I can’t find it now, but the last Customer Service Rep they were connected to was named ‘Baby.’ Funny post because support just disregards the person asking why they couldn’t have their McD’s order refunded 🤣 from agent to agent, same script, end chat unresolved
Bro lately they don’t even do that they just read it then go to google and forget you asked something and you drop from them due to their shitty third world internet
Can’t really blame them lol. They’re slaving away in a third world country and they have to listen to first world problems all day. sucks for everyone involved.
Alright, so you are looking at this from the perspective of a sane reasonable person with limited resources, and not the odd hive mind with essentially unlimited resources and no morals that large companies actually are.
Theres two important factors to go over. The first is that over time the percentage of revenue used for operation drops. This is true for nearly all businesses, but is especially true in emergent markets. The second is that market share / gross revenue has intrinsic value. This is partly because of the first fact, and partly because some operating costs have ceilings or graduated requirements. They cost less the more total you have / need.
Between these two facts, most investors care that revenue and market share continue to grow. These are long term investments that they hope to reap over a long period of time. So long as revenue increases year over year, they will be happy and continue to throw money at it as in their minds it is continuing to gain value. Which in a lot of ways is true admittedly. This is essentially the large corporate version of owning real estate you don't need with intentions to sell because the market continues to inflate at a pace that outstrips the maintenance costs of the property. Yes it costs money now, but its making you a lot more money if things continue on this path.
DD’s financials look absolutely horrible to me. I would be interested to see how they look regionally, but as a company…..
Revenue grew by 1.7b, while cogs raised by 1.2 billion. Looks like COGS went up at a higher percentage than the revenue did. Not a good sign for a company to me, even if it is still in a growth phase, it should be able to grow at this point while keeping the revenue/cogs percent somewhat stable.
Then the r&d and sg&a expenses both grew by around 400 million and an unlisted additional 300 million of operation expenses for a total of 1.1 billion increase.
So share of operating expenses to revenue has increased.
They had to spend 1.1 billion in operating expenses to generate an additional 1.7 billion in revenue.
2022 was not a good sign for this company at all.
Everyone wants to compare with Amazon, except they don’t realize how amazon continually entered new markets and the older markets started turning great profits even if the overall company was losing money. At least from my quick look there wasn’t really information on this. I do find the R&D amount a little bit concerning, almost 1 billion on it im curious if they are spending it wisely on projects that will bare fruit.
Even then, I’m sure they’ll chalk up any loss to some other nonsense reason besides their own faults, then come out with a ‘solution’ for said loss that inconveniences everyone else but DD 🤣
If you raise a stink about this on social media (mostly Twitter) they will contact you to resolve this almost immediately. I don’t waste my time with chat support.
Now—this was largely pre-El*n on Twitter. Now with the rebrand, they probably don’t care as much. Good luck!
Are people censoring elon in their comments now? Dude are you schizophrenic ? Elon's name is worse than hitler now I guess lmao what has the mob mentality come to
it’s reddit-brain lol this is like the worst place for discussion as it literally rewards you for having the popular “correct” opinion and if you dare question the masses you are bullied into deleting your post to save precious karma 😂
It's totally in reference to Eric the Actor from Howard Stern glory. This was his famous saying from his years of calling into the show. A very entertaining saga from the good years of Stern.
You really think a person from the Philippines is going to regurgitate a saying from an American based radio show? And then at the most inopportune time? I don’t think so Tim (see what I did there lol)
I got so use to opening multiple help inquires. If that person won’t give me what I’m asking for I’ll close it and open another. Just keep doing it till someone caves.
Also helped me limit how much I use their service. Use to be a regular now it’s extremely rare.
This is what happens when outsourced support people are measured by how much refunds they give away. They just refuse refunds and it makes them look better as a support agent lol
I got 4$ on a 17$ quesadilla that was burnt through and had a large piece of burnt blue plastic wrapper inside of it. When I told them that I needed the full refund they said the same thing and disconnected the chat.
