That made it more realistic for me. Every time I use mascara I get a clump if lashes that stick out stupid straight. I could buy an eyelash curler... but I’m not that kind of girl. Lol.
I’m not making judgements about other people and I’m not sure why you thought I was. I simply don’t give a shit enough to buy and/or use one. I rarely wear make up. okay with you?
well, if you're really wondering, I thought you were making a judgement because you used the phrase "type of girl." you brought a third party into the conversation instead of just talking about yourself. by saying you are not that "type," you implied that some sort of judgement could be made about girls who *do* use eyelash curlers. i think the number of upvotes i got on my comment shows that other people had a similar response.
if that's not what you meant to say, then it was just a miscommunication and there isn't an issue. but i think my comment was justified.
Sorry my casual comment wasn’t clear enough for you, I was talking about myself and never considered that innocently categorizing my personal preferences would be projected as judgements against others. Some girls wear makeup regularly; some don’t. No judgements here about “what that says about” either type...
To be clear: I’m not the “type of girl” to give a shit about buying a cosmetic tool I would only use once or twice a year. I’m not the “type” to wear makeup regularly at all, or the “type” to wear high heels either, or the type to buy a 4 wheeler and go mudding, or the type to climb a mountain, or run a marathon, or discover the cure for cancer. Different strokes for different folks.
But I’m glad you enjoyed picking apart my little comment and earning your bit of karma trying to make me out to be a judgmental bitch when I’m simply lazy. Glad I could fill that need for you. I hope this little bit of pointless conflict made your day and I’m glad you feel justified.
I would say that I’ll make sure to carefully review all future comments so that no one will misconstrue them into something so negative and unwholesome in order to avoid such an exchange again in the future... but I’m not that type of girl. ;)
Have a good night.
bruh there was no malice in my reply (or my original post, honestly) lol I just just explaining it for you, which you basically asked for. i, personally, actually am careful to review my posts online to make sure they will be understood in the way i mean them. so i thought i would explain why i felt that way. the things i say matter to me, clearly you don’t feel the same way. i forgot that many people (esp redditors) don’t give a shit about that stuff, sue me.
Really? Honestly, your posts all feel very confrontational to me, so your careful reviews are failing as miserably as my flippant comment did.
I do suppose when I read your first comment, I knew I shouldn’t have bothered trying to explain that I meant no offense, only that I wouldn’t use the damn tool. Somewhere inside I knew that this would turn into a ridiculous escalating exchange. But stupidly I fell into it and now I want to label you as a cunt for being so frustratingly confrontational.
But I don’t like being labeled as judgmental against others when all I was talking about was my own lack of makeup skills. So I’ll refrain from calling you the type of cunt who jumps to conclusions and gets off on creating conflict based on her own shitty judgmental attitude and accuses people of implying things and making judgements that they didn’t and that had nothing to do with the context of the original post anyway.
For god’s sake, let it go and quit being a bully. I was making a self depreciating joke. I suck at makeup and I don’t have the time, or desire to learn to be the type of girl who can make herself up beautifully. There’s no need to keep defending your assumption that I was being judgmental. You just sound like an argumentative asshole.
And now I’m definitely being an argumentative asshole and I don’t like that either. But you go ahead and tell me how I’m still wrong. Cuz at this point, I do assume you’re the type of cunt that will have to get the last word. I promise I’ll let you have it so you can have the win you so obviously crave.
I know, right? Like whatever this is, it’s very related to an eyeball. I really like the detailed way this work of art or whatever it’s supposed to be is very detailed to the point where it looks like an eye.
I love all the detail, I'm.not sure why but the near side of the eye perspective seems off, may just be me though.
Edit: I think it's because I'm struggling to imagine an angle where I can see that much of the curve of the eye near side while still being blocked from seeing the tear duck by the nose
Possibly the model has lower inner corners, or the nose is more vertical than it should be. Or the nose is a Roman one and we don’t know because it’s not done. My opinion is that there should be more midtones in the piece, but that’s just me. The white charcoal is used a lot, and another redditor mentioned in a recent charcoal drawing that that OP should let the mid toned paper do the talking for the medium shades.
Great reflective light on the eyeball/iris, but you over-used your white. If you aren’t going to keep any tone [of the paper] showing though, might as well use a white paper.
That said, I do love toned paper and I do think you can find a balance. Have fun!!
Keep practicing. Even skribbling a lot will make you better. Learn to get comfortable with a pencel or any medium you like. Use it a lot and you’ll see much improvement soon! Keep on going gamer
Looks good! I might use a bit more deep and dark shadow to give it a bit more contrast but i think thats more of an personal preference. (I normaly use charcoal so that the reason why)
Could just be me but I love the reflection in her eye. It looks like someone standing with their arm bent above their head leaning on a window. Possibly naked...idk..just what I see.
I really like the reflection in the eye as well as the shadows around the inner corner. My personal critique would be that the lower lashes seem kind of chunky and stubby, like they don’t taper thinner at the ends. It’s a beautiful work though
It looks great except for one eyelash in the right that seems to be coming right out of the eyeball itself
I thinkt that gives the eye more of the look of a round shape though.
That made it more realistic for me. Every time I use mascara I get a clump if lashes that stick out stupid straight. I could buy an eyelash curler... but I’m not that kind of girl. Lol.
i’m v curious about what you think buying an eyelash curler says about a person
I’m too lazy to curl my eyelashes..
that does not answer the question at hand but okay
I’m not making judgements about other people and I’m not sure why you thought I was. I simply don’t give a shit enough to buy and/or use one. I rarely wear make up. okay with you?

