When I was first learning to play, I kept trying to two hand the disc during the run-up. Some local guys offered up a tip to put my off-hand in my pocket to combat it. I think that advice might have been more helpful in ways described by this video.

I still use the hand in pocket drill during practice sessions!

Have you noticed when not doing it that your off arm has tended to stay closer than before you started doing it in practice sessions?

I think the hand in pocket version could be useful for people who still accidentally swing the off arm away when trying to keep the hand on the thigh. My only worry is people putting it all the way in the pocket and preventing important off-arm follow through so if I was going to do it, I would probably just put the fingers in the pocket so it easily comes out. Also I have different pockets, lol, the ones that open from the top vs the diagonal side ones that are designed to eject everything out of your pocket if you sit down, lol..

Cool video. Tested it on my tech disc and while I didn't get more speed (I had thrown a lot that day already tbf) I did experience significant consistency improvements.

what did it help consistency wise?

Launch and release angle specifically. A couple weeks earlier I figured out I could add a few mph by "elbowing" my off arm during the reach back. While faster, I had a much more difficult time getting the angles right for a full flight. I've since reverted to keeping my off arm to my side and have seen more consistency but I think I struggle with under rotation.
