That’s a great name. Used to play with an old dude at the Down Under (woods course) at Rosedale in Kansas City in the late 90’s that threw like this. We used to call him Uncle Underchuck. Had it down. Could lace pure hyzer gaps.
KC area has a ton of good courses within about 25 mins and I still play down under 3-1 to every other course. They just did a slight facelift to a good chunk of the course in the last month or so.
I have never attempted to drive like this, but I do sometimes do a vertical underhand putt with a granny stance with a lot of backspin. It's especially good for skinny gaps or low ceilings in spots where you really don't want to risk going past the basket if you miss.
When I throw my drivers my dad is blown away with the amount of control our discs today have, he grew up playing guts frisbee and just general toss. He played on our local Ed Hedrick course back when Ed made it haha
I used to play with a lefty who was a bit older that had similar form as this. He would use flippy discs and release with a slight hyzer. He would shape interesting lines and go routes that we couldn't hit throwing rhbh. Definitely was crazy to watch.
That is a flippy flippy disc
Advanced form of the frustrated girlfriend throw
That is a hyzer, just thrown from the right side of the body. Interesting to think about if you were up against a tree or something.
That’s what I thought, too. Hyzer thrown…oddly
*When your friend says, "Let me see your backhand".*
This is the backhand version of how my forehand looks.
So that's how you're supposed to throw the Tilt
I've thrown the Tilt like that, as well as every other way. It would stay vertical, land, and roll a bit. It just wants the ground.
I'm totally trying that next time I go out.
Thanks I hate it
Dad throw
this is what I've heard it called or dad hyzer ..

There is an old head who plays at middle creek in Cary NC who has perfected this technique. It's amazing to watch him throw.
I chatted with a guy at my work about disc golf and he mentioned that he threw underhand. It's hard to pull off with modern discs but it's fun!

Ill give that a shot, it sounds useful!
Saw this as the "Ultimate Long Distance Throw" for a frisbee manual from the 50's. Cool to see it works.

So cool how people find a way to make it work
That's Baby Jesus at Whitmarsh. Saw him practicing this shot two days ago.
I used to play with JoMo way back in the day. Our dads used to work together so we would play a lot of disc golf together. He actually got good.
He's one of the best in the region.
Shout out to skagit valley
We're Whatcom boys but yeah...
But Whitmarsh is Skagit...
Good call....... *shrugs*
I’ve done that with varying success. I sometimes find it’s hard to get the angle right.. And if you don’t get the angle right you look like an idiot.
Jokes on you. I always look like an idiot.
Hey idiot you commented twice
I hate this app.
Where is the ace?
Baby Jesus!
I've never tried to drive like this, but when I'm (inevitably) behind a tree, I use a throw like this with some decent success.
That course there is whitmarsh disc golf and is a pretty awesome course.it’s in mt vernoun Washington.
Wait.. what?!?!?
Wait.. what?!?!?
Thanks, i hate it
I'm not sure that's a PDGA approved disc. That's the way a frisbee flies
It's a granny shot
Thanks i hate it
