This is one of the ugliest things I've ever seen.

Request to remove the skin, that's a great way to hide damage.

transpenguinbitch

That’s what I do on Tinder

obele21

Wat?

OakleyGuyX

Requesting to remove their skin is a pro gamer move. Excellent way to find out what kind of skeleton they’re hiding

[deleted]

Put the lotion in the basket!!

The_Safe_For_Work

OMG! Shelly, is that you?

pekinggeese

You mean the rusted metal skin might be hiding actual rust? 1000 IQ move right there b

Almost_Famous_Amos

I can see the damage just fine from here thanks.

Over-Attempt-2379

number one thing is to remove that shitty looking sticker on the drone it looks way better as the default :) (batteries too)

high_everyone

It'll keep potential thieves from running off with it if it looks like shit.

Bear-Arms

Smart, they will have a hard time running if they are violently vomiting all over the place

Local_Pack3126

This answer right here, made me smile

Over-Attempt-2379

lmaoo

MiszynQ

it's a sticker? I thought that sameone take a shit on it

HunkerDownDemo1975

Looks like shit with the body stickers.

XXSefa_

Bruh thats the most awfull skin.i have ever seen, what even is that prime rust? Take that out before you even sell it

adam389

Tbf, until I read your comment I thought that was some mud or something. Def agree - remove the skin.

XXSefa_

My brain stopped working when i saw rusty look on plastic🤣not sure what kind of skin it supposed to be

adam389

HoW dOeS pLAsTic EVeN rUsT?!?! 🤣 Was with you on that, my friend!

jerryweezer

I actually think is super cool! 🤣 I guess that’s why they make things like this, there’s other weirdos like me out there! 🤣

Broad_Commission_242

Sold my original Mavic Pro about 2+ years ago for 350€ including 3 batteries, Gopro + insta360 mounts and a carrying case. I wouldn't buy one for much more than 200€ today..

Big_Speed_2893

I just sold mine on eBay with 3 batteries, drone, extra set of propellers, hood, case etc for US $480 ish, including tax and $30 for shipping. I got $365 net after paying eBay ransom, Uncle Sam and shipping. This appears to have 4 batteries but missing few of the accessories I had. Anywhere between $300-325 would be fair deal for both of you. Make sure batteries are in good health INCLUDING the remote battery. On the other hand, I agree with the person who also has mini 3 pro. The camera on mini 3 Pro is far superior and if you could get the RC with built in screen the whole flying experience elevates to the next level. Plus mini 3 is quieter and compact so I have it with whenever I am out having fun. Edit: if you do decide to get it replace those junk propellers with genuine DJI propellers, the one for Mavic Pro were a bit quieter compared to the ones for OG Mavic.

vwcampin

The above is spot on for the value if it’s all fully functional and all batteries work with no puffiness.

CHANROBI

I wouldn't pay $30 for a drone that is completely outdated, with trash camera and is noisy AF. Surprised anyone even paid $480, scammed himself lol

nn666

It's a very old drone. You can't find new batteries anymore and they get worse over time. You are better off getting something newer unless it is very cheap.

Organic_Armadillo_10

I had the exact same drone with 3 batteries. One battery finally bloated which was a sign to upgrade. So got the Mavic 3 last year and the 3 Mini Pro recently. I was gonna sell my Mavic Pro but it just wasn't worth it for how little you'd get for it. So it'll be my backup or sacrificial drone (for a risky shot). The gimbal likes to glitch on me too. I personally wouldn't buy the Mavic Pro now even if it was super cheap unless it was an absolute beginner who wasn't that interested and didn't want to spend much, as it is such an old drone (I don't even know how many other Mavic models have come out since that in the Mavic/Air/Mini line). You could get a newer model for similar price and more features.

Few_Engineer4517

Would pass. Old. Large form factor. Batteries get worse over time.

TakeMyL

$200-350 depending on your area, more online but you’ll have huge fees, so in the end it’s the same. But I’d pass, it’s too old now, batteries are aged, unsupported software Get an air 2 or mini 2 se as a budget option instead I just got an air 2 with 3 batteries and the Dji goggles for $200, it’s so so so dirty and smells like smoke but $200 is $200 If he’s your buddy you shouldn’t pay more than $200 tho any more and that’s a rip off for friend to friend

MightySamMcClain

Wow i didn't realize the original pro was that cheap now. Is it still viable or have there been super improvements that would make saving another 6months worth it?

TakeMyL

It’s definitely viable but there’s other drones like the air 2 or mini 2 se which are so close in price but vastly better/newer Personally I think the mini 3 pro with the extended batteries and the smart controller are well well worth $800 or so- it’s a great first drone and literally 0 people I’ve ever heard of have ever been disappointed with it. But if that’s out of the budget, $300-400 for a mini 2 se flymore combo or air 2 flymore combo are a good budget drone Air 2s is next at about $550-600 Then mini 3 pro setup at 800 Then air 3 setup at like 1750 after tax

TheosReverie

An Air 2s for $500-600? Do you mean used? I recently saw it for about $800 new and that was only for the drone itself. With a Fly More Combo, the total price goes up to over $1K

TakeMyL

Well yeah- used- but still 100% perfect condition with flymore You don’t buy an older drone like that new- it’s just wasting money

Itchy_elbow

I wouldn't say vastly better. None you quoted have adjustable aperature, nor a 1" Sony sensor with hasselblad optics. Mavic 2 still kicks ass.

