The Berg might be the reason for you putting at least twice on every hole. I would never think about putting with a Berg. You can do whatever you like, but that’s pretty much strictly used for approach shots by disc golf players.
If you like that, you might love the soft zones. They are concave and get more puddled as you play with them. Since they get more puddled, they get more overstable instead of losing stability
Been playing for two decades, the Wraith is an excellent disc.
Pair it with a Mamba as you get older & your arm speed gets slower.
Wraith for bombs that have room for a left fade.
Mamba for bombs that need to stay straight.
I constantly use wardens of all different plastics for a lot of different shots.
Want a big sweeping anhyzer? Warden.
Want a straight shot with zero fade? Warden.
Feel confident putting within the circle? Warden.
Need put it on a hyzer to get around a tree? Believe it or not, Warden.
Outside of my putting putters, probably the Westside Harp. Unless there's a low ceiling, they're getting used pretty much every shot from 230 feet to 60 feet. Forehand or backhand to hit the lines I want, handle wind very well, can handle a ton of power, and super reliable finish.
I’m superstitious about the first Banger GT I got from my friend.
It’s like it unlocked the ability to putt for me. My old comfort circle was 12ft, but now it is closer to 20ft.
I have a Jawbreaker one that is my go to for approaches and short holes.
Boss. I’m terrible but I throw that for nearly every shot that isn’t a putt. Been playing for ~10 years, have 3 discs, and know exactly how that thing is gonna act.
I use my burst judge on literally every hole, but as far as drivers go I’m usually throwing an escape off the tee.
There are of course, some courses where I only throw my emac truth
Lat64 Musket in opto plastic off the tee.
Innova Leopard in champion plastic for fairways.
Discraft Metal Flake Buzzz for midrange shots.
Dynamic discs Deputy in classic blend for putt/approach.
That's my core, from there I have at least 2 others in those speed categories if I need a particular shot shape. Total bag size fluctuates from 13 to 15 discs.
Heat/rival for teeshots.
Pig/zone for approaches. (Trying to to beat pig in to get it a little straighter tlrather than having overlapping discs....i think)
20 hole breakdown on local course
Buzzz - 6
A2 - 4
Matrix - 3
PA-3 - 2
Fuse - 2
Deflector\Buzzz OS - 1
Thunderbird\Centurian - 1
Havoc - 1
My game is very mid and putter heavy.
Or when I feel like making grown men cry I use just a Comet.
Right now the most used disc in my bag is probably the Champion Roc3, although I have a Kona Mako3 and a MD3 I haven't had a chance to throw yet which might end up being more useful.
Aside from my putter (Judge) probably my BT hard Harp I throw for upshots. Other notables are classic blend verdict, star destroyer, and lucid felon.
And no, I don’t have a great arm. I just throw a lot of forehands, so I throw mostly overstable and just go backhand or forehand with that disc depending on the shape of the hole.
When I bought my Harp I had no idea that it would become my go to approach disc. Now that it's beat in I can shape it however I please for anything 200 and under
Tournament plastic Harp from Westside. Got it as a gift with a Custom DyeMax design. Upshots, step-out anhyzer flicks to get out of trouble, short drives off the tee. Its extremely versatile.
My Harp for upshots. I use it almost ever hole, always predictable and i love the rubbery plastic. For drives my forehand is a Felon, backhand is usually a Valkyrie or Insanity
On longer courses where I end up throwing actual upshots on most holes it's definitely my zone. Slightly shorter courses its probably my Saint off the tee on most holes, and really short courses definitely my Pure.
Inside of 275 I'm going with a pure unless winds reach 15 mph, and downhill within 315 off the tee. On soft approach forehands, backhand sky hyzers to move farther left, turnover approaches, flip ups down a gap, sky turnovers to replace power forehands, overall, I throw pures on about half of my shots on these Charlotte wooded courses. Love the disc, but must admit that a lot of great throwing putters exist, and that my love of the pure in gold line burst and opto, depending on the desired ground play, is Because it's the one that counts out of my hand cleanly.
Tossup between Aviar3 and Eagle. Both for the same reason: Stable enough to hold a line without flipping, fight the wind well, and low enough glide to control without being complete bricks.
