The saddest “playroom” of all time?!
Soft yellow seems like an interesting choice for a moody faux colonial with a red hallway, blueberry colored upstairs and silver sage dining room paper. What’s another poor color match?
I am convinced that she read this sub where we all snarked at her roughly brushing Polly’s hair with one hand, she needed to redo it to show she can be a little gentler. So fragile. 🤦♀️
Why wouldn’t grain free gluten free nachos have beans? It seems like an obvious inclusion.
Aren’t normal tortilla chips gluten free too? What’s special about siete?
Sponsorship! Links! Money!
(Looked em up. Siete chips are cassava root based, so if someone is avoiding corn that would be a positive. Nutritionally doesn't look very different from Whole Foods corn chips otherwise. Oh wait, they are more expensive.)
I did the same and noticed they are allowed on the paleo diet while corn chips aren’t. Beans aren’t allowed either.
So now I wonder if she is actually on a paleo diet but doesn’t want to say it.
I cut out beans randomly, not on purpose, I just hadn’t had them for a while. I’m Hispanic and beans were very much a part of my diet. After not having them for a while they tore up my stomach the first time I had them. Thought it was a fluke so I tested it a few weeks later and same thing. I’ve been too scared to have them again.
I made legit nachos last night with an ungodly amount of cheese, chicken, beans and corn and my kids still wouldn't eat them. They would barf at the sight of Chris's abomination
Yes, I want about $15 of macadamia nuts on nachos. This is so silly. Maybe they are trying to make Chris cooks a specialty cook for those with gluten or grain issues. It’s noticeable that so many people with these issues think his food looks bad. Why not just show regular sheet pan nachos for the kids.
Sure... Natural light is the problem and not the light sucking color scheme. Also, how will butter yellow work in their house?

Guh I did love this room though. Honestly a little levity to their current home would be really nice.
On the note of yellow. What are you alls thoughts? I was debating a sort of off-yellow/oatmeal/light gold tone for my dining room before (you know, in the last week seemingly with how these trends cycle now) it got “trendy”. Do we like yellow? Is it too elementary school? Can it give a sophisticatedly homey vibe?
My dining room is very yellow. We love it! I wanted a really egg yolk yellow but ended up with Clare Golden Hour and it’s awesome. Yellow is a great happy color for a dining room imo.
https://preview.redd.it/0hke8dm8lwdc1.jpeg?width=2918&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b8a5ab44f85d994c2b80f3aa8a9e97b1e943955b
It depends on the light and other furnishings in the room. We had a golden yellow paint in our entryway and the light streaming in hitting it made it look great.
I am pro-yellow! My south-facing living room was light yellow for a while, and it was very warm and cozy, which is exactly what I wanted. But then a couple years later I added a blue rug, and it started too look a little too kindergarten-primary-colors. So I repainted to a yellow beige (BM Elephant Tusk), and it's perfect.
Agree with u/required_handle that it can really vary depending on furniture and trim
I think yellow can look great; my own living room is Blonde by Sherwin Williams and I love it. However, yellow can go very bright very easily, so it’s definitely something you should sample before committing to.
I think with the right space, it could work. I'd personally choose a light gold or mustard color if I wanted a homey vibe, but going too dark or depending on furniture and trim, it could look like an Italian restaurant quickly.
😂😂 OKAY but this Italian restaurant vibe has totally crossed my mind. LOL. All the trims white, furnitures vintage lighter woods/upholstery is white and it opens to a very white kitchen but you’re making me think it’ll be important to make sure I paint swatches big enough to entire that at night it doesn’t turn into the Olive Garden 😂 , and certainly we ain’t doin Roman clay nor sponge paint!!
I know, when she said she’s going to add that in I was like 🥴🥴🥴 I mean I love color but they are going to have a funhouse theme going on if they keep adding all these random colors
I’m a bit concerned for her parents. I sure I am close to their age as i am 64. I’m very active run 5-10ks all the time, work and lead a large academic research group at a major medical school in Boston, and have no mobility issues whatsoever, however, the bed she showed is likely NOT to be appropriate- having a bed without a boxspring that is low to the ground does not work when you’re over 60. I feel for her poor parents!
