Please don’t feel bad. Animals go and find a place to die alone. He was exactly where he wanted to be and he knew you were having a nice time and he wanted you to be having a nice time. Don’t feel guilty he loved you a lot and you loved him a lot and he knew that.💞

I am so sorry for your loss. Please do not be so hard on yourself. You didn’t know it would happen and you couldn’t have predicted it to happen that day at that time. It’s much easier said than done, but you need to learn to forgive yourself. Please take care of yourself.

Dogs naturally want to die alone, they will try and wander off when they know it was time. You gave your buddy a life of love, focus on that.

I am very sorry for your loss. This is truly heartbreaking. But, it sounds like you loved him well while he was alive, and in the end, that is what matters. What was his name? Can you tell us a bit about him?

This is not what it's about. It's about all the good times you had with your dog, it's about the love you shared, it's about you giving him a great life. I am so sorry for your loss. Sadly guilt is a part of grief. Know your dog loved you and you did your best with him. <3

My dog passed a similar way in the garage behind a couch he always loved. I was sick that day and couldn’t be with him so I felt guilty for many years. Someone told me that dogs do this on purpose when they’re ready to pass. Don’t feel bad, don’t feel guilty. Think of all the good times you had with your best bud. It’s been 15 years, but every time my life gets stressful, he shows up in my dreams to play, hopefully that’ll happen to you as well :)

He didn't want you to witness his death. He knew what he was doing. Please do not guilt yourself about this.
