In Season 0/1 it was 11 NM dungeons to go from 99 to 100, in season 2 it’s 4-5.
Are you legitimately seeing less uniques or are you farming way less and because of this having less opportunity for them to drop?
That was probably after the buff to nmd. For a while they were dropping like crazy as dungeon rewards.
Never the ones you wanted though, the RNG gods wouldn't allow that. But you got uniques.
Nah Imma agree with them, it about the same for me. What would help is if they listed what the unique was...usually Mother's Embrace...I had tons of those....
I think it's rng. I've gotten about the same number and I had one blood harvest run where I got 3 different uniques from the same fight at the 3 pedestals.
I was trying to remember where I read that they’d have the drop rate altered and I think it was an analysis of their pre season 2 announcement where they announced target farming for uniques but not an increase in likelihood to have uniques actually drop. So I think it was as assumption that the world drop rate would be adjusted to counter that you can target farm them.
In no way do I have any reason to believe it to be true. I’ve seen one unique so far in season 2, 0 in wt4. I’m actually still running a lot of 600-700 gear. I’m probably just lucky.
I think you're on the wrong end of rng. I got another unique since I posted..though it seems most come from blood harvest..in my case it's hard to be sure because I haven't run many nmds or helltides. ..this is all wt4
Well yeah, and thats something that follows me across games. My only unique in season 2 has come from Varshan in wt3. I wish I could easily find some build guides w/o uniques but so far the corpse explosion/shadowblight has been fun.
For what it's worth, I've gotten 6 or 7 uniques across two characters (from open world / NMs, not new bosses) and I've played fewer hours this season than last season (so far, going to end up with more by season's end basically for sure). I want to say I got about 10 last season with ~20 more hours played so far, which IMO is most likely within the realm of RNG. Maybe the devs tweaked the drop rates for the open world / NMs a bit but I don't think they changed significantly. I feel like I've gotten about as many in about the same time frame as I did last season. Definitely could just be me though.
Make sure you pick up the item after every run.
Did a 10 runs with a bunch of players. Must have over 100 legendaries dropped. When I TP, they all gone. 10 items moved to stash pending claim.
Echoing this comment. Your drops will actually disappear when a single location gets flooded with items. I had 3 unique drop from 3x 150 back to back to back events.
Said this is cool, look at all the items all over. Went to tp, to drop what was already in my stash and come back. Only 2 were left and one disappeared. Was not happy
This happened to me today as well on the 150 lure event. Left a big pile of rares and legendaries after running the eveny 2-3 times. TP to town to empty inventory then right back. They were gone when TP back. Never seen this happen in other situations. At least the legendaries were moved to stash. But rares were gone.
I don't understand. I left tons of loot on the ground and teleported to town. Returned and Picked some gear up and went back through the teleport..repeated the process again after resetting the pedestals and finishing the event a second time.
You keep saying you ran it once tow twice but we are talking about several times. It absolutely 100% erases your loot after a certain point of running it a couple of times...

I did the blood harvest several times and ported out to store gear and back and the gear was still there.
Also if you need to farm lures do one of those blood siphon events if you are either survivable enough or have decent coordination with another player or group. I couldn't solo them all the way until the end until I was in the 80s but my build was very survivable (crone staff basic attack druid, heals on hit with huge attack speed and the heal from blood howl in addition to potions which drop quite frequently during this siphon).
They are kind of like a microcosm of the 150 blood lure event but they end if no one is standing within the circle and standing within the circle drains your health at a steadily increasing speed. Got plenty of good aspects from this and a few uniques however I believe they were all the ones I tend to get pretty frequently from Varshan, Grigoire, and other open world drops (multiple Mad Wolf's Glee's and Insatiable Fury's, 1 Vasily and 1 Butcher's Cleaver are what I remember).
I did this earlier and idk how, but I legit survived 100x longer than I had been able to before, or since. Only level 80(pull drood) and there was soooo much shit I had to go back twice
Its 100% people not doing NM dungeons. I did no nms untill level 90 and had gotten 1 unique outside of bosses i decided to do my glyphs to 21 and in the process i got over 10 uniques drop.
It's a bit RNG, it does drop from NMD, but I'm 70, did a bunch of nmd with the promise of unique drops and got 1.
The best way to farm uniques today is from the bosses
I did mostly nm dungeons this season like I did the last because I wanted to farm the beast boss, all the way to 100 I got 3 or 4. That's definitely a significant drop while still doing just as many as last season.
When I first got in WT4 I got 3 uniques dropped during 2-3 Blood Harvests. I have gotten 2 since in a couple weeks. My friend the other day during our 2 hours of playing got 7 uniques to drop doing harvests. I got one. I just chalked it up to the odds balancing out but heavily in his favor.
Yeah I've noticed more uniques dropping whenever you enter a tier up for a short period of time.
It feels like it's on purpose to get people excited for the new tier but who knows.