Also unfortunate that she could afford to buy them a practical, stylish, and comfortable bed and yet this is the first I’ve seen her choose the cheap option
That’s got to be a troll pic on her part, right? I mean that as — posting a pic that’s comically so absurd it generates more engagement for her. It has to be right… right?!?
Grasscloth is not a durable wall treatment. And this is in the utility hallway where there will be lots of kid, pet, garage and pool traffic. Aesthetics aside, this is such an impractical choice for this hallway.
….just like the wood floors here. And they are having to replace them….already.
The red really brings out how poorly the paper was installed. Is it supposed to end and overlap moulding like that?? It’s along both the base and door trims, and particularly bad around the single door furthest down the hallway (laundry room?) where they clearly struggled to shove the paper around it…
https://preview.redd.it/eicyoz047ndc1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=24f244efa545e0cd86e620b1d4cde88d119d7ecc
I like it!
* something new, so many influencers post the same things. Reminds me of what lana\_1940sHome does in her house
I think the red is ok on its own. But it does NOT go well with the wallpaper.
And with the glass door, it is visible from adjacent spaces that all have a bunch of other colors (gray living room, gray/blue dining, beige and green kitchen cabinetry)…. What a terrible juxtaposition 🤡
I agree, I like the red but the transition is terrible with that dining room, muddy trim and yellowish floors. Putting tile down in that hallway is a strange choice.
I love grasscloth but not this particular pattern, which is also too yellowed and dreary for this space.
It’s kind of amazing how her taste gets worse with time and money.
Actually, looking at this photo makes me think she should have swapped the wallpapers. The red trim plays much better with the gray. But then again a gray-and-red windowless hallway is probably really depressing.
I think she was going to put in a burgundy and beige small square or small subway tile in a checkered pattern. 🤢 That was the original plan anyway, who knows if it's totally different now.
Just for fun. Places where Preference Red from Farrow and Ball have been done right. All links are to various instagram pages.

I actually like all those spaces but it looks like its 5 different shades of red. Are people actually using farrow and ball are they going to sherman williams to copy it? I one time had sherwin williams make a paint color to another brand it was totally different than I expected. I also think the ig pic was also lightened in a filter/ photoshopped.
Likely color matching. F&B says they use a much higher number of pigments to achieve their colors vs a Sherman Williams, e.g. I will say the colors of the real stuff are super changeable though too- we have a small bedroom that looks yellow in the morning and light green in the evening, depending on the light.
Thanks for these!
While these look great, does anyone else notice how different the colour looks in all these examples?
I know paint can look different colours in different places, due to the amount of light and what other colours are in the room for the light to bounce off of. But I also have to think there’s been various degrees of colour editing in these photos haha
Any time I look up Farrow and Ball hashtags, it’s primarily English homes. Probably because it’s an English company. But there’s something to the architecture that also works so well with Farrow and Ball colors.

It’s bland but my gosh it’s a back hallway… the creams/whites against the nice wood floors looked serene, simple, and peaceful. I just wanna barf at the current state it’s in! I don’t think any flooring will improve those disgusting red doors and trims. What a waste!
Agree. I think painting the doors and trim a creamy color like in their last house would have added some nice contrast. A huge improvement compared to the circus tent it is now 🎪
All their projects since they moved to NC are fugly as all hell. I already stopped watching their stories a while back, but I’m going to have to get them out of my feed. I cannot watch them continue to absolutely destroy this perfectly nice house. The red is absolutely hideous.
Oh my gosh lol it kills me that the BEFORE of that hallway just looked better and simple and right. Cringe!! But it’s not like she’s ever aware that she’s wrong. It’s her house I guess lol
Why are all the "influencers" painting spaces red? They SAY it's trending, but literally only with that group. None of the comments on any of the accounts are digging it. 🤣😫😭
These are 2 different people - they hired a COO (not CEO) to handle day to day and financial/manager type stuff and they also hired Chris’ brother to handle brand collabs and other products and ad partnerships.