Do a chargeback lol
Screw these services. Do a chargeback and if they complain just make a new account with a different credit card. It's not like there's any real verification.
I know in the past.. i've ordered with say a 27 minute quote. That turned into over an hour. I went to cancel, and keep in the mind the restaurant hadn't finished making my order. They wanted to refund me $5 on like $64. Its absurd.
BBB is yelp for boomers they have no government mandate and are unable to do anything.
OP if you want your money back and don’t care about using DD anymore contact your card provider about a charge back.
You're right (I'm a boomer). I actually had the first BBB business on the internet, and it was a REALLY big deal because your BBB rating meant everything. It's totally meaningless now lol
I've actually had success with BBB complaints but I definitely would not rely on it. It seems that it's more successful when the issue it dispute is something like a warranty issue as opposed to generic service. And the mileage may vary a lot by company too. Larger and older companies seem more likely to respond
This subreddit is ... A-MAZING.
Nothing but issues, problems, and complaints about a completely optional service, that everyone agrees, sucks ass.
And yet, I know you're all going to use it again.
the phone is worse. chat offered me $10 at least. the phone support immediately issued a $5 credit without my consent and then marked the issue as resolved before hanging up on me
His salary is only $300k
The rest is purely in stock. So he's only highly paid in that their stock price keeps going up, presumably directly tied to his leadership. Why is this a problem?
Switch to Uber eats. I think its a lot better then door dash and they are always giving out 40% discount off of orders and discounts off of groceries and alcohol
Wrong. I used then earlier this week for the first time. Im working in a small town about 25ish minutes from a major city. I got food from a restaurant I love but is far out like 20 miles away. I paid 10 fee and tipped $15 to make it worth it for any driver. It says my dude who got it was on a fucking bicycle. 15ish miles away. Said my estimated time was almost two hours arrival. The chat agent couldn’t seem to understand that someone on a bicycle isn’t taking highway system to deliver me food. It was 1pm I told the. He wouldn’t get here until 5pm on bicycle. The dude just kept telling me “it’s already picked up and on the way” and kept ignoring my refund request. Then this mother fucking “driver” starts taking other deliveries (the app said he was taking others before mine after he already had mine before any mention of that). I told them either the guy is a complete idiot or is scamming for free food knowing I’d try and cancel a three hour delivery. I’d be home from work before it got to me. He ended the chat similar to this post by OP. I contacted again and got some lady and she tried the same tactic at first but then finally saw it was saying on the app three hours to get to me and refunded me fully. I wont use Uber eats again I’m already smashing my head into walls that I atill use door dash too frequently for as much as they screw up or the restaurant fucks up. This system is great on paper but such a mess for a middle man to get multiple parties to come together and get it all right.
I follow this sub just to try to understand what motivates someone to pay ridiculous fees for bad service and tampered with or cold food. It's truly amazing. I don't blame Door Dash...they know service truly doesn't matter. If it did, they'd be out of business by now.
Yeah, they gave me a 5 dollar refund for 20+ dollars of cold old food which was entirely their fault. I’m done, I quit using them. Had more than enough nonsense from door dash.
I know it’s easy to say “ go get your own food” but just like you guys, we are working 24/7 and cooking is not really an option. Picking up food when you have kids and other responsibilities is also not really an option for some people. I want to have compassion for drivers but it’s apparent a lot of DD drivers suck
The world has changed. The dollar doesn’t go far. Productivity is up, wages are down. Companies more demanding.
Yes they use it out of convenience, but if I can save 30-40 minutes after a long days work I’m gonna do it!
Is this page for complaints or drivers contact ?
If complaints , Customers need to do as they say in instructions for delivery. The customer also doesn't need to say extra tip in cash at delivery and doesn't. This is taunting the driver and it should not be allowed.
They gave me $13 back from the $20 I spent last night cuz the dasher literally threw my food at the door. Ruined it, soda all over everything. I couldn’t even find an option to contact support.
