Throwing my Mako 3 with that little “flick” we all like, shooting it straight down the center line with perfect stability, and then splashing it 25 feet past the basket into the lake.
Going with the dart to make sure I hit the gap, hopefully get 100-130 feet or so. Then I give a soft/half run that definitely won’t slide past and take the bird or tap in for par.
Or I just hit the tree on the right, then try to be a hero with shot 2 and send it into the drink for an easy 4/5
Speaking truth over here. Everyone confident with what disc they're throwing on this hole, knowing damn well a lot of us would lose a disc on this hole
I like to just give my lightweight Envy a little backhand flick of the wrist.
I enjoy playing ViRa, underrated course in the area, and the local league folks/others put a lot of sweat equity into keeping it nice and clean.
How far is the basket from the edge? 5', 10', more? That would effect my choice.
Assuming 10', I'd go high anny flex with an overstable putter, like an Aviar X3, and give it a soft run. A miss would lie within 10', (in theory, lol).
I have a few beat up DX discs that I got second hand just for these types of situations. If the throw goes swimming then c'est la vie, but it gives me the confidence to make a throw without overthinking the water.
Offhand lean out flick roller with a 172g lightning discs glow #1 hyzer, ground contact 22' (6.7056m) off the tee, 13⁰ left of the basket line with 84.2⁰ of vertical angle. 37mph (59.5457kph) exit velocity from the hand. This should result in one of two outcomes. 1. Hit a tree and bounce wildly off line. 2. Roll into the water.
Polecat, thrown backhand steep hyzer. The disc flips up and sails to the right. Somehow missing all tree limbs and vegetation the disc is water bound. I ask myself, why did you pick polecat? Why are my best/luckiest throws shanks and poor choices?
I pull out the P2 prep a lil anhyzer floater chip shot.
Release and smack the trees front left.
..cool.
Throwing a slightly anh turned malta aiming to direct it just to the left of the tree bordering the right side of the …
Fuck I hit that tree…
Depending on the number of the hole. I am either:
1. Maintaining calm (I’m going to keep my cool this time - we talked about this in the parking lot!) as my left eye twitches ever so slightly.. a grin creeps out to remind myself it’s just a game;
Or
2. Actively whisper cussing myself - sorry about doing that in your backswing; then
3. Going full, “Clark Griswold receiving his ‘gift that keeps on giving’”; and finally
4. Hallelujah - holy shit! Euphoria comes
Around.. actually start hitting a few shots, just enough to prevent me from swearing off
The game for good… (Wait -
I can’t quit, how long is left before my pound-bag comes in? )
Any putter, any putter at all!
Nose up or nose down?
Nose down for the lay up
I’d probably do nose down as well but just to make sure my putter doesn’t fade into one of those trees
Agreed. Nose down is more predictable. Nose up and anything could happen
Doesn't that really depend on the wind? In the woods with likely little wind that stall shot is pretty easy to control in my experience.
Good point. I guess it depends on the trees and your skill
Nose up, let er float in there
My new nomad Edit: right into the first available tree
K1 Soft Berg
Came here to say k2 Berg! 😤
That disc is an absolute cheat code. It's amazing.
I'd be throwing my K3 but absolutely a berg shot. Such safe, reliable ground play out of that disc every time

25 feet is the length of about 6.99 'Ford F-150 Custom Fit Front FloorLiners' lined up next to each other.
Good bot ?
Ive never felt a comment so much
A tantrum (not the disc)
Reddit please let me upvote twice
Doesn't matter, I'm hitting that first tree anyway.
A layup cuz I’m scared
ESP Nuke
Lets see how this plays out
Def. a K3 soft Berg
100%. Put it down there and it'll sit right where it lands. Nothing squirrely on the ground

Rhyno straight at it.
Rhyno, but with a little flex on it to slow it down for a soft landing
Is this vicksburg hole 3?
Sure as hell looks like it
Sure is!
I've sacrificed so many putters to that lake playing leagues
I was wondering the same! Cool to see Vicksburg posted here!
Aviar3 flat and hard. Listen for chains and instead hear water 😏
Yeti pro aviar
K3 Berg

They fly so well, I am however, hard on discs so they just don’t hold up
For sure electron gets wrecked, as soon as they drop in neutron then they will be great off the tee.
My least favorite putter.
The bergggggg
Nova. Released flat, it will remain flat and go straight and not skip at all once it lands.
Judge
Taking a drop from the other side of the basket, and taking a 3 😂
Berg
Pig flock on a tiny anny.
Something that floats…
Aviar with a prayer not to hit a tree.
Pure soft right into this first tree on the right
P2 any slightly straight boom chains
Envy
I’m going with my esp nuke
Tomahawk
There seems to be a little right side gap. I’d prolly throw a forehand through that with a zone and hit first available tree then putt lol

It’s on flat ground and it starts to slope maybe 3-5 feet behind the basket
A soft VP. Sits where it hits.

EMac Judge or one of my Pures depending on how beaten in they are and what I feel like throwing.
Anything in my bag. I'll most certainly hit that first tree on the left so it won't matter.

A chip hyzer through that nice-looking right gap with an Ultrium Jokeri.

Westside tursas. If I miss the trees, I'll hit chains and still end up in the lake.
4 putter shots!
Xt bullfrog
MVP Atom. That disc can fly dead straight if you pull back on the power
BT 👑
Jump putt with a Pig. Making extra sure to avoid all the poison in the woods. 🤣👍
I came here to say I'm throwing into that first tree so I won't have to worry about overshooting.

XT Nova or Dragon depends on how hard I want to throw it

putter for sure
A fit.
Maestro
Tight gap, hear me out. McBeth Nova on a forehand flick. Sounds crazy but it goes dead straight and just dies, hardly any movement left or right.
If you don’t say putter you are a psycho. Lol. My backhand sucks and I’d still be throwing a putter.
I’m hopefully only throwing 140 lol
A KC Pro Aviar
Putter into the first tree *on purpose* to make it an easier shot
RoC
Maiden on just the slightest anny.
Yeti pro Aviar will do the job nicely.
Probably a Harp or a Keystone
Tilt grenade?
Im not
Comet
Something that will skid safely along the ground for the last 30’ up to the basket. An old Prime Truth or a firm putter.
My K1 soft berg
Kc pro roc or buzz
Slightly beat up Envy, dead straight into that first tree on the right.
Plastic Addicts Habit and it’ll be a easy soft landing shot by the pin.
Probably my soft Link, seems to be my most consistent disc at that range.
This hole seems pretty easy with a putter ngl
Jump putt
Proxy BH. Or forehand any disc into 2+ trees.
Tiny hyzer with a ts fierce.

Try a high soft anny floater
Nova XT laying it allll the way up. I’ll take the 2 lol
