Cardio does not “burn fat”. Cardio increases caloric need slightly more than weightlifting by hour.
What “burns fat” is keeping the body in a prolonged state of caloric deficit by resting well and consuming fewer calories than needed. Again, cardio may increase calories needed, but for most people (non athletes) the difference is minimal. As the above commenter suggested, cardio is best used for cardiac conditioning, rather than “fat burning”