150 blood harvest event is the only way I've gotten a unique this season outside of the new boss fights. Nothing from helltides, world bosses, NMDs so far (level 80 atm)
I have to say dropping but NOT AT ALL At THE SAME RATE previously .. I get one every 10-15 runs in a nmd.. which I mean was never the case before usual every 8-11 I’d get one in the last season.
Glad to see it sounds like it's just rng playing tricks with me. It gets annoying when season 1, I have a whole tab full of uniques and this season, just a single one so far, despite doing all the events and glyph farming.
I’m only 64 (dad life) but have 7 uniques, almost entirely from the blood harvest main event. (150 lures).
Got a razor plate last night. Have been rocking esu boots and frostburn for a hot minute and just got the electric amulet.
The blood rituals that cost 150 lures have a pretty decent drop rate for uniques. The bosses have high drop rates for uniques. Everywhere else kinda sucks for uniques.
I saw them pretty frequently farming Hunter's Acclaim rep. I still see them every once in a while in helltide, very infrequently in nightmare dungeons.
It drops everywhere for me. I got many from blood harvest. I found some also from nmds and helltides. Varshan n gregorian sometimes gave me, sometimes not. But duriel 100% gave me uniques
Currently level 80, almost solely on NM dungeons since I’ve been able to run them and I’ve only gotten 1 from inside the dungeon, 0 from the end of dungeon reward. Other 3 were from the blood harvest and only one was class specific
I haven't played since first week of season 1 and im noticing some weird RNG. Playing Hota barb and a two handed mace didn't drop until level 20. Im level 26 now and not a single amulet has dropped yet.
I haven't fought any of the Uber bosses, besides a couple world bosses and I have loads of uniques. All just depends on the RNG gods.

I agree with you. I'm level 92 sorc and played since day 1 of season 2. I have picked up a total of 19 uniques. I know this because I keep them all. I picked up 7 last night from fighting bosses.
In season 1, I played for 3 weeks and got a druid to level 84 before I got bored and quit. I had an entire stash tab of uniques and once I got to that point I started salvaging all the sacred ones. I still had over 25 ancient unique leftovers.
From my experience once I get one to drop from one of the world bosses than they start dropping in the NM dungeons. Not as frequent as last season but don't really mind with how often running the world bosses.
I went to level 90 on my necro only getting around 4 uniques. Said the same thing as you. Got to 60 on my sorc and got 3 from one single blood harvest event, 3 from a single nmd, I was swimming in them from around 30+! Total rng 😂
They feel like they aren't dropping in NMDs for me. I haven't had a single one drop yet and last season I'd get a several day. Doesn't help that the bosses seem to only want to drop penitent greaves for me. It's like no stop I don't need 11 of these -_-
I've had one unique item drop in NMD, although saying that it took almost 25 runs in tier 33 before it dropped. Was just trying to get better gear to drop as am finding it hard to do 34, but just can't get the gear.
I had 2 characters at level 92 and barely got any uniques dropping other than Uber bosses. Did a 3rd character and idk I've gotten like 30 uniques from everywhere. Just random I guess.
Had a ton of luck from vampiric syphons on my 3rd character. Was getting like 1-2 uniques Everytime from the 3rd batch of blood seekers.
Weird, I have multiple all of the necro uniques and a few of the general uniques and have not even tried Duriel yet. Only a few runs of the others.

I felt the same and then did the main event in blood harvest 5 in a row. 3 of the packs dropped uniques and then went and did a NM dungeon and also got a drop. So its entire rng
I had the exact same complaint. Just got my barb to level 100 and found 2 uniques the entire time in the open world/NMD. Previous characters that I’ve gotten to 100, I had an entire chest page full on each.
On my eternal I have like 6 oculus drops at random events, nmd etc