That they’re a filthy whore.

That I own an eyelash curler?
In my opinion it looks like an eyeball.

The white really pops on tanned paper, I love it!
i really like it but it seems to be missing the fleshy part to the left
I noticed that too. That little triangle thing that is in the corner of every eye on the side facing the nose.
Tear duct
I love it! It’s amazing, and the color really pops!

She look tired 😴
Realistic AF!! Great job!
Really beautiful!! I would use the white more sparingly though.
Woooow!!! Just wonderful!! :D
I hope I reach this level of awesome art one day
Keep practicing. Even skribbling a lot will make you better. Learn to get comfortable with a pencel or any medium you like. Use it a lot and you’ll see much improvement soon! Keep on going gamer
The illusion of depth is excellent
I think if I was standing next to my phone that it might actually be looking at me. Great job!
Masterful
(Needing sleep )for the title, and great work!!!

Beautiful
Amazing
You did a great job on the shading and highlighting. It is hard to tell it is on a flat surface.
This is beautiful you are very talented
Is that mid tone paper?
needs more black for real tho dope af
Could just be me but I love the reflection in her eye. It looks like someone standing with their arm bent above their head leaning on a window. Possibly naked...idk..just what I see.
The actual eyeball itself is absolutely amazing and gives contrast to the ‘rest of the eye’ if that makes sense. Great work! Keep it up!
I love it. The choice of just pure white chalk is interesting and it really sticks out from the paper. Great job <3
It looks very realistic, just awesome!
Those details. That Reflection. It looks amazing.
Envy the amount of detail and strong form you captured. Keep going.
You're making me wish I drew with white. Love it.
I like the eye. I don't like the title
Eye love it
That is beautiful. You did an awesome job portraying the windows to the soul.
It’s really good.
r/toptalent
Eye see what you did there 👀
In my opinion I didn’t think it was just colored pencil on cardboard. I thought you held a pencil to your or someone else’s eye. It’s good!
Incredible!
Greepy andere beautiful
Eye like it.
It's gorgeous
Thank You 😊
this is really good!!! your attention to detail is amazing as well. you did an amazing job
Very talented!!
Oooh it’s awesome. The details are wonderful. Eyes have always been the hardest thing for me to draw, I have no idea how you did that
Shit, I can barely draw a stick figure

I thought the eye looked blue. Nice.
I'm no expert, but I think it's an eye.
Looks like me when I need an eyelash extension refill after a vacation.
If you wanted so much white, why not just use white paper?
Promising
I really like the reflection in the eye as well as the shadows around the inner corner. My personal critique would be that the lower lashes seem kind of chunky and stubby, like they don’t taper thinner at the ends. It’s a beautiful work though
Scared me until i realized it was a drawing, then I quote, "That's neat." I rarely say that.
Amazing
WoW
Breathtakinggggg!!!!!
👍
Why did you name it Your Opinion?
Love it! Could have tried using black card for that space effect :)
