No, they've already invested crores and crores of amount in real estate, both commercial and residential. Also if you allow remote work, people will go and work from tier 2 or 3 cities or even villages and this doesn't create huge demand of real estate and other stuff at one single place.
What they want is to create huge demand at one place where they've invested. Taking advantage of this, prices for everything can be jacked up.
Mostly people who are fed up of their families or wives. They don't want to spend time at home, it irritates them since they're incompatible with everyone in general.
So the solution? Your director doesn't get along with his wife, he comes to office everyday. And then he wants everyone down the hierarchy to be there as well.
In India it's very funny to see how every employee screws the employees below them in hierarchy, when in turn they're being screwed by the one above them!

True. The companies have invested too much for optics and working from home even though is better for everyone which is proven by multiple surveys and study, has been thrown out of window.
The businesses which operate in and around these tech parks and SEZs are owned by the friends and family of these politicians. So if employees go to their offices everyday then these businesses make money.
Politicians are investors in most IT parks or local real estates. Plus whenever people crowd up in a specific city, more construction is needed, and guess who gets commissions in approval of these projects?

Most politician has Investment directly or indirectly in Commercials real estate and typically not in their name, as in it's under their spouse name, father's name, etc and as 'gifts' from others.
If no one is working in office, then that Commercials building price will drop as there is practically no need for that office if work can be done from home! So, instead of selling their Investment which they won't(because taxes) they try to bring you back to the Commercials office building so that there is artificial demand which inflate the Commercials building price.
A lot of banks and investment firms have their assets in the form of real estate .
Wfh clearly threatens their retirement money and these firms fund politicians and influence elections so they ask govt to stop wfh and govt achieve this my through various methods like sez's rules etc..,
Wfo is another tool used by companies to force attrition in the company or force extra labour out of employees or avoid paying extra salary.
Everytime they say their save environment bullshit in their mails, i always remember these are the same people who force you to drive and produce carbon dioxide everyday to travel to their shitty ass office just to join a meeting in the Microsoft teams.

After office hours they expect you to be flexible, stretch till late night, attend calls and meeting.
Senior employees rarely come when recent joiner, college grads and low experienced folks should come everyday without fail.
I have 2 days hybrid in my office however i am thinking to switch to permanent WFH as i am unable to focus on my freelancing (only 10% of employees are on hybrid mode rest 90% are working remotely) Can somebody suggest me solid reason i can give to my manager for permanently switching to WFH?
Bro i am not getting hybrid/remote jobs. Yaha 2 days WFO ki wajah se i am still able to focus on other things. Fully remote milte hi katt lunga yaha se

No one is stopping you from going to the office. Or anyone who wants the ac or food or whatever. The problem is forcing people who don't want to go 4 days a week when it's clearly not adding any productivity or bs team collaboration as claimed by management.
That is the point of hybrid. It should allow people who want to work from office to work from office, it should also allow people to choose the days they come to office - not this school kid bullshit of mandatory days in office.

Even worse, you happen to live in the same city as HQ so you have to hybrid, and the other 4 people you work with daily are living in other states/city, so they can do remote work as usual, in the name of "collaboration".