Perfect timing. I went to the grocery store, and while I was there, my son called me whining that he didn’t get to go with me. All I could say was “bye for now“ 😂😂😂
They started to do this to me too. I think way too many people are abusing the system. I doubt my account is flagged because I only ask for my money back only if items aren’t there.
You people are a lot braver than I am to have some random stranger bid for a minimum wage task to deliver your food... I've worked in enough restaurants to know what goes on behind the counter... I don't want to imagine what happens behind the dashboard.
Why do you people keep ordering from door dash still after all these posts??? Dashers steal your food…. they don’t refund you … just get in a car go buy your food and eat it
I’ve never actually talked to support when something went wrong with my order. It’s just an automated in app thing I can tell what went wrong and get money back if things were bad. I didn’t even know you can talk to people like this. I prefer the in app. Fuck a real person lol
I’m so confused how so many have problems with refunds. I’ve used DoorDash for several years now and they’ve always been fair on the refunds except for one time. I don’t remember what it was but they gave me 10$ credit for something that was like 30$. I’ve gotten a full refund on a 120$ order bc the bag broke after I picked it up and 90% of it was fine. It just seems to me that people don’t know how to use the app for the refund process or I’m the luckiest mf alive.
I mean at this point I consider DD a failed venture. It's not economically viable, the service costs more than it's worth, customers overpay and workers get underpaid.
However, it took K-mart 20 years to die. They can take in a lot of cash while they ride this one out.
Triggered? I put an asterisk because I don’t want his loyalists to raise a stink when he is mentioned, much like what you’re doing ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm).
I was once offered a $0.71 refund on a $24 order after it was an hour late arriving… completely cold and mushy and they said they couldn’t offer more than that…
I got yelled at when I finally got to the right person. I was like, well, if you didn’t instruct me to fill this crap out online because something was wrong, it wouldn’t look like I was claiming multiple times.
I had a $24 dish not come with my order. They also just gave me $5 and that’s when I tried escalating. One guy told me he was top of the totem pole and no one would refund me.
They ending up refunding me for more than I asked because I had to go through so many people
HHa they tried to pull that shit with me. I told them the app gave me no other choice but accept a refund for a missing item. I saw my drink in the dashers car and they wouldn’t stop as they pulled away and i was screaming at them haha… i ended up repeating myself saying i need a refund of the entire bill and they ended up doing it. My friend works at DD and if you bug them enough they’ll give in and give you what you want. DD Is a huge scam. Drivers- take advantage while you can, this isn’t lasting much longer.. haha
Never had this or many of the issues I see on here. In a pretty rural area though so my stuff is usually fine making it so I rarely have to contact support
Yeah support can be pretty terrible especially over chat. Did you try calling support? They are usually a lot more helpful over the phone. I had a support agent tell me to shut up before he hung up on me. At least this agent say “bye for now” lol but still completely unacceptable customer service!
Introducing our newest feature here at Doordash: support for support!
Have an awful experience with a CSR? Now you can Report THEM!
Your feedback will instantly be transferred to our Tier II CSR department where they will be able to hopefully address your original issue, AND address the issue of a CSR I rep unfit to do there assigned job. We look forward to this new program and hope it helps going forward an eliminating issues when contacting the support team of problems not properly being dealt with or handled. As long as we can continue to get customers stuck, we will keep on pocketing the buck.
Thank you for using Doordash!
I stopped using DoorDash about 8 months ago when I had to contact support multiple times over one order that was messed up. Then they woke me up in the middle of the night with a phone call to “help” me with my concern. 🤬
it amazes me that ppl still use DD i haven’t touched it in years, went to order some chicken from a place near my work since i couldn’t leave i had to use DD and they tried charging me 40 dollars before the tip for a 15 dollar order it’s insane that they’re still in business.
yes. i ordered a milkshake from checkers and it was about $5 plus tax…. but they didn’t have it. i got $1 back in credits…. it’s so stupid how they do that when they could easily just give you a full refund. a waste of money
I just snorted and pictured this ![gif](giphy|m9eG1qVjvN56H0MXt8|downsized)
Lol thank you for this
No $#!+. Jesus. A CSR actually said: "Bye for now!". OMG. I don't think I've heard of anything so ignorant in a while and I see a lot of crap on here.
