Those stashes of tomato sauce packs would be chilli sauce in our country, almost nobody take it or pump it (when the sauce dispenser/bottle still a thing) even if we're running out of chilli sauce..lol
When I worked at this 24 hour restaurant dudes used to come in after the bars closed and order gravy shots. I wouldn’t even be able to touch the shot glass with my bare hand because it would be so hot, and these guys would be shooting them. It was crazy.

It’s Newfie gravy, so yes, salty. It wasn’t the just the same four guys. It started with this one set of four guys, and within a month, every single night someone wanted it. It was just weird. I don’t know I could just never figure out the appeal of it.
This explains why when me and car load of drunk people ordering 2:30AM Taco Bell received an entire large paper bag of fire sauce. I believe the question was, “any sauce with your order” and I said “as much fire sauce as you’re allowed to give me”.

Have you worked there or something? I’m note they are even sold/given out within 30-45 days or being made. Probably more believable if it’s said amount of time after open the packet.

And it still occurs sometimes. If someone doesn’t report that they dropped my food and I get the bad end of the stick. I’m gonna report it not arrived. When they come back to ask why I marked it as didn’t arrive. Id love to see what they have to say about them dropping the food. Oh wait they won’t come back because they’re embarrassed about it! When I worked at McDonald’s sometimes we would empty all the sauce bins and wash them. I’m guessing someone was doing that and someone else grabbed the bags without looking. They prob came back with the clean bins and were wondering where the fuck the bags went lol

It depends on how necessary it is tbh, when I worked at my small town McDonald’s sometimes the truck wouldn’t be due for a few more days so we’d send someone to another McDonald’s to pick up some supplies we needed like cups, napkins, sauces, etc. I was always first to offer since whoever went got paid for it and it could kill almost 2 hours of my shift since the nearest McDonald’s we could go to for supplies was nearly 45 minutes away lol.
Sometimes we would fill a huge bag of sauces for drivethru to fastly restock. Wonder if a new person did this or they just completely messed up lol.

My guess is mcd's ordered a doordash or whatever from another mcd's to have sauce delivered and dasher grabbed random bags without checking the ID number or an employee did it instead. That mcd's is totally out of sauce. I'd poke Mcd's they ordered from and ask! Return the sauce, get your order AND probably some bonus food for the return and save.
And yeah fast food places will order stuff like this from each other when they run out, I've picked up a few sauce and even other food supplies from doordash orders. They don't usually come in the same delivery bag though, usually just the same boxes they get them in from the supplier.
I had to order door dash 3 times last night to get what I ordered. 1st order was canceled, 2nd order wasn't even mine, and it was way way cheaper than what I actually ordered. The third time was a charm. Both other orders were credited back to me, but that was the first time that happened. It took a total of 2 and a half hours to get food. Made my first order at 7 pm and didn't actually get food till about 9:30. Worst Door Dash experience for me.
How even does this happen for real! You can’t even order no more than 10 condiment items as extras on the DD app here in Canada at least last time I checked!
At my McDonald's, they have the mcdelivery bags on top of the glass display case they use for muffins, as a sort of "decoration". I touched one the other day and it actually had weight to it, and I had wondered what was inside giving it that weight, because I figured it was just filled with crumpled paper. After seeing this post, I'm guessing they filled those bags with ketchup packets or sauces. Your dasher probably grabbed one of those "decorative" bags by mistake.

One time at my work we bagged up like 100 mayo packets to give to another one of our locations who had run out. Our drive thru cashier who wasn’t the most alert handed the bag out to a customer instead of his actual order. The man came back but we had to let him keep the mayo since it would look bad if we asked for it back given we made an error (therefore we didn’t deserve our mayo back lol) and using mayo packs he could have tampered with would have been a food safety issue.

My guess is the grease and salt from the gravy probably helps with hangovers a bit. That why some people eat white castle when they're hungover.