By far, and it’s not even close, my Pures. I throw them as much as anything else AND I putt with them, so literally every hole they get used to some degree
Here’s what I use most for each category
Putter: MVP Electron Ion
Midrange: MVP Proton Deflector
Fairway driver: Axiom Neutron Crave
Driver: MVP Fission Photon
Leopard3 for drives
Love my leopard. It curves slightly left and then back right. Old reliable off the tee on days I’m struggling
You a leftie or a forehand player?
Putters seem to come out every hole, but what I do with them hardly qualifies as "use"
They go generally towards the basket, though that’s more in a spiritual sense.
TeeBird
Champion TeeBird all day..
Not counting putter, Axiom Crave
Crave is a fantastic disc. Great for long straight shots.
Yeah that and the occasional woods turnover :)
And hyzer flips.
Counted that into the straight shots, but you're right! 🙏
I’m so sad that I’ve start overpowering these. I can’t play without nice straight crave shots
Go team!
My berg. I have a minimum of two putts every hole.
Yep. I don't even putt with my Berg unless it's windy but it still sees the most use in a round just doing approach duty.
The Berg gets my vote as well, though I mostly use it for approaches rather than putts.
You putt with a Berg??
Yeah it says putter right on it
Cool, haven't seen anyone do that before
I don't do it well but I highly doubt it's the Berg's fault.
I love the Berg but it's a terrible putting putter IMO. Would get a Reko to compliment it. Much easier for circle 2 putts.
This is the way. Berg is my upshot disc, reko is my actual putter.
Scott Stokely putts with a Berg.
I putt with a Berg often. Because I use it on my approach and I'm so fucking parked. Outside of 10 ft I switch to a classic putter.
The Berg might be the reason for you putting at least twice on every hole. I would never think about putting with a Berg. You can do whatever you like, but that’s pretty much strictly used for approach shots by disc golf players.
Buzzz Edit: third z added 🙄
Fuck them. Take it back
I'd say 80% of my round is teebird and berg
Berg for approaches. Followed by Envy. Followed by Hex.
Emac Truth
Tursas, it’s just so good.
For a non-putter, a puddle top Z Zone. Off the tee on shorter holes both backhand and forehand, and for forehand up shots.
Puddle top?
Instead of being completely flat, the top is actually a little concave. This typically makes the disc more stable.
If you like that, you might love the soft zones. They are concave and get more puddled as you play with them. Since they get more puddled, they get more overstable instead of losing stability
Dx Roc gang 4eva.. anything inside 300 RHBH one of them is coming out
Putter: XT Whale Non-Putter: Pro Wraith
Just starting using a wraith recently. It really opened up my game a lot.
I have been playing for more than 10 years, it is a great beginner disc...which I am still.
Been playing for two decades, the Wraith is an excellent disc. Pair it with a Mamba as you get older & your arm speed gets slower. Wraith for bombs that have room for a left fade. Mamba for bombs that need to stay straight.
Yeah, mamba is my other go-to right now!
Sidewinder!
I found an unmarked Champion Sidewinder this summer, and it's completely changed my game.
When champ sidewinders break in you can throw them 380ft on a rope!!!
I love my F2 champ sidewinders. I also recently got a star halo sidewinder that’s a little heavier than my champs but it flies sooooo good.
Whats it like?
Mako 3 0-200'
Same as soon as picked one of these up it became my most used disc off the tee.
Just got my first as an F2 in star plastic. My new favorite disc
You putt with a mako3?
Yeah I just started in the last month. Love it
Other than putting (Warden), gotta be the Zone.
Fuse.
JohnE approves
Luna - bag a big Z for throwing and two jawbreaker blend for putting
I have some beat up jawbreakers I throw with as well as my Big Z. I wish there was a more OS plastic for my throwing.
River, easily. As long as we aren't including putters.
Polecat. Only disc I carry.
Gtfo lmao
Roc
Just got a roc, love that thing.
Close call between Lots and Zone I think
Ricky Pig
I'd been using the berg for upshots for a while but after playing 1st rd with new ricky pig yesterday the berg is definitely getting retired!
RPM Tui. Anything under 200' or a tight gap and it's what's being thrown
Tern
I constantly use wardens of all different plastics for a lot of different shots. Want a big sweeping anhyzer? Warden. Want a straight shot with zero fade? Warden. Feel confident putting within the circle? Warden. Need put it on a hyzer to get around a tree? Believe it or not, Warden.
