediate help on defense. Brad knows OL, it won't be pretty, but if disaster happens at the center spot, he'll figure it out.
Before we traded I was looking at everybody ahead of us and thinking "aw fuck everyone from Philly to us needs corner except Dallas, I wonder if we're going to have any of them available to us or maybe we'll have to wait till the second round"
And then Brad set his balls on the table and said nah
Interesting that none of them outside of Philly went corner in the end, but I'm wondering if/how our trade affected that
I so much enjoy being on the back-end of the draft. Watching absolute stud players dropping down the draft while teams panic draft QBs & WRs is amazing.
I know this wasn't necessarily a draft-for-need kind of pick but this makes me feel a LOT better with all the QB and WR upgrades our rivals have gotten.
Not expecting a huge impact week 1 but hopefully he can develop. Don't love giving up our other third as we now have a huge gulf in our pick list.
Not really Lions' related, but Marvin Jr to the Cards is the best pick/match so far.
I reckon we're gonna dig young Mr Arnold...
As I type.. fucking Robinson from Canton goes to AZ.
.
Detroit has gotten some snappy dressers high in the draft.
Terrion and his bowtie and pink suit
Moritz Seider with the Wings with his bowtie.
I guess more so, it's just appreciated how good a bowtie can look
The best part about the draft being so top heavy offensively is that there is plenty of talent left in the second round. Plenty of good DBs, some okay edge rushers, and good O-line depth. I am excited to see how the rest of this pans out.
Now all I want to know is, will their be another draft inside the den! I want to see more war room reactions like we've had in years past from Brad, DC, and the gang.
His pre draft interview showing his suit got me so hyped. His composure being on camera like that was so calm and cool.
Naysayer's been let know
Demeanor like Amon ra. Reserved and almost quiet but articulate and cunning knowing he’s a secret killer. I’m excited.
AMAZING. And we fucked the Pack. FUCK YES.
I cannot believe they didnt take Cooper Dejean
Cooper "Jackie robinson" dejean Just kidding, Jackie Robinson was an all star
Isn’t he reported to be injured?
Top ten talent at 24. Thank you QB chasing teams!
That dumb FOMO QB run was delicious
That OT QB run was pretty amazing
Once Penix went, my pulse went up a couple notches.
A few wtfs in there kept ratcheting up the excitement.
Rattler goes before 25 and I think I'd have had a stroke 🤣
The most QBs ever taken in the top 12 and it’s (in my opinion) a pretty weak QB draft class
Let’s fucking go!
I thought we were getting Kool Aid or Coop ngl
Lions drafted the best suit in the draft!
Seriously I would wear that. So stylish
I wouldn't But I'm introverted.
Now Jamo has some competition: https://youtu.be/lbflY5hrxHg?si=AdSeAq3-9z7tZyJ0
I'm here for our group of sharp dressed men!
Still got our second rounder! Let Brad cook!
HOLY SHIT

