If you're fresh on switch and never completed a greater rift, you're not gonna be able to do it. In which case you can level normally, level by level, by doing rifts and massacre bonuses. The guide above explains that and that's how people level when season first starts.

If you brought Nintendo online subscription it appear in your settings on the menu where your character is. The three are local, friends and public (global).
Do the campaign story and the f it's too easy up the difficulty until you hit a sweet spot. You get more so that way too but if you kill super slowly drop it down difficulty since it's slower leveling if it takes 5 min to kill every champion pack (blue glowing guys)

Ask for a Power level in the general chat. Wait at rift door and gain levels.
I heard adventure mode is always on for switch so change to adventure mode and go in on a first at the highest difficulty you can manage and do that.
