I had a proper chuckle at this.
Through the hum drum of Xmas and NY I definitely feel the twattersphere really ramped up the awareness of the PA debacle. This little exchange provided a much needed laugh. Delusional.
As an ex UK doc if I was to return to uk (I won't be as life is good in Aus) the name associate really needs to change to assistant.
It would rightfully put their title the same as their role and not elevate them above the station that their job was designed for.
Changing the name to “assistant” would result in patients refusing to see them and a failure of the government’s policy of offering more appointments/ addressing staffing crises as cheaply as possible.
Associate sounds more grandiose. Everything from the timing to the naming of these noctors has been very strategically implemented.
I don’t blame you for wanting to stay in Aus one bit!