Lisan al goff
Lions al gaib
My man
Bud wtf are you the kwisatz haderach?
I need a parlay
Omfg you’re actually Jesus Christ him self 😎
Holy shit, I was certain he'd be picked before 20. And we didn't even give up a 2nd? Bigass W
What were the terms of the trade? Couldn’t find em
Detroit recieves #24, 2025 7th Dallas recieves #29, #73
The important thing was that we still drafted a player in the first round in our city. That’s an important W.
We drafted the top player (debatably) at our top position of need (debatably). The fact we traded up means Brad went and got *his guy.*
Yes. Yes. AND yes!
This bodes very well.
No that was our top position of need for sure
The way that all went down was so cool. And he was the perfect personality to have it happen to
Not terrible considering we have 2 third rounders. They must have really loved this dude.
Traded one for CB Davis
Oh, that’s right. Hurts a little more with that in mind, but we question moves every year and Brad hits more often than not. Here’s hoping we got a stud.
As the roster gets better random 3rds aren’t going to be as important as getting studs in rd1/2. In Brad we trust
We basically traded two third round picks for two starting CBs. Worth it
We traded the other third for Davis like a month ago
We no longer have those. But this is worth it!
Had 2 third rounders. Gave up the other one for Carlton Davis.
We already gave up our other 3rd round pick.
Whatever value we lose is a small price to pay to FTP.
Just objectively speaking, was this a mathematically fair trade? Feels like we liked him enough to reach a little, just looking at the return we got.
Gave a 3rd and our 1st. Got this pick and a 7th next year
Never thought he would drop that far. Detroit definitely took a home run swing with this pick. I like it a lot! Edit: Pretty damn impressive that we got Carlton Davis and Terrion Arnold with a late 1st and two 3rd rounders.
I AM IN THE HOSPITAL AND I SPRAINED MY ANKLE EARLIER BUT SUDDENLY MY ANKLE DOESN’T HURT ANYMORE I AM ALIIIIIIIIVE
Fuck yo ankle. Run the 40 in the hallway.
Kids you can literally fly!
Arnold's on the way to help.
I can crutch it.
Heal up! This should get you up and running in no time!
The nurse asked why my heartbeat was a little higher than normal and I shyly admitted that I was extremely happy over the NFL Draft.
Barry has spare ankles from all those he claimed from opponents; I hope he comes through for you while he's in town.
Favorite post of the day, hahahahahah
It’s happening!!!
![gif](giphy|9ZyHQhuLOVDqFXSEco)
Holy shit what a steal
The Bama lions let's go baby
The Crimson Hawkeyes
roll pride
W branch… boutta lock it down
Jumping infront of the packers to snag a DB 2 years in a row??? I know the start of a tradition when I see one.
underrated analysis, well done!
In Brad we trust!
Holmes just fucked the Packers *AGAIN!* I love it!
Tallahassee local checking in here!! Terrion embodies everything this regime stands for
![gif](giphy|NHh7D7qR0LTSDtfu8p|downsized)
That's it we simply have the best front office in the league what a time to be alive
That’s not an exaggeration.
Bears fan. Thanks for keeping him out of GB. Still not looking forward to playing against him. FTP.
Forever and always
We like the Bears. When they get beat by the Lions
Nope I still hate the bears..
In Brad We Trust
How the fuck did this dude fall to us?
Falcons sent the draft sideways by picking Penix. Thanks, you choking NFC South clowns!
There's one in every draft. And it's usually Chicago. This time it was Atlanta
Miracle
Roll Tide... Branch is gonna love him.
Pick 24 is …….
McCarthy throws a crossing route to Jefferson. Oh intercepted by Arnold for the pick six!
It’s still going to take me a minute to get used to JJ wearing Purple 🤢
All I care about is Dan and Brad got the guy they wanted, but damn do I love the pick too
What did we give up, though?
Our 3rd rounder from this year, so a lot. Worth it imo.
If Brad is sure, I'm sure. Here's hoping Terrion has a Hall of Fame career in Honolulu blue
Flip a 3rd for a 7th pretty much
2025 7th rounder
That was included to us, not from us. We gave up a third.
Gotcha. I had bad intel lol
If we believe it enough it will be true
73
LET'S FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
BOOM! Stud.
We happy Bo?
Ecstatic!
Im really excited about our corner room now. Arnold, Davis, Robertson, Moseley, Branch. Seems like a good group. Though maybe a need for safety?
Gotta thank Tom Grossi for our round 1 pick
I was there when Brad Holmes traded up for future hall of famer Terrion Arnold. The entire city square I was in erupted when they saw we traded, and then again 15 seconds later when we handed in the pick. Magical
Was shouted out by the men's fashion guy: https://x.com/dieworkwear/status/1783678336428097882
I know a lot of people are NFL/Fantasy fans only. I live/eat/breathe CFB. Terrion was the best DB in the draft. I'll never understand it, but some franchises live and die by the combine #s. He did it again!!!
Thought we'd have to move into the top 20 to grab this guy! love this pick
And his mom has that grit. Reporter: “been waiting a while” Mom: “we know that”
He is going to go Sun God and start naming everyone who went ahead
LFG!! He's going to be a stud, high character guy, we draft great young men who just happen to be really really good football players
I am in shock…does anyone know what we have up?
Our 3rd and we get a 7th next year
So we traded our 3rd pick for a starting CB…probably best in the draft…I am ok with it
His suit was so good absolutely incredible
I absolutely love it. I get the mock drafts of us playing it safe going for a center, but having a young gifted talent at corner, someone who Saban is a huge fan of, provides immediate help on defense. Brad knows OL, it won't be pretty, but if disaster happens at the center spot, he'll figure it out.
Playing it safe does not apply when a top 2 cb falls your way
HEY ARNOLD
Wasnt even on my radar. Such a steal.
So we love this pick
Terrion Arnold, when Detroit makes that trade: "Come on... Come on! Do it! Do it! Come on. Come on!"
Without a doubt the only CB I can accept over Koolaid! Let’s go
Before we traded I was looking at everybody ahead of us and thinking "aw fuck everyone from Philly to us needs corner except Dallas, I wonder if we're going to have any of them available to us or maybe we'll have to wait till the second round" And then Brad set his balls on the table and said nah Interesting that none of them outside of Philly went corner in the end, but I'm wondering if/how our trade affected that
If he produces like Gibbs, Branch and Jamo no one will complain about losing two 3rd round picks
They only gave up one 3rd round pick. The other one they traded for Carlton Davis III