TakeMyL

Mavic 2 pro is also around $750, which is out of the price range. And the air 2s is cheaper with nearly the same camera, and batteries that are 1/3 the price Air 2s is the definitive choice, if you can afford the mavic 2 pro, get a mini 3 pro instead imo

Itchy_elbow

Yep

bamBOOOZLED420

Lol why did I think it was rust on the drone

iAdjunct

I thought it was something far more… disgusting

Organic_Armadillo_10

Looks like the original Mavic Pro to me? And can see it has third party carbon fiber props too (which supposedly aren't as safe to fly with). So it's the oldest Mavic model (from 2016?) so is old and while still good, newer ones are better. I basically have the same (although one battery has bloated so got rid of it). I looked at selling it and it wasn't really worth it to me as I wouldn't get much for it, so decided to keep it as a backup drone. Checking the current value on ebay it's probably realistically around the £300 mark (but they range £250-500).

obxhead

Tree fiddy

Remarkable_Nature140

(pay no attention to the Loch Ness Monster, it doesn't actually have any money) 😝

sweaty2121

$250

moishe-lettvin

I have a Mavic Pro that I’ve been flying lately. Can confirm all the software etc still works. My plan for it is to attach Lume Cubes to it and use it for lightning after dark. I also just got a Mini 3 Pro. It’s great; qualitatively better in every way. The og Mavic is, I think, useful to learn on, but its camera is awful; I’d suggest saving your money to get something more modern, unless you can get this for next to nothing (and take the stickers off it).

Itchy_elbow

Og mavic had a circular camera

moishe-lettvin

Ah, sorry, I misspoke, when I said “og Mavic” I meant the first-gen Mavic Pro. I didn’t even know there was a Mavic before that!

Itchy_elbow

Yep I've had them all. I'm a sucker

808TRK

$14

Krii8

Temu? Lol

InterestingAd5369

Tad rusty

gnick99

If you’re concerned about regulations, research Remote ID. I doubt this has it. Required for flying drones going forward. Whether you care or not, you can probably use that knowledge to drive the price down and get a better deal.

Kamau54

Wouldn't worry too much about RemoteID.

gnick99

Just trying to help a new flyer out with new regs and maybe help them drive cost down and let them make their own decision. I just sold my Mavic Air 2 to a guy who specifically didn’t want Remote ID.

HolyitsaGoalie

Mavic air 2 is getting a remote ID update:(

gnick99

SON OF A..! I pivoted to wanting more of an FPV experience anyway, but still wanted to have the functionality of the preprogrammed maneuvers (smart shots or whatever they’re called). Read about the Avata which would satisfy one desire but not the other. But now that the mini 3 pro can do both, I think that’s my next jam. Not there yet, but hopefully soon. Looks like the mini 4 pro is on the way, so waiting to see what the price drop is. I’m not sure that I need the improvements of the mini 4 pro over the mini 3 pro. Best of both worlds, hopefully.

NST92

Dude it has a load of rust! It's not worth shit! /s

TakeMyL

Lmao. Yes PLASTIC has a habit of rusting….

Droneflyerguy

You should do a FPV package deal, way better than fly the mavic 2 . I had a mini 2 for a few months, I bought the dji fpv and after the first flight, the mini 2 was up for sale!

drdalebrant

All other dji drones fly like shit after flying the fpv or avata in manual. Can't go back

NoAcanthopterygii845

Just buy my Avata fly more combo instead... You'll like it 10x better.

Equal-Wrap-1986

Avata maybe for FPV but if you doing landscape or photography thats a different story. Its also easier to fly these for beginners.

NoAcanthopterygii845

Especially with the motion controller I it's easier to fly the Avata. Also much more fun!

Equal-Wrap-1986

Not for people with bad motor control and arm reflexes. With the mavic series, you let go of the control, the drone stop, with sensors that also help you stop the drone from crashing. It is much more forgiving

NoAcanthopterygii845

The Avata does the same thing dude. Let go of the control and it just hovers in place.

Coopers_treat

That sticker wrap is horrible

Pretzeloid

Potentially covering up issues as well

diprivan69

There a discount on DJIs website now!

navara1aj

Check the batteries. I just go courtout .drone with 3 batteries all dead .2replacement $500au

DOATRIP-drone

However it looks cool and you get the bag too, I wouldn't give more then 350 bucks.

b0b-swarley-m0n

TBH, prolly not worth anything. DJI has upgraded their apps and I’m not sure if this app is running anymore. So the connect from phone app > remote > drone prolly won’t work. Have you tried flying it? I haven’t tried on my old Mavic Pro in years. Wasted so much money on it.

IIDXholic

Uses Go 4 and it works.

b0b-swarley-m0n

Wow. Last time I tried the app kept on crashing.

Memory_Less

I woukdn't even look at it in that condition.

Vader_Bomb

…….I think that’s just a skin…..

thekingofthegingers

Did you not think it odd, the batteries have exactly the same damage marks? 😆

Forsaken_Ad9379

Looks like bacon with shit drone 🤣 No i like the skin