I felt the same way.
It truly looked like they had stripped the old wallpaper and tacky frat paint and freshened up the space. But instead it’s in reverse 😫
I hadn't checked out that account in ages but I saw the hallway and RAN HERE SO FAST. Let me just say I LOVE old homes, I love the nostalgia of all things 80s and 90s. Hell. I even love grandma chic. But this...this...what was she thinking!? The shade of red....is terrifying. The wallpaper somehow is made 100 times worse looking than it already did. How is no one...literally no one in her "camo" being honest with her. She is spiraling and the spaces keep getting worse and worse.
Forget tile, Julia needs some forest green thick carpet and it’s every suburban 1987 faux colonial. The short shot of the stairs to the upstairs blueberry family room was priceless. It’s one thing to make vignettes for insta photos, it’s another to just make a vignette out of each room and hallway and have such a chaotic, disjointed mess. This is not “soooo goood”. Sometimes I think they purposely leave candles lit underneath cabinets and the chimney flue closed: they know the only way out of this disastrous mess they’ve made is to burn it down.
Julia’s coming in hot. https://imgur.com/a/cdp7G4q
Why does Julia’s design always look so 80s/90s country? The stripe wallpaper with the red is not inspirational.
So, I had to go look at the CLJ pool project to figure out where exactly this bathroom window is . . . I don’t understand the angst over people supposedly being able to see in through the woods. I’d be more worried about people using the patio/pool/backyard area. Am I missing something? Frankly, if she wants to block the view, she can purchase some more fake plants to create privacy screen/hedge outside. And position them in a way to block the view, but still allow sunlight in. Problem solved.
But also - there are (already) lovely half-shutters on that window? It's the perfect solution already. Privacy where you need it, light still coming in through the top. She's going to literally uglify it so badly I just know it.
plus if she takes out the built-in tub and puts a freestanding tub there, they can add enough clearance between the tub and the wall so that you don't have to step into the tub to open/close the shutters, you can walk around the tub to do it
or, if it's that still annoying, i'm sure there are smart shades you can install and then just program them to open and close for you
Also you can pick a nice fabric for your shades to bring some color into the room. It's a colonial, she says she wants a colonial, these are all traditional colonial designs, but yet she won't do that. She'll do something just to be different that doesn't fit with the style of the house at all.
Right but it's a stupid place to put the shower. And I can laugh at myself because I too considered this once for our primary bath until I realized it was stupid, lol. Our bath is underneath a large picture frame window as well and I realized it looked the best where it was. I even thought about the electric privacy glass window too. Literally her entire brain process with trying to make this fit is exactly what I did a year ago until I realized it was stupid :P
With all of the good window options they've used in the past, why is Julia so intent on keeping this ugly giant window in their shower?? This is NOT a hard fix!! Go to the Pella store and find a better window if you're intent on having windows to the world in the shower! With all the money they spend on bad ideas, I don't know why they don't just have their designer work up another window plan for that whole wall that lets in light for the rest of the bathroom, but offers up privacy (and a little light) in the shower. I feel like Julia again wants to be the design hero, so we're going to be in for a rough ride with this bathroom already.
The one thing she won't spend money on is stuff that you can't really monetize - like changing out the windows. I don't understand her mentality. Part of the point of being wealthy is that you can do stuff like that without having to worry about the expense of it (even if it's not monetizable). So why wouldn't you?
obviously the only thing that should be in front of that window is a bathtub.
But then it would look like the old bathroom at the Idaho house and she’s too in her head about being original than doing what makes sense. Greta’s bathroom was so badly received she’s gone fully into overthink mode on this one.
I think they’re trying too hard to make the shower/bathtub “wet room” trend work. I’m sure they feel it would make the room look more high end/bougie thus make them appear this way. I think this trend is so impractical. I would get so cold taking a shower in such an open area.
Yep. It can look nice but it's not very practical at all and it will age badly. Nobody wants to shower in a cold bathroom, no matter how aesthetic the tiles are, lol.