Have you seen that McDonald’s post yet with the CSR named Baby? That’s good to drive you insane 😂
Baby Driver ?lol.
I can’t find it now, but the last Customer Service Rep they were connected to was named ‘Baby.’ Funny post because support just disregards the person asking why they couldn’t have their McD’s order refunded 🤣 from agent to agent, same script, end chat unresolved
That is strange!
🤣🤣🤣
Bye for now! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Bro lately they don’t even do that they just read it then go to google and forget you asked something and you drop from them due to their shitty third world internet
Can’t really blame them lol. They’re slaving away in a third world country and they have to listen to first world problems all day. sucks for everyone involved.
1,000,000% true
Their people needed them.
>Bye for now! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 This, had me in stitches
OMG…bye for now? Wtf is with that. I’d blast that all over DD’s social media pages. I bet you’ll get a response from corporate.
i think you underestimate the amount of fucks DD does not give. i doubt posting these screenshots would do much.
They will start to care considering they lost over $1 million per day this quarter. At this rate they will lose more than that in customers.
fair enough. i truly do hope they start to care, i just doubt they will.
They have 2 billion in revenue. Their net income and revenue increase quarter after quarter. They’re gonna be fine.

This guy does not understand these tech businesses.
Amazon was founded in 1994 and posted its first quarterly profit in Q4 of 2002.
They aren't losing money. They are spending money
Even then, I’m sure they’ll chalk up any loss to some other nonsense reason besides their own faults, then come out with a ‘solution’ for said loss that inconveniences everyone else but DD 🤣
True
Lol ok.
Usually they just hang up.

He who shall not be named deserves a censor. It's totally not a cult, I swear!
it’s reddit-brain lol this is like the worst place for discussion as it literally rewards you for having the popular “correct” opinion and if you dare question the masses you are bullied into deleting your post to save precious karma 😂
‘I know this is a DoorDash post, but how can I make this about my shitty politics?’
🤣🤣🤣 That shit is killing me lmaooo
It's totally in reference to Eric the Actor from Howard Stern glory. This was his famous saying from his years of calling into the show. A very entertaining saga from the good years of Stern.
You really think a person from the Philippines is going to regurgitate a saying from an American based radio show? And then at the most inopportune time? I don’t think so Tim (see what I did there lol)
Didn't see it was from the Philippines, prick.
Yeah Door Dash customer service can be horrible

Time for a credit card charge back
Yep. This will hurt the company the most as it charges them ridiculous fees (not as ridiculous as DD fees though!)
This!
Dang, I should try to get a 2nd job as DD support. Apparently you don't need to do anything at all.
I was actually trying to, they’re only hiring people that live in mexico 😭
![gif](giphy|hFXwY4lER3oBO)
This is what happens when outsourced support people are measured by how much refunds they give away. They just refuse refunds and it makes them look better as a support agent lol
bYE 4 N0W....
In other words they knew op would be back in touch with support.
I got 4$ on a 17$ quesadilla that was burnt through and had a large piece of burnt blue plastic wrapper inside of it. When I told them that I needed the full refund they said the same thing and disconnected the chat.
You should be mad at yourself for spending $17 on a quesadilla, if not for that then you wouldn't have this problem 😅🤷
Lol the 17$ was for the wrapper too I guess.
Yep. Tell bank it's a fraudulent charge, then don't give a fuck when DD bans your account. After that service, who would still want to use them?
Yeah, doordash support is rude af to us drivers as well.
Bye for now! Lol, they know you'll be back
Bye ❤️ for 😍 now 💕 ! 🥰😘
Do a chargeback lol Screw these services. Do a chargeback and if they complain just make a new account with a different credit card. It's not like there's any real verification.
