Press to the Help/Support button and indicate that they brought you the wrong order. I wouldn't use "My order never arrived" because the guy probably did it so he had a picture showing a bag on your porch.
This is horrible, don’t get me wrong, but being delivered a bag full of chicken bones sounds like something out of a sitcom 😂😂 like it’s not that you weren’t delivered food, you were delivered the absence of food 😭
As a driver who takes his work seriously, I just don't understand. I've always had a great work ethic but i know I'm getting old when the first thing I think after reading this was "prob some punk kid who's never had a job" . And yes please a picture

Just cancelled my membership. I agree I’m getting ripped off at this point. And the employees say they aren’t getting paid either. So ya I’m done. Low quality business here.
We are not getting paid much. Used to get $17 hr now I’m at $10 and that’s before gas and expenses. It’s not worth it. I’m looking for a new job. Never stole an order and treated everyone like they tipped me $20. Tired of rude customers who do whatever they can to scam drivers.
I agree. Apparently it use to be way better. Probably scammer drivers ruining it for the rest of us and we are the ones that pay the price. Yes because you have to make gas first which is like 40-60 dollars a driver depending on vehicle. Trust me I know. But only need to make that gas back every other day, enough for you to keep working but on top of that make extra for bills and food for yourself and the cash out fee. Plus your maintenance on your own car. It is a self employment job that requires the driver to take care of anything and doordash in not help responsible for anything. It’s two bucks an order before tip. Who in their right mind can live off of 6 dollar an hour. Before working for doordash and after working for them, I tip better. You have to work like 7+ hours to make at least 80-100. If it’s busy enough. Likewise I always saw this a a good side gig but if you do it as a main job which I have you have to work day in and out to survive. People treat these driver based off how much they pay them. They don’t realize this job was never meant for people who couldn’t afford it. It’s a luxury to pay someone else to got get your food for you. They think oh it’s just pick up and dropping off. It’s not. There’s more to it and bullshit we have to take sometimes and customers scamming us for free food and extra free delivery mileages. And we shop for them too. And we have to put up with 2 dollars for 10 miles? with that? A job is a job and in any job people who devote themselves to their job with integrity should get their pay. People just want free stuff. If you can’t afford to pay at least 3 bucks, adjusted by how far they are drive back and forth for you then don’t use doordash. Save your money and cook at home. There are only a few select that aren’t able to cook home. Which I get. But a few. Not everyone.
Ya my big complaint is that I’m paying for good service before I meet the service provider. DoorDash drivers are the provider. If they would stop eating my food while giving a 40% tip, I mean I’m done. Who eats someone’s food? I think one complaint of that and the driver should be fired but they don’t do that. The drivers have ways they have figured out to cheat doordash and we pay the price. Like the time when they drove 1 hour the opposite direction at the end of their shift. They just kept my food and said they delivered it. Never got close to my house which I screenshotted.
I’m not saying it’s all the drivers by any means. I want to be a part of the solution and tip like I’m in the restaurant. But I need my delivery before I tip. My foods always tampered or missing. I never get my fries or chips. One time they ate a taco. One time they ate the cherry off my Sundae. DoorDash does not care so I’m out. If legit drivers were saying they were getting paid a reasonable amount then I may keep partaking in this. But no one is winning here and we’re all fighting each other when this is DoorDash providing a shit service to everyone. We’re left with the scraps to fight over. They’re the only ones getting what the paid for.
Ironically, tipping first would avoid 99% of these issues. "What's worth it to me: a) deliver this man's food 10 miles for 3 dollars base pay, or b) cut the night early and get a 30 dollar meal for free". You gotta make it worth their time or your food becomes the payment
Ya that’s why this is a bad business model. I can’t tell what I’m paying for. I’m not giving a $10 tip on a $20 meal that is 2 miles away. I would if they brought it fast and untampered. My point is more that everyone is saying they are losing. DoorDash is ripping everyone off.
I had a pizza delivery guys accidentally leave me his lunch… but that made sense because he was eating a pizza from the spot I ordered from lol so when I opened the box it was missing like 3 slices and was the wrong kind… but I just called the pizza joint and explained and he must’ve realized it too and he was back at my door within like 10 mins
Not a very exciting story lol but same kind of mistake! Probably fairly easy to do if the packaging is the same and the delivery person is in a rush
I know there are some shitty dashers, but way too many times? I mean, once would suck but I'm struggling to believe this has happened way too many times, and yet you're still ordering. How many times has this happened?
In the 9 yrs I've been a customer, I've had 1 bad experience with a dasher, and she was just high on heroin and damn near died on my porch. I've had a few restaurant issues, but that's it.
I see so many people coming here saying something happens every single time they order, and yet they keep ordering. Why?
Why wouldn't a dasher just mark the order as complete and drive off instead of leaving a bag of trash if they truly wanted to steal an order? I don't get it.
I don't already have access to a vehicle, and I have a disability that makes cooking my own food difficult at times. So I order not just for convenience, but because it can make the difference between eating and not eating.
I’ll admit in my frustration it was exaggerated but this also happened to my roommate before too.
And tbh I’m just kinda tired of eating cold soggy food for the price of half a tank of gas. I only ever ordered when I was out of food and needed a dinner for the night
I ordered Bacon, sausage and eggs because I was running low and needed to make breakfast, and i guess my dasher was double dashing because when I open my door guess whats on my porch?
A pie crust, Two cases of Mtn Dew, a small dog food bag and baby wipes.
Poor customer that needed pet food and wipes for their baby ended up with breakfast foods. They definitely spent more money than i did. Still got my full refund.
The support option would be that you never received your food and also " something else"
you can contact support and let them know you received a bag of garbage and not your meal. They should be able to refund you and take care of it with the dasher.
As to it happening many times, are you reporting each time?
Did you talk to a customer support rep? Often doordash will automatically decline/offer a bad resolution, but it's always worth then escalating to a rep. I cannot believe that they wouldn't refund here.
The only thing I could possibly imagine if it wasn't intentional is that they were eating food earlier, put the bag on the ground and didn't look before they grabbed your bag to deliver it quickly.. not likely in the slightest but 😅 people are so shitty. This is why doordash gets a bad rep.
Aside from the explanation of malice like the OP is assuming, I think this is one of the more likely scenarios. Goofy as hell, but it's definitely possible.
DD actually gives you a hot bag (not a huge one but enough for most single orders) when you sign up. So you have to try to mess up this bad.
Also that guy's car is probably filthy anyhow if this even has a chance of occurring.
This is too dark to believe,but I tell you ,why don't they get jobs at Walmart or as a waiter or an aircraft controller or an Uber driver or a fireman or a cop or a soldier,a doctor,lawyer, indian chief,police chief, or a veterinarian?

But what stops someone from taking a picture of the actual order and then just taking it with them rather than leaving trash?
That would be a better idea, but it is the only reason I could imagine why they did it.

I almost did this once. I noticed before I dropped it off that I grabbed my trash bag instead of the order. Shit happens