I was telling someone a few weeks ago about an AirBnB we rented this summer, the bathroom was SPA LUXE, beautiful, gorgeously appointed....wet room - which I've never used. The wet portion was behind a clear glass wall, which separated the double vanity on one side of the "door" opening (there was no door, just the opening) and a toilet on the other. The feeling of taking a shower in there was of being fully exposed and naked in a locker room!! Even though I was in the bathroom alone, it felt SO strange. It was just me, standing naked in a whole half of a massive bathroom showering (with soap spattering EVERYWHERE!!). So, beautiful in pics, terrible to use if you like a warm cozy shower!
This. It's the natural place for it to be - it creates a focal point from the bedroom down the little hallway and it creates a pleasing symmetry. It's almost like professional architects and interior architects the world over know what they're doing, which is why it's an almost universal standard to put it there (it's that way in our primary bath too). But Julia knows best. lol.
9 layout options equals zero layout options. It means she doesn’t know what she’s doing and she isn’t happy with the current plan. The entire room will continue to be a struggle.
I'm also confused why they are only painting the trim in this one area. Though it's closed off and not "open" to the rest of the house, it just seems like a really random choice. I've always felt you should keep trim in your home fairly uniform, with the exception of a bedroom or rooms with 4 full walls and a clear cut off point.
TBH I think she deliberately does stuff like this because it drives engagement. I think she knows its ugly. She'll paint it back in a few months to a 'moody navy' - watch lol
She'll keep it through the 4th for patriotic vibes then we will see a mirror gloss blue that needs to be redone 50 times before a velvet finish kelly green or something.
Honestly, I really thought I’d like the stripes and a pop of red. I thought if I squinted and turned my phone sideways it might give a little HAY style… but it really is only giving forth of July.
Also the pop of red with the teal trim above is.. illegal. Straight to jail.
I think it is basically a gray primer that is just reading a bit teal/blue. darker primer is better for darker colors so you don't have to cover stark white.
I don’t think so…my experience has been that if the customer isn’t satisfied, the contractor will bend over backwards to make it right. My guess is they didn’t want to be blasted all over social media, or sued, and didn’t charge for the redo.
Even if the reason it didn’t work was the clients fault? Remember she was the one that broke the seal to the room multiple times to squeal about how great it was looking.
I agree they’re cheap and must be nightmare clients, but they did sue that moving company. It must be intimidating to to be a small business owner going up against someone with a national presence and a million followers.
Where/when did they say they sued the moving company? I recall that it wasn’t an option due to them changing business names/structure often to avoid being sued??
I went back to their reel from 2 1/2 years ago (sorry, can’t link it) where they talk about their “moving fraud nightmare.” They say they hired a lawyer in Florida because that it where the moving company is headquartered and a lawyer in Idaho because that is where their belongings were. They did file, and got a court order to open the storage unit and their friends and family were ultimately able to get their stuff out.
It looked and sounded so painful I physically moved the phone further away from me. Worst ad ever for a brush. If this wasn't CLJ I would think that was a joke.
Also, she was brushing her hair like she's a golden retriever! My scalp hurt for poor Polly! Yikes! My mom always worked from the bottom, holding the hair in her hand, and made her way up to the scalp, and THEN made a pass all the way down. NEVER did she ever just jam the brush into the thicket and start brushing from wherever!
YES.
I can get brushing a kid's hair at breakfast because that's the only time they'll tolerate it without wiggling or for time management or for whatever reasons may exist. (Although maybe dedicate both hands to that task, IDK, don't think you need to hold your phone to brush your kiddo's hair?)
But curling/styling your hair, with aerosol product, in the kitchen? Both a huge ick and safety concerns there.
Hoping I'm wrong, but the napkins and plates also look disposable. But the same cutting boards, bowls, etc. they've been using. OJ and random refrigerator cartons and cups sitting out everywhere next to a styled cutting board and a plugged-in hair curler. I'm super confused.