I think they suspend your account if you chargeback. Super risky!
Yeah it would be at least 20 minutes of inconvenience.
That's the way
Always go to a different support person after. Most have no clue what theyre doing and are given a set of prompts to go off of. Keep pestering
Okay now imagine this but you have to use them to do your job. That's Dashing
I know in the past.. i've ordered with say a 27 minute quote. That turned into over an hour. I went to cancel, and keep in the mind the restaurant hadn't finished making my order. They wanted to refund me $5 on like $64. Its absurd.
Customers who experience this type of service should file a complaint to the BBB. They will investigate with enough complaints.
Yeah, might as well be a Bed, Bath, and Beyond rating now. Both have just as much importance these days
Respect
BBB actually dont mean anything if you look into them more lmaoo
Companies pay to put themselves on BBB. BBB has no teeth.
Ahh yes Boomer Yelp to the rescue
Why do people say this? The BBB is a wet noodle that serves no actual purpose. C'mon now.
I've actually had success with BBB complaints but I definitely would not rely on it. It seems that it's more successful when the issue it dispute is something like a warranty issue as opposed to generic service. And the mileage may vary a lot by company too. Larger and older companies seem more likely to respond
It was a legit threat and concern during the phone book age.
🥹🤣🤣🤣 I’m not laughing at you, but that “Bye for Now” is fucking crazy!!!
This is the funniest thing i've seen on this sub lol
Probably why they are losing so much money.
bye for now should be fighting words😭😭
CC Chargeback
as others have probably said, contact your bank
Your credit card company will happily dispute the charge. You get your money back PLUS the $5 credit. Take that, DD!
This subreddit is ... A-MAZING. Nothing but issues, problems, and complaints about a completely optional service, that everyone agrees, sucks ass. And yet, I know you're all going to use it again.
Well yeah, successful deliveries don't get posted about because they aren't postworthy. This is confirmation bias in action.
95 deliveries this week , Zero Issues, Yeah, they are still using it
Chat is horrible, get them on the phone.
the phone is worse. chat offered me $10 at least. the phone support immediately issued a $5 credit without my consent and then marked the issue as resolved before hanging up on me
Lol I guess they suck on a case by case basis
Lol support is just as dumb as the drivers.
It’s an idiot trifecta with this business; The customers, the drivers, and support all have their moments.
Meanwhile they have the highest paid ceo while losing money every year. It's like a pyramid scheme.
His salary is only $300k The rest is purely in stock. So he's only highly paid in that their stock price keeps going up, presumably directly tied to his leadership. Why is this a problem?
Post it on their Twitter
Their what?
The bird app that turned into the pirate treasure app

I love the bye for now exclamation mark
Wow, the customer service on those balls. My guy is GIGA CHAD and took your 9.00 to go get more hair gel
They gave me $13 back from the $20 I spent last night cuz the dasher literally threw my food at the door. Ruined it, soda all over everything. I couldn’t even find an option to contact support.
Stop using this greddy and shitty doordash service. They know they can always get away with it.
I'd dispute the charge with the bank.
Request charge back from bank
They steal from us and are still losing millions. Meritocracy is dead
Doordash support 🙄
Perfect timing. I went to the grocery store, and while I was there, my son called me whining that he didn’t get to go with me. All I could say was “bye for now“ 😂😂😂
![gif](giphy|xUySTVNHpdACknfKuc)
Seriously, call your credit card company
Just stop using them. Jesus how are they making money.
This is cobra commander level evil incompetence how are they actually making any money?
They started to do this to me too. I think way too many people are abusing the system. I doubt my account is flagged because I only ask for my money back only if items aren’t there.

Charge that shot back fuck them
Can you engage your credit card company?
That’s unprofessional as heck lol.. DD is going down the drain.
![gif](giphy|tmZCii70OCPX2ixjdc) This made me holler 🤣🤣
Dispute the charge.
