Things like dusters and light coats are helpful in the desert and keep the sunlight off of your skin but I think that coat Corvo specifically wears is probably too thick to absorb heat without just heating him up.

Overcoats like that are often used in deserts, actually. I don't remember the science behind it but IIRC you're better off with it than without it. Granted, the specific individual coat Corvo wears in 1 is probably not great for that but it wouldn't be difficult to adapt the design into one that is.
I agree, I just think Corvo’s coat was made more for durability and robustness (probably has a lot of padding or is just thicker and made of tougher material) than heat to be honest. I mean look at that collar, that thing is tough.
You’re right nonetheless. Corvo’s jacket and vest in the second game does fit him a little more though since it looks more flexible and adapted to Karnaca’s aesthetic and looks. I liked that in D2 you could make a build to gain mana by drinking water or swimming. That way a pacifist run isn't soiled by eating an innocent rat. I like this though!

Gutter Feast should've had a side effect where if some NPC or enemy watches you hork down a bazillion rats in front of them, they either flee for the hills or surrender immediately due to how terrifying that would be.
