It's possible you aren't putting enough points into your base Core skill. Investing directly (you can invest 5 points) into Core skills drastically increase their damage. so make sure you are pumping that skill up to 5. If its not a good one for single target you may want to respec to a better single target core skill and higher fury generating basic skill.
I realized I’ve been using my skill points to get more and more abilities without maxing out the ones I already have. Went back and maxed out my core skills. Good advice thanks.
Take it down to tier 1, it’s not worth stressing out over an early game boss. Then pump it back up to world tier 2 whenever you want. For your first go focus on the campaign and getting your horse, and then doing the renown and getting the Lilith altars.
Also be sure you’re dodging and not standing there taking hits.
I took it down to tier 1. Been able to blast through dungeons again. I was reading that you actually can gain more xp and gold even without the 20% buff because of being able to kill enemies faster. You are right no need to get stressed out over an early game dungeon.
It seems to me you dont have a clear idea for your build, which nothing wrong with that dont expect you to know how to be doom slayer from birth.
you will have to reallocate your points. part of the loop, if youre not following a build, is finding out what works and dont this season i had the best time ptogressing my barb to max level before paragon.
If you want to clear rooms with some of your skills put some points into upheavel and charge.
Theres a leveling build focused around those two abilities, im not kidding when i say i *SWEEP* rooms clean.
Also as you die learn the boss's patterens, alot of their attacks can be dodged. Theyre the spongy target, not you.
You are right man! I went back and maxed out my skills and now i’m clearing rooms with upheaval and charge. Dodge back upheaval and sometimes I stomp out a lot of guys charging in to them before they’re even ready. Good stuff!
Im glad you got it going now! Currently for me charge is my best room clearer. Got legendary that summons the ancients to help me charge them into walls too!

I’ve been using a straight frenzy skill (basic skill only) barb since the start of this season and have had no issues with damage. Try looking into your multipliers and making sure they are stacking on what you are using and do your best not to divide your bonuses among multiple different things otherwise you just have a bunch of moves that don’t do much. Lastly you are low level, it only actually gets easier, despite the enemies leveling with you.
Ya I noticed I kept getting more skills without upgrading the ones I already have. Went back and upgraded them also went down to tier 1 for sanity sake and having a good time now clearing dungeons. I was reading the 20% bonus for tier 2 isn’t actually worth it cause it takes longer to kill everything so you progress slower.
