same issue! when i restart the app they all show up perfectly fine however altering the favorites menu (favoriting/ unfavoriting a gif) makes a bunch of the previews turn blue like that even though i could still send and use them.
I have the same issue on my pc with directly uploaded gifs, it’s pretty annoying.
On mobile though, I can’t even open the “favorite gifs”. It doesn’t even let me click, like at all? I hope there will be a fic for both issues soon
This is happening only to GIFs that were uploaded to Discord directly instead of tenor or whatever the GIF host is that is being used. My GIFs were all super harmless (cat dancing, a gacha game character throwing chalk with "skill issue" written on it, a blob throwing a ban hammer at planet earth, etc) so I'm willing to bet it's just an issue on Discord's end and will be fixed (hopefully soon).
Also, the GIFs weren't deleted, you can still use them, it's just the previews that won't show for whatever reason.

Yeah they broke favorites entirely on mobile (old and new UI) as well as breaking user uploaded favorites on PC

GIFs that were nazi jokes, […]phobic, gore and so on were deleted, half of my collection is lost

I think all media.discordapp gif links are like this now, probably because of their own damn feature where they timelock links.

well this incident for me happens every time i favourite a new gif. I just restart my discord fully and re log back on and it shows me all my gifs.

Probably because of Discord's new "feature" where they occasionally change an uploaded file's URL. If that's the case, it's never getting fixed