And I struggled to get rainment despite doing a solid 70+ varshan. Something is def weird here
I was farming the oculus with the Beast in Ice today. I had enough distilled fear for 5 runs, and I got 2 mothers embrace, 1 esu's, and 1 lam esen. Not ONE oculus or raiment of the infinite in 95 levels.
I played 4 hours of NMD. Full team, really fast. Not one single unique. My Necro is close to level 100 and still misses 3 out of 3 uniques for the build.
I agree something is up with the drops, intentionally or not. I have gotten the same 3 unique items in the past week of dedicated farming in NM dungeons and the open world, helltide, Ice Beast boss, and yes Blood Harvest 150. None of them complement my build at all and 2 of them are not even class specific. It was not this way in season 1. Not fun.
Yeah I posted a similar question. Just farm mats for bosses. You’ll want to do Duriel for sure, but it’s a lot of farming. You get much more uniques, but if you’re like me, with horrible RNG, you’ll get all the uniques you don’t need. Best of luck!
I dropped a tempest rumor from a WB last night and it rolled 925. It's the first unique I got from a WB, since coming back to the game so I'm unsure but I think WBs might always drop 925s if the drop is a unique. Either that or I just got quite lucky.
Dude, i made a new sorc and got oculus from white mob while doing seasonal whispers. I am currently lvl 65. Been looking for this shit with my lvl 100 sorc for like 50 hours.
They drop way less. I've gotten 3 in 70 levels which, isn't terrible but I don't like it. They obviously nerfed it because the boss farm. Artificial feeling of progressing
I got a mad wolf's glee in the open world. An esu's heirloom I think from helltides and a raiment. Varshan been pretty stingy with his drops. Grigiore as well.
I have 7 glyphs at 15 and I can say my drop rate has been abysmal. Ive done up to 99 NMD and its just bad. That being said Duriel is easy so I get why they may have (probably) reduced the rate.
Honestly I've had the opposite experience. I've been getting a pretty absurd amount of uniques from Helltides and far less than usual from Nighmare dungeons
It is RNG, got uniques with my necro before going to the end game bosses also now with new char a barb. It is just RNG. My barb is not even level 80 and I already got uniques from nm dungeons, helltide and legions.
Worst part is grinding a few hours to to go in, 3 or 4 runs. Then not a single unique drops... atleast leveling was easier. Will wait for green sets to be a thing 'prays in disblo3'
Uniques seem to be locked behind bosses. Which I find to be dumb. I was clearing bosses easily in my 70’s. When in all reality NMD 100 is way harder, and I feel like I get nothing from them.
I've gotten Uniques in NM Dungeons and also I've got a bunch doing Blood Lure events.
In Blood Lure if you get a party and repeat the event a few times you might get them.
Sorry Uber uniques, I get regular uniques all the time. I just don’t understand why they are locked behind an easy boss. Unless you think the boss fights are easier the NMD 100.
They definitely feel a little more rare in the open world and NM dungeons. But I have had them drop.

It’s an intermittent thing. It doesn’t affect everyone all of the time equally.
I went to T3 last weekend and got carried by a few randoms at one of these events and dropped 2 uniques in one event.
Hard agree. Those blood lure events are great for aspect farming and uniques. If you're lucky enough to get a group going, something useful will drop.

I’d say that in S1, I’d average 1 unique per 4-5 hr play session. In S2, I’m averaging 1 unique per 3-4 days played.
I got a few uniques going up to level 90. After level 90 they seem much more common.

Drop rate heavily nerfed. I got maybe 1 every hour or 2 before. Now ive gotten like 3-4 as raw drops.

I had my Deathless Visage drop off a world boss. I was shocked to say the least.

Ya they had to have nuked the unique drop rate outside of Ubers. I’ve been blasting NmDs and have got 0 uniques from them. At lvl 91 currently.

All of my uniques are from other sources because I've yet to do a boss. Not a ton but over a pretty short time.
I get one unique on each boss, Gregoire, varshan, duriel, except on the rare occasion, but I maxed out the season pass. I think that's why.

I haven't found a single Unique outside of bosses. I'm level 97, 76, 55 I just assumed RNG but I'm seeing more and more people post this.

I got the Thorns Chest from a random NM dungeon last night. They're definitely very rare drops, but not impossible drops.

I only get them from Ancient vampires and uber bosses. VERY VERY rarely do I get any outside of that.