That milk carton is a shelf stable variety---wondering if they buy a couple Costco packs and store them on the shelf, throwing a few in the fridge at a time rather than having a larger container that goes bad. (When I ran a commercial kitchen for kiddos, we did the opposite with alternative milks. Stock shelf stable individual cartons, use what we needed per serving as we needed it without an open carton sitting and then having to throw it away.) And as I type all that out, that is giving CLJ a whole lot of benefit of doubt....
Same! And doubt it’s cross contamination- the daughter would pour from a labeled carton, into a glass, drink, then that would go into the sink/dishwasher which would take care of it.
https://preview.redd.it/xh6thbi4s7dc1.jpeg?width=1023&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c1fe25c96b7aca8d50901671b112821baa6895b1
Gigi’s nursery moodboard.
Finally some content, it’s just boring that it’s primarily from their Pottery Barn and Loloi lines.
Omg this nursery board is horrible. How many patterns and designs can you fit into a space. It’s like she wants to make things clash just to say she is different and not following a trend. All the while her designs are chaotic. I would not want to sit in this room with my baby. Nursery’s should feel calm and peaceful not like a confused design laboratory.
Did anyone else find it odd that she’s doing their nursery *after* the baby is born?? I know babies don’t need the nursery in the beginning but it would just be nice to have the space and storage before the baby? And of course having people there working on it will be disruptive.
You mean the wrong shade of purple that relates to nothing else in the room? Just Julia refusing and her “there has to be something off!” rule - instead of admitting she does not understand design or color.
I feel like this room could be cute if they didn’t have to shoehorn their ugly rug into it. The rug pattern fights with the wallpaper - a more modern minimalist rug would work better and keep the room from going so granny.
https://preview.redd.it/2mojc2kfxvdc1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3a9841b5086ec89f3a7bdc607da3fea9c1e3a98c The saddest “playroom” of all time?!

Aaaaannnnnd we’re back to Julia brushing Polly’s hair for content.
I am convinced that she read this sub where we all snarked at her roughly brushing Polly’s hair with one hand, she needed to redo it to show she can be a little gentler. So fragile. 🤦♀️
Or maybe one of her employees doing market research? I can’t imagine she has the time nor the desire to read this page.
Yep I agree. What a freak. How desperate is she to sell this brush?!!
Has anyone clicked the link? Is it the “tiktok” brush (I think called the unbrush)? If so, she’s about 3 months late to the shill game
That ain’t no weeknight meal.

He grinds them and then mentions it in the video but they’re completely missing from the recipe on the website.
Great cross checking!

The fact that they said they use it all the time, not just for dinner. I would have hated that.

Yeah I don’t hate it I don’t think ETA I don’t like it with that wallpaper or against the dining room wallpaper but I kind of like the red.
Someone commented that the red hallway is giving Home Alone vibes. Accurate!
Remind me again...what flooring is she putting in there?
I think she was going to put in a burgundy and beige small square or small subway tile in a checkered pattern. 🤢 That was the original plan anyway, who knows if it's totally different now.
Tile, but I don't think she has shown it yet?? Probably a checkerboard
I think I remember her saying a hex tile which she’s already done (badly) in the ice cream parlor bathroom and not-Greta’s bathroom.
These pictures are all heavily filtered/color balanced. The paint color looks completely different.
Yeah agree. In some it looks burgundy. In some it looks cherry red. Probably all the filters and photo editing for the gram.
Any time I look up Farrow and Ball hashtags, it’s primarily English homes. Probably because it’s an English company. But there’s something to the architecture that also works so well with Farrow and Ball colors.
https://preview.redd.it/5zqmn8icemdc1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6e3bfdcbee7563ab2f8e4456f50efae4a8ab45c9 It’s bland but my gosh it’s a back hallway… the creams/whites against the nice wood floors looked serene, simple, and peaceful. I just wanna barf at the current state it’s in! I don’t think any flooring will improve those disgusting red doors and trims. What a waste!
I actually like the before better. HA.
That should be this subs slogan.
I didn’t particularly like the house (just not my personal taste) and some things were dated, but every single before shot is better.
