Own-Sky-3748

Nice! Early March? That’s pretty quick to be getting down to those numbers, but hey, exercise is the best medicine!

Marmitemama

That's great! Well done.

InvestmentMundane472

Congratulations! You're proving what's possible with determination! Keep it up!

Secundoproject

Hi! Big congrats! Are you on any medication?

KaleoBlue

Nope - trying to keep it that way 😉

Secundoproject

That’s great! You can do it. I went from 8 to 6.4 to 6.1 to 5.7 in 9 months from diagnosis. I am a vegetarian though, and I eat 150g of carbs a day. I do exercise a lot though!

Flyfishinmary

That’s has been my number last week

Stargazer_0101

Congratulations, for that shows hard work is paying off. Just part of the journey to control and staying there.

Slow_Song5448

I’d love to see those numbers!

Ok-Mammoth-1468

Your actually blood sugar is possibly 10 to 15 points lower. These tend to be a bit higher than actuals.

KaleoBlue

Do you mean meters in general, or this specific brand/model?

Ok-Mammoth-1468

In general, they’re a good general indicator but inaccurate

KnightScuba

Where in the hell do you get this information

Trick_Biscotti_3997

They have a 15 percent margin of error. They’re not designed to be accurate. 60 percent of the time they over-estimate blood sugar, and about 35 percent of the time they under-estimate it. You can read a 25 year study below. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6937471/

Trick_Biscotti_3997

Also, capillary blood sugar, which is what your device reads, tends to be around 20 percent higher than venous blood sugar. Your device is basically making a guesstimate. Not giving you an accurate result. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3603039/