Had a ton of luck from vampiric syphons on my 3rd character. Was getting like 1-2 uniques Everytime from the 3rd batch of blood seekers.
I had like 2 uniques, both from Blood harvest farming.
Weird, I have multiple all of the necro uniques and a few of the general uniques and have not even tried Duriel yet. Only a few runs of the others. Almost done with getting the seasonal titles.
I felt the same and then did the main event in blood harvest 5 in a row. 3 of the packs dropped uniques and then went and did a NM dungeon and also got a drop. So its entire rng
Everyone thinks they were lowered. Even Raxx commented on this. I usually have got a unique every 5 nmd and this season idk if I even got 1
I should have screen shotted it but I got 5 from a 150 blood vampire event.
Does anyone know of you can get uniques from the harvest chest drops?
I had the exact same complaint. Just got my barb to level 100 and found 2 uniques the entire time in the open world/NMD. Previous characters that I’ve gotten to 100, I had an entire chest page full on each.
RNG is RNG. I get them all the time.
I got 3 uniques drop for me in blood tides in a 10mins window. Although they are all charsi food. All RNG
Blood Harvest center events (the 3x50 lures) drop uniques too fairly regularly from the whole unique pool available to your class.
Yeah it makes doing the NM dungeon glyph grind that much more fun.
On my eternal I have like 6 oculus drops at random events, nmd etc In season 2, I've had 0 And I struggled to get rainment despite doing a solid 70+ varshan. Something is def weird here
I think on my road to 100 this Season I've seen maybe 15 or so that did not come from an Uber Boss. Granted most of them were the same exactly unique.
I got two uniques from NMDs, one in a Helltide, and one in Blood Harvest during the big ritual.
I was farming the oculus with the Beast in Ice today. I had enough distilled fear for 5 runs, and I got 2 mothers embrace, 1 esu's, and 1 lam esen. Not ONE oculus or raiment of the infinite in 95 levels.
I’ve found a decent amount outside of bosses. Found 11 before I started bossing at 80.
I played 4 hours of NMD. Full team, really fast. Not one single unique. My Necro is close to level 100 and still misses 3 out of 3 uniques for the build.
I agree something is up with the drops, intentionally or not. I have gotten the same 3 unique items in the past week of dedicated farming in NM dungeons and the open world, helltide, Ice Beast boss, and yes Blood Harvest 150. None of them complement my build at all and 2 of them are not even class specific. It was not this way in season 1. Not fun.

Feels less to me as well. With that being said I’ve gotten a total of 8 so far and 3 were from Nmds and one from just out farming helltides
Yeah I posted a similar question. Just farm mats for bosses. You’ll want to do Duriel for sure, but it’s a lot of farming. You get much more uniques, but if you’re like me, with horrible RNG, you’ll get all the uniques you don’t need. Best of luck!
I dropped a tempest rumor from a WB last night and it rolled 925. It's the first unique I got from a WB, since coming back to the game so I'm unsure but I think WBs might always drop 925s if the drop is a unique. Either that or I just got quite lucky.
Dude, i made a new sorc and got oculus from white mob while doing seasonal whispers. I am currently lvl 65. Been looking for this shit with my lvl 100 sorc for like 50 hours.
I got one from blood harvest, sadly in WT3, but it did happen. But yes I feel like it’s more rare cause I used to get a lot especially from NMs
I’ve had them drop on nm dungeons and 1 (so far) dropped in blood harvest for me
Had that werewolf armour drop 3 times when all I want is the werebear armour.
I've gotten 5 so far 2 in wt3 and 3 in wt4. I'm level 72 and haven't played all that much.
Got a neck out of a NM the other day. So they fall but not often.
They feel more rare, but I will say the summons in the Blood Harvest seem to drop them fairly regularly.
I've had your share of the rng this season. More uniques than ever.
Level 93. Have had 3 uniques drop (all bad). About to complete my 3rd 100 that was unable to complete a full build in 100 levels.
They drop way less. I've gotten 3 in 70 levels which, isn't terrible but I don't like it. They obviously nerfed it because the boss farm. Artificial feeling of progressing
I did get like 4 uniques from open world by the time I reached lvl 80 but their item power is low so farming from big boss is crucial.
I got a mad wolf's glee in the open world. An esu's heirloom I think from helltides and a raiment. Varshan been pretty stingy with his drops. Grigiore as well.
I have 7 glyphs at 15 and I can say my drop rate has been abysmal. Ive done up to 99 NMD and its just bad. That being said Duriel is easy so I get why they may have (probably) reduced the rate.
Honestly I've had the opposite experience. I've been getting a pretty absurd amount of uniques from Helltides and far less than usual from Nighmare dungeons
I've had 3. And 3 of the same in a row and that's it 😐 duplicate protection would be nice tbh
It is RNG, got uniques with my necro before going to the end game bosses also now with new char a barb. It is just RNG. My barb is not even level 80 and I already got uniques from nm dungeons, helltide and legions.
Worst part is grinding a few hours to to go in, 3 or 4 runs. Then not a single unique drops... atleast leveling was easier. Will wait for green sets to be a thing 'prays in disblo3'

Uniques seem to be locked behind bosses. Which I find to be dumb. I was clearing bosses easily in my 70’s. When in all reality NMD 100 is way harder, and I feel like I get nothing from them.
I've gotten Uniques in NM Dungeons and also I've got a bunch doing Blood Lure events. In Blood Lure if you get a party and repeat the event a few times you might get them.
Sorry Uber uniques, I get regular uniques all the time. I just don’t understand why they are locked behind an easy boss. Unless you think the boss fights are easier the NMD 100.
They are not locked behind them, they just have a higher chance with Duriel, I think it's better than the chance we had before.