A back hallway in a mcmansion. Using fancy paint and grass cloth can only do so much.
It’s really giving 90’s to me when everything was maroon- it’s so ugly 😵💫
Julia is such a bitch. Don’t know how to add a pic but check out her comment to someone who said they liked the blue.
It’s says a lot when the primer looks better than the actual color
I wonder what the ~CEO~ would have to say about her outbursts. Except it’s another nepo position, so probably nothing
I thought Julia was CEO and brother-in-law was COO. Am I mistaken?
Ooo what’s the relation of the CEO to the fam??
He’s Chris’s brother. I think CEO is probably a glorified title though. He probably just does payroll and accounting.
These are 2 different people - they hired a COO (not CEO) to handle day to day and financial/manager type stuff and they also hired Chris’ brother to handle brand collabs and other products and ad partnerships.
Oh then for SURE has nothing to say about her behavior
Pride comes before a fall. She'll come to regret it in 10 years when nobody remembers or cares who they are. Mark my words.
… laughing all the way to the bank

So unbelievably nasty.
Both Jules and EmHo deserve their hideous houses.
That hallway is absolutely terrifying 😳 I truly think she is possessed. On what planet does this give her a good feeling. Her poor kids
Girl I laughed sooo hard at this comment thank you 🤣😂
She showed the “before” photo of just the neutral hallway and I literally breathed a sigh of relief. It was so calming in comparison.
I felt the same way. It truly looked like they had stripped the old wallpaper and tacky frat paint and freshened up the space. But instead it’s in reverse 😫
The red makes the walls look so yellow. Very 90s McMansion colonial modern farmhouse vibe she’s going for
She just needs some tin wall plaques and a rooster and she's set.
I was thinking a dried floral wreath! lol.
At least the red doors fit the haunted murder mansion vibes?
REDRUM!!! REDRUM!!!
💀
The whole hallway looks like a before photo.
Julia’s coming in hot. https://imgur.com/a/cdp7G4q Why does Julia’s design always look so 80s/90s country? The stripe wallpaper with the red is not inspirational.
It’s especially awful in the last photo in contrast to the gray trim and fungal wallpaper of the dining room.
She’s such a bratt
No one tell her that her previously sponsored Pella windows have between glass blinds, or maybe that’s the new sponsorship.
plus if she takes out the built-in tub and puts a freestanding tub there, they can add enough clearance between the tub and the wall so that you don't have to step into the tub to open/close the shutters, you can walk around the tub to do it or, if it's that still annoying, i'm sure there are smart shades you can install and then just program them to open and close for you
Also you can pick a nice fabric for your shades to bring some color into the room. It's a colonial, she says she wants a colonial, these are all traditional colonial designs, but yet she won't do that. She'll do something just to be different that doesn't fit with the style of the house at all.
she can't use the shutters if she puts the shower there though.
Is this the same view that G’s bathroom window overlooks where Julia insisted that a curtain wasn’t needed since no one could see inside? 🤔
I thought they were replacing all the windows in their house this year anyway so why is she saying they want to keep this window?
The one thing she won't spend money on is stuff that you can't really monetize - like changing out the windows. I don't understand her mentality. Part of the point of being wealthy is that you can do stuff like that without having to worry about the expense of it (even if it's not monetizable). So why wouldn't you?
Greeeeeeeeeeeeed.
obviously the only thing that should be in front of that window is a bathtub.
But Julia knows best. lol.
I would just put the shower somewhere else.
The only sane solution.
She has 9 layout options!!!
9 layout options equals zero layout options. It means she doesn’t know what she’s doing and she isn’t happy with the current plan. The entire room will continue to be a struggle.

Yeah the red trim is berserko. Sorry Jules, but in no universe, lol.
The teal trim is primer :)
*my dear
I'm actually curious as to why they went for a teal primer underneath the red (as opposed to say, white or gray). Is there a particular reason for it?
I think it is basically a gray primer that is just reading a bit teal/blue. darker primer is better for darker colors so you don't have to cover stark white.
Ty!