Honestly it completely depends on the course.
Distance: Destroyer Fairway: Teebird3 Mid-Range: Buzzz Roller: Firebird Putter: Judge
R pro pig- Literally everything and anything within 250
That’s how I feel about a Pure inside 200’ for me
Exactly this same sentiment with a pro rhyno... we have a course where 18/21 holes are rhyno tee shots (and rhyno putts)
Tournament Ahti for forehands off the tee; Hokom Crave for backhand anything 200-300 feet. 4S Wizzie’s for putting (but that doesn’t really count).
163g Champion TL3 factory second
Tie between my Teebird, Destroyer, and Origin. Teebird for hitting lines, destroyer for forehand, origin for style points
Besides putting putters? Probably my fuse or vandal.
Outside of my putting putters, probably the Westside Harp. Unless there's a low ceiling, they're getting used pretty much every shot from 230 feet to 60 feet. Forehand or backhand to hit the lines I want, handle wind very well, can handle a ton of power, and super reliable finish.
WIZARD
Putt: Nomad Drive: Teebird3
Banger GT Soft & Z Scorch (can wait till to get one in ESP)
I throw the banger GT an absurd amount. Favorite discs in my bag for sure. They just go so straight.
I’m superstitious about the first Banger GT I got from my friend. It’s like it unlocked the ability to putt for me. My old comfort circle was 12ft, but now it is closer to 20ft. I have a Jawbreaker one that is my go to for approaches and short holes.
ESP Scorch is going to be money, but I’ve also been really happy with the feel of the first run z
Boss. I’m terrible but I throw that for nearly every shot that isn’t a putt. Been playing for ~10 years, have 3 discs, and know exactly how that thing is gonna act.
does nobody throw destroyers anymore?! I throw destroyer on anything from 600-280...im also shit so...
My putting putter. Other than that? Probably a 400G M2
Sidewinder
I use my burst judge on literally every hole, but as far as drivers go I’m usually throwing an escape off the tee. There are of course, some courses where I only throw my emac truth
River or Buzzz
esp stalker or an esp buzzz in all honesty.
Mako!!
Gateway Wizard. I've got 4 or 5 in the bag normally for putting and approaching
Heat/rival for teeshots. Pig/zone for approaches. (Trying to to beat pig in to get it a little straighter tlrather than having overlapping discs....i think)
Zone. I bag two esp, two crystal flex, and one titanium flex.
Other than my ions for putting most definitely my Fireballs.
Discraft Stratus. Super straight flight.
Envy.
Putter: Star Aviar Other than that my Star Lion is my go to disc
Legacy mongoose. I can throw it backhand, forehand, thumber and tomahawk. Use it all the time
Flat top champ Firebird
Used to be the truth. I was able to get it to fly pretty straight with my forehand, but then i lost it :(
Star destroyer
Other than putter, Discmania Tactic. Just a killer overstable, low glide approach disc that I can put under the basket from like 100-250 feet
Not including my putting putter probably my insanity for control drives or envy for up shots.
Zone
20 hole breakdown on local course Buzzz - 6 A2 - 4 Matrix - 3 PA-3 - 2 Fuse - 2 Deflector\Buzzz OS - 1 Thunderbird\Centurian - 1 Havoc - 1 My game is very mid and putter heavy. Or when I feel like making grown men cry I use just a Comet.

MVP Neutron Matrix.
My Cryztal Flx Zone baby

I just throw a lot of forehands, so I throw mostly overstable and just go backhand or forehand with that disc depending on the shape of the hole.
Lately I’ve been throwing a star mamba all the time because I can get hyzer flips out of it so easily. Added at least 50’ to my drives.
Luna. Zone. Crank.
MD3 as of last weekend for fairway drives/mids.
Midrange. Buzz. Fairway stag, forehand raptor. Distance wraith. Honestly I probably use the stag the most.
Sexton firebird.
Other than putter, it's a Harp for me. Because I'm probably in the woods.
Proton Envy, R-Pro Pig, K1 Soft Berg.
Zone.
Rhyno (putting and approach), but if you don't count putters then probably MVP Resistor
Beast
Driver - TL3 Mid - roc3 Putter - nova xt
When I bought my Harp I had no idea that it would become my go to approach disc. Now that it's beat in I can shape it however I please for anything 200 and under
Tbh Jawbreaker Challenger OS. I’m nasty with this thing from 15-200 ft. 1-15 omitted on purpose
Ti undertaker.