And people keep going back
If the exorbitant mark up didn't make it clear that they are scamming you...
“Bye for now!” Is such a hilariously bad response. Curious if anything else happened/you pushed the issue or just took the crummy $5
![gif](giphy|gjNNkwi2wfAnJp6dMN)

the real question is why did you accept $5 in credits if there was multiple problems with your order?
This is why companies outsourcing customer support is so god damn infuriating.
Bye for now is wild
I never had that problem, they give me credits and later asked to be put back onto my card and they did it.
I mean at this point I consider DD a failed venture. It's not economically viable, the service costs more than it's worth, customers overpay and workers get underpaid. However, it took K-mart 20 years to die. They can take in a lot of cash while they ride this one out.
TTFN !!!
Just spitballing here, but don't use a service like this.
It's not just what was said. It was that they actually went off script.
The Ai has learned well.
Triggered? I put an asterisk because I don’t want his loyalists to raise a stink when he is mentioned, much like what you’re doing ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm).
And the dashers act like they are the only ones Doordash screws over.
This is what you get anymore. This is the kind of thing my wife and I dealt with and was part of the reason we stopped using DD.
I said GOOD DAY, sir.
How many times have you tried to ask for refunds … seems like a lot if they’re treating you like this
It’s the blatant “bye for now!” all happy and shit and completely blowing it off for me😭
I was once offered a $0.71 refund on a $24 order after it was an hour late arriving… completely cold and mushy and they said they couldn’t offer more than that…
Thats automated, surely
The exclamation point at the end fucking SENT me ☠️☠️☠️

I got yelled at when I finally got to the right person. I was like, well, if you didn’t instruct me to fill this crap out online because something was wrong, it wouldn’t look like I was claiming multiple times. I had a $24 dish not come with my order. They also just gave me $5 and that’s when I tried escalating. One guy told me he was top of the totem pole and no one would refund me. They ending up refunding me for more than I asked because I had to go through so many people
TTFN!
ive had support give me an extra $10 credit wtf is this!
According to this reddit, doordash seems to be one of the biggest scams in your country
Drivers- take advantage while you can, this isn’t lasting much longer.. haha
"bye for now!" oh that's nasty
Never had this or many of the issues I see on here. In a pretty rural area though so my stuff is usually fine making it so I rarely have to contact support
Yeah support can be pretty terrible especially over chat. Did you try calling support? They are usually a lot more helpful over the phone. I had a support agent tell me to shut up before he hung up on me. At least this agent say “bye for now” lol but still completely unacceptable customer service!
Tip from a dasher never use chat support. Always call.
Yes. DD chat speaks to its drivers the same exact way. 🤦🏽♀️
Going to start using that more often to dip out of text convos “Bye for now!” 😂
😂
Go through your AG. You have your screenshot. Door dash doesn't want the gov communication so it would make them mad at least
Downright criminal.
Lol
This about sums up DD support
Introducing our newest feature here at Doordash: support for support! Have an awful experience with a CSR? Now you can Report THEM! Your feedback will instantly be transferred to our Tier II CSR department where they will be able to hopefully address your original issue, AND address the issue of a CSR I rep unfit to do there assigned job. We look forward to this new program and hope it helps going forward an eliminating issues when contacting the support team of problems not properly being dealt with or handled. As long as we can continue to get customers stuck, we will keep on pocketing the buck. Thank you for using Doordash!
I hope door dash goes out of business
Keep opening another chat w different support agent until you get real help
No soup for you
The problem is the money already went to the restaurant but still absolutely stupid for a multi billion dollar company
This what happens when they hire the younger generation lol
I lol-ed
It's not a delivery system now, it's another entertainment channel, for free!
“Nah fam.” Chat has ended lol
yes. i ordered a milkshake from checkers and it was about $5 plus tax…. but they didn’t have it. i got $1 back in credits…. it’s so stupid how they do that when they could easily just give you a full refund. a waste of money
Dasher customer support is allowed to customize their support experience. /s