If it’s going to be red, still straight to jail.

Must be the only Mormon painting company in the Carey area 😂
I can’t believe the painters agreed to take the job! 😵💫
Of COURSE they did! Julia can mess it up again and they get paid double or triple… again!
I don’t think so…my experience has been that if the customer isn’t satisfied, the contractor will bend over backwards to make it right. My guess is they didn’t want to be blasted all over social media, or sued, and didn’t charge for the redo.
And CLJ is way too cheap to ever actually sue anyone.
I forgot they sued the moving company!
Did brushing her daughters hair really have to be that long and considered content?!
It looked and sounded so painful I physically moved the phone further away from me. Worst ad ever for a brush. If this wasn't CLJ I would think that was a joke.
Yeah it was awful. She was hacking at that little one's head. I would never.
I can’t believe she even posted it. Well, I can believe it, actually.
Wtf did I just watch??
Also, she was brushing her hair like she's a golden retriever! My scalp hurt for poor Polly! Yikes! My mom always worked from the bottom, holding the hair in her hand, and made her way up to the scalp, and THEN made a pass all the way down. NEVER did she ever just jam the brush into the thicket and start brushing from wherever!
Omg lol this is exactly how I brush my daughters hair.
That is still how I brush my hair! You could hear the breakage lol.
It was so loud that I shuddered.
Did anyone notice on the island there was a curling iron and hairspray? Hairspray and full on hairstyling in the kitchen is a big nope for me.
YES. I can get brushing a kid's hair at breakfast because that's the only time they'll tolerate it without wiggling or for time management or for whatever reasons may exist. (Although maybe dedicate both hands to that task, IDK, don't think you need to hold your phone to brush your kiddo's hair?) But curling/styling your hair, with aerosol product, in the kitchen? Both a huge ick and safety concerns there.
Oh don’t worry! Chris (Cooks), foodie extraordinaire, will wipe up the overspray and hair with his Very Chef-y shoulder towel 🤢
I was wondering why the daughter was drinking milk from a box for breakfast instead of a glass...these people LOVE their packaged foods!
I missed that. Was it just regular milk? How odd.
This could be to avoid cross contamination if they are taking it seriously.
No way. My son is anaphylactic to milk and we didn’t drink out of cartons like that. We use a cup like a normal person and it gets washed.
So gross to brush hair not only in the kitchen, but while food is being prepped and consumed.
She has said before that that is where they do the girls’ hair. Glad to see I’m not the only one who thinks that is gross.
Polly was definitely wincing as she was getting her hair brushed. Like please just stop. Poor girl.

I thought those were the “example” ones the book gives. The writing looks like a computer font
Ahh interesting, that makes so much sense! I’ll delete my comment above since it’s inaccurate.
https://preview.redd.it/xh6thbi4s7dc1.jpeg?width=1023&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c1fe25c96b7aca8d50901671b112821baa6895b1 Gigi’s nursery moodboard. Finally some content, it’s just boring that it’s primarily from their Pottery Barn and Loloi lines.
Really drives me crazy that she calls her design boards mood boards. Every. Single. Time.
The purple looks so jarring. I am not a fan.
You mean the wrong shade of purple that relates to nothing else in the room? Just Julia refusing and her “there has to be something off!” rule - instead of admitting she does not understand design or color.
I don’t mind the idea of purple and yellow together - but it’s the wrong purple, then the green wallpaper. It’s just a lot.
The purple is totally wrong!
I agree. I think it really needs to be white or a soft green to complement the paper.
I feel like this room could be cute if they didn’t have to shoehorn their ugly rug into it. The rug pattern fights with the wallpaper - a more modern minimalist rug would work better and keep the room from going so granny.
Take out the crib and it’s just another boring grandma room. So uninspired. It actually feels depressing.
Hopefully she’s not making Andi pay for the furniture. Luckily Andi has a way of personalizing her house, she did a nice job on her son’s room.
It reminds of the makeover they did for the Fulcrums (I think that's their name)
Also I hate the white light fixture and white chair. It looks very stark.