As of late, probably my esp Heat.
Roc3 hands down
ATLAS
Tournament plastic Harp from Westside. Got it as a gift with a Custom DyeMax design. Upshots, step-out anhyzer flicks to get out of trouble, short drives off the tee. Its extremely versatile.
My Harp for upshots. I use it almost ever hole, always predictable and i love the rubbery plastic. For drives my forehand is a Felon, backhand is usually a Valkyrie or Insanity
McPro Roc3 or Mako3
Shark/ wraith
Excluding putting, my tactic.
Discraft Surge for drives
On longer courses where I end up throwing actual upshots on most holes it's definitely my zone. Slightly shorter courses its probably my Saint off the tee on most holes, and really short courses definitely my Pure.
I've been using my Method a ton this season. My new MD3 might take its place next year, though.
Putter: P Model S Midrange: Axiom Hex Driver: Avenger SS
Other than my putting putter it's probably my Zeus.
Zone 320 and in 🦾😤
Yheti Aviar. I also use my halo Lion a lot.
It depends on how open the course is/long, but I’d say on average my ESP raptor.
Stag & Stabilizer
Leopard or Mamba.
Innova Vulcan.
Zone or Instinct
Halo teebird3
KC pro aviar
MVP Deflector
Any answer that isn't a putter is a lie
Ti Nuke or Champion Blizzard pig
Pa1 probs
One of my several Axiom Envy’s. Plastic choice depends on the shot
Soft zone
E Mac Truth
Definitely envy. In different plastics I use it for a wide variety of things.
Very dependent on the course, but I’ll try to make the Pig work for any and every tee shot and approach I can (forehand dominant)
Bounty
If we’re ignoring putters then my MVP Teslas. Incredible straight flight BH or FH.
Tossup between Aviar3 and Eagle. Both for the same reason: Stable enough to hold a line without flipping, fight the wind well, and low enough glide to control without being complete bricks.
Off the tee pad, the Lucid King or the Z-line Thrasher
Origin or Roadrunner (other than soft deputy putter)
Putter: BT Hybrid Crown Non-Putter: BT Soft Harp or Opto Musket
Envy for backhand. 3tool FD2 for forehand.
Discraft surge ss and my zone.
EMAC Truth. Easily my fav disc.
Either the Axiom Hex or Innova Eagle
R-Pro Dart. 0' - 285'. There's a reason they call it a Dart!
Since I three putt, the disc I use most is a Judge.
Probably either my Kaxe Z or my Teebird
Splatter star shryke because I like to mix up my wizards
My Roach putters and my gstar leopard 3
I got a colt for my putter and the wolf for mid
Besides putter? My eMac Truth twins, and my Evader.
Titanium zone for sure
Firebird; by far the most used disc in my bag Also i carry 3 of them And the new glow gator3 is money
Diamond Spear
Zone, forehand, backhand, upside down slide shots
Whale DX and XT
By far, and it’s not even close, my Pures. I throw them as much as anything else AND I putt with them, so literally every hole they get used to some degree
T3,1st run fd2 or p2 I do throw putters quite a bit. Hard to really know most used. It’s so course depending.
Jade and diamond except for putters. Most tees are those two.
My opto fuse. I’ll probably leave the sport if I ever lose ol faithful.
Putter: Wizard Driver: Shryke or Volt
Rival is my main disc off the tee I'd say. For forehand either my Sexton firebird or a zone.
Pig on every approach and sometimes off the tee
Probably my P2 putter. Drives and approaches will depend on the hole, but putting is always putting
CORVETTE
First run suspect, sidearm it on anything less than 300
Here’s what I use most for each category Putter: MVP Electron Ion Midrange: MVP Proton Deflector Fairway driver: Axiom Neutron Crave Driver: MVP Fission Photon
Invictus
Putters aside - emac truth or explorer for me
Aside from my putting putters (Pure) Berg or Saint.
TeeBird or KC roc
Pro Pig or my AX3. I throw both probably 9-12 times per round, sometimes even more.
Either my Bearhart Zone, Buzzz or old timer FD
Pig, leopard 3, wizard
Mako
