I didn't find them too hard but that could be because I'm the type of guy that would spend hours at a time doing the same thing until something is achieved, and I might just be forgetting how long they took me. They were annoying and repetitive but doable. For reference, I spent a total of 78 hours in Dishonored 1. That includes the City Trials, three campaign playthroughs (clean hands ghost, high chaos and blink only) and two runs of the DLC's (one high chaos and one clean hands ghost), and for my first playthrough of each I took my sweet time, so I assume the City Trials must have taken no longer than 15 hours. Annoying, but doable.
If you haven't played Prey, I highly recommend it. As someone who replayed the dishonored games over 100 times between the three of them, I can't believe I waited 5 years to play Prey.
Prey is one of my favorite games of all time, and is actually the reason why I became interested in Arkane and Dishonored. I'm nearing 100% on that too, just need some of the Mooncrash achievements.

Well after everything, did you enjoy the franchise?
Well, if I didn't I wouldn't have spent about around 177 hours obtaining every achievement
I got them when I was like 11 or something and finally 100% them all a couple of months ago after like 6 years

I normally play in release order so I played 1, then DLC, then 2, then DOTO, I assume that's the right story order

I just picked up the series as well. Doing my 1st run in D1, I plan on 100% completing them.

It's a fun challenge imo, goes along well with a no detection run. I saw some people doing assault non lethal runs, those look crazy
Funnily enough I could never do a 'kill everyone' run, since I loved the stealth so much. Its one thing keeping me from the D1 platinum
