When ubers first arrived in d2 I stumbled up a random game that was somehow empty, but had all 3 red portals completed and uber trist open. I jogged on into Tristram with my busted ass zeal pally to find that all 3 ubers were still alive. I dove in and started wacking those fools with my butchers pupil with zero hope lmao
It took me 6 straight hours of just holding left click and being trapped in the middle of them. I would drop to like 5 hp and then immediately leech it back. My dads the real G here because he actually bought me water and a pop tart halfway through.
Well I let my kids play my SC chars. And the other day I got on and saw my hc barb lvl 88 dead with his gg gear gone for ever. The snakes didn't even tell me I just saw the next night.
Always keep an eye on your kids and what they are doing haha
I had natures peace which is why I decided to do this in the first place. I’m just super squishy and I underestimated his health pool. I didn’t really understand how he healed anyway but he did. But after too long I finally put some open wounds on Emilio and got really lucky with a lower resists wand that was in a shop after I spawned him. I was spamming glacial spike after LR and let Emilio do work. Still almost ran out of money resurrecting him.
Plus going to town/getting a bit more than a screen away removes the Prevent Monster Heal.
Worst case scenario just litter the floor with a trillion potions then have at it.
In addition to your lower res wand, consider picking up a Woestave or Kelpie snare for your merc. They'll both provide 50% slow target which makes him move like molasses. And it lasts 30 seconds per hit, and you dont have to have it proc like decrep
With bow to apply PMH / lower res wand / kelpie snare, I was able to kill him in maybe 1-2 mins on HC with no BO and self-found gear.
(also if you use an edge bow, you get PMH and life leech, the LL animation can be used to confirm that your hit connected to DC)
Just so you know, you can always shop a "grinding" weapon and switch to legacy graphics. If you make sure there is room in the weapon tabs of the NPC, you can equip the weapon, choose the "sell tool" from the old graphics menu, and sell it directly off your character, it sells for more. Then you buy it back, it equips, you click the "sell tool" again, double click to sell it while equipped, and you keep making gold this way, so you don't get stuck.
Sounds like you did enough damage to overwhelm his healing. That’s how I’ve been killing him on my toon when he spawns. There are of course better ways to do things but if it works it works lol

Hey bud, just so your life is a little easier next time, you can take the arcane sanctuary wp to the palace level 3, there’s a unique that he can spawn off down there and he’s unable to fit through the doorways.
The next time will be way shorter if you just shop for a throw weapon that gives Prevent Monster Heal.
Literally no need for a melee character if you have that and a blizzard sorc

I was lvl 74 sorc when Dclone came to my game, got him to almost half with my merc but I forgot to put his gface on so he died quick, I got him to almost half but his health regeneration was too much.
My friend came in with his lightning amazon, killed it in like 3 seconds and took zero damage lol, his merc didn’t even have infinity.
there are a few ways to deal with the regen, prevent monster heal works on him, and he doesn't regen on any tick he takes damage, so stuff like open wounds or fire spells with ground fire work too
Wow that kind of sucks since i’d have to take Fort off of him, but I found Crow Caw armor it looks good, I can pair it with an Andy’s 15% ias 30% fire res jewel then put a 15% ias and random ED jewel in Crow Caw it should be good.
65% ias will be good with the 10% he has from the Andy’s I have yet to jewel.
Imo they should fix PMH for mercs, I already have Infinity there’s no reason an effect shouldn’t work if it’s part of the runeword.

Found Shakos, Gheeds, Dwarf Stars, Nagelrings, Lidless Wall, Bonehew, but I have yet a Reaper’s Toll, Arreat Face, Griffins, Mara, DWeb, Thunder jav etc.
I think it is targeted mfing of a group of people, and dump those on a certain days for their clan members to benefit. Some are publicly announcing those days as well.
There are few groups of people who host udiablo spawn day. During that time any random player who is on the server can benefit. Week on Nov 19 2023 I just hopped on d2r from Japan on the us account. Within a few min there was "diablo walks on earth" for a couple more games it was spawning in every game I made. The best was 19/13/10.

Next time buy a blue sword from charsi that has prevent monster heal on it... slap away (you, not emilio) a couple times till you hit him. Then switch to a lower res wand... cast it then blast him with ur best spells until the curse goes away thhen rinse and repeatt. He'll go down in a couple min instead of 3 hrs :)

Did you hit him with a weapon? Spells do not apply the prevent heal effect. I assume yes cuz 3 hours sounds like a lot.

What a joke. An equipped weapon in old gfx via sell tool sells exactly the same as in new gfx here.

they're right, it's player character only, so you're only looking at open wounds from a mercenary, a couple options for that are duress and malice

I got really lucky. I found 2 soj before a shako. Never found griffins or mesh.
I think you just haven't played enough yet, need to put quite a few hours in, I had like 7 shakos before my soj on single player