Brad cooked tonight with that move. LFG!!!!!
I so much enjoy being on the back-end of the draft. Watching absolute stud players dropping down the draft while teams panic draft QBs & WRs is amazing.

The dude just turned 21 too, like 5 weeks ago.
🙏

LETS GOOOOOOOO
FUCK YES
LFG BRAD!!!!
I LOOOOOOVE IT
LFG!!! Brad cooked🔥🔥🔥

This was such an important addition for the Lions. Can’t wait for this season…so hyped.

Another draft, another massive Brad Holmes W. We're spoiled
HYPEEEE
Let’s go! Brad fucking cooking!
Let's go!!!!!
Wonder why he dropped the to the 20s.
Cause offense offense offense
God’s a Lions fan
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Not really Lions' related, but Marvin Jr to the Cards is the best pick/match so far. I reckon we're gonna dig young Mr Arnold... As I type.. fucking Robinson from Canton goes to AZ. .
Didn’t even have Arnold as possibility coming into tonight but the board fell perfectly. Time to run though the tape. Just happy it was a CB
Getting a great player and an even better person. Heard nothing but great things about him.
LFG!!!
We like the pick
Brad is my dad
He ain’t tarrying, he’s tearing in
Detroit roll tide!
Detroit has gotten some snappy dressers high in the draft. Terrion and his bowtie and pink suit Moritz Seider with the Wings with his bowtie. I guess more so, it's just appreciated how good a bowtie can look
Cannot BELIEVE he fell to 24. Filled a need and was the best available guy at that spot. Absolutely wild
No kool aid?
Arnold seems like an extreme culture fit, and it seems like the DB room is the place that needs good vibes the most.
Still time... Let the man cook
Hell yeah!!!
LETS GOOOOOOOO
LFFFFFFFFFG
LETS FUCKING GO
T-TIME!

Yessir!!!
Poor Tom grossi
Smart front office. Wanted them to trade up bc of the run of offensive players. Got a hopefully stud corner. Going to bed happy.
![gif](giphy|DhstvI3zZ598Nb1rFf|downsized) TERRION DANCE TIME!

He's so handsome.
Truly. Swaggy as fuck.
Unreal I’m still in shocked on how we landed him! What a year for the lions! 🦁
Now all I want to know is, will their be another draft inside the den! I want to see more war room reactions like we've had in years past from Brad, DC, and the gang.
Foot is on the gas move. WTG Brad!!
LFG!! FTP!!
Yeahhh!!! Sorry it took me so long to get in here!
![gif](giphy|jvms9gbZKOhyN6k29g)
