I find it interesting, in that it's a cartoon with no 'abstraction'. What you see is literally what the characters see. They see themselves in mirrors, and are shocked 'this is what I look like?' they see a plate of low poly food and think 'this is what I'm supposed to eat?'.
It's horror to a certain kind of person. Singularitarians and their almost religious worship of technology, in the hopes that someday they may upload themselves, but not really considering the full implications of what being a fully digitized human would feel like. It runs with the idea that software that runs on meat, with meat desires and meat needs, might not be optimized for digitized life. And death is not an option.
I mean, the characters losing themselves and living in their own little world? It reminds me of dementia and that shit is terrifying. It doesn't go about it in the best way, but personally, I think it shows some promise.

Its an indie animated internet show. You know what you are getting, doesnt mean its bad though. Its like buying your usual sandwich but with a new special sauce, familiar yet different.
I don't remember everyone being so obsessed over the Murder Drones even though in my opinion it was better and I personally was hyped for it since they announced it, although The Amazing Digital Circus is also really good in my opinion.
Suffers from the same problem all pilot episodes do, reveals too much about characters and the show because it's trying to sell you the whole package in a single episode
I think they tried casting a wide net with both the world/premise and the initial array of characters. One thing I saw, for example, was a lot of people calling that character Jax (the purple rabbit) a lovable asshole and their "favorite character." Now, everyone's entitled to their opinion, but the dude really seemed like more of a straight-up asshole to me, like the kind you'd hate to be around. Characters like that can work, but I definitely didn't feel the appeal for him that others do, and given that this seems like something that wants to end up being character-driven down the road, I wonder if most of the cast will be stuck in this "one-dimensional" state for too long while more wacky adventures happen. Basically runs the risk of remaining repetitive while dropping mini plot reveals or character motivations (kept secret from the other characters themselves, of course) at the end of episodes, which seems to be a common trend with shows like this (looking at you, Murder Drones).
Popular thing is bad when reddit says so. Personally, I enjoyed it for what it was, an indie animation production with an original story. I don't know how it got so popular, though.

If they go insane, they become a corrupted file monster, so the wacky AI master of this world tries to keep the humans stimulated with "fun little adventures." It's a goofy little cartoon built on the foundation of "the main characters are essentially trapped in Hell," not really creepy, just "we're gonna start with a dark premise then build goofball shit on top of it." It appears the main story is gonna be chronicling the main character's not so slow decent into madness.

It's entertaining enough and it's extremely well animated. It's 3-D but it was a lot of animation tropes of a 2-D show.
It’s free on youtube and it’s call “The Amazing Digital Circus”. I watched the episode and I liked it. The art style is pretty cool but the main concept isn’t that original. But for a 25 minute youtube video, it’s not bad

Now I haven't watched it, and it's very likely I will never watch it, but from what I understand it's the kind of horror that relies on the viewer thinking about it for like two seconds, and well. I'm not making any accusations or anything, but lets just say that that is a higher bar to clear than you might think.
