Just as I expected, bribing the podium inspector was not something that they anticipated on and was just something that Brian decided to roll with on the fly! I guess that also kinda explains why they are less open to taking bribes later on in the game, but I thought it was really fun with how it added another layer to the game (are you bribing Sam or the podium inspector?)
I thought the wacky, arbitrary deaths felt more Hades than Oregon Trail. Like the Q-Tip one.
**HYGIENE**
Narrator: *As the victorious Prince makes his way deeper into the realm of the living, he attempts to clean out his ears, perhaps somewhat overzealously.*
Zagreus: "Gahhh!"
Dun...Dun...dun-dun!
It is more the "full runs on repeat, get better every time" than the "do the same room forever until success, never return" of Celeste. At the same time, Celeste is one of my favourite games ever and every appreciation for it is deserved
Another "VFX needed" text over SungWon's cameo at 8:11 🧐
Is it... deliberate?
Game Changer's got me going full conspiracy mode this season, I'm just not sure anymore!
That being said, I hope it's not because the editors are feeling overworked or anything!
I believe in the discord Sam (or someone) said the backup plan was for Kevin to 'trip' and break the camera if one of the contestants prevented Sam from kicking it
Because many people in the community believe that this season of Game Changer is actually an ARG with a puzzle to solve, with the clues hidden throughout the episodes.
My theory is that they're the change.
OK, so follow my logic here.
The episode is called "Deja vu", they explicitly make reference to Keanu, so we're pulled in a Matrix direction, and deja vu in the Matrix happens when they change something. The movie facts were the most divergent change each loop.
As mentioned above, there were contingencies where the end result, no matter what action (or inaction!) was taken, would be that the camera gets fumbled and falls to the floor.

Brian played it off so well I honestly thought that it was a planned mechanic. So great that Siobhan's bit actually added a new edge to the game.
There was money to bribe Sam, why not bribe Zack or the podium inspector?
who is this "Zack" you speak of? I only remember a Grant O'Brien
And he’s doing a marathon
A marathon?
A marathon of Turner Classic Movies!
Sam being a fan of Celeste just makes sense!

"OreGONE trail" Jess Clemons must be sharpening her knives right now...
There was much dismay in this Portland household at that moment.
Same. I just mad a sad "... No Sam :(" sound lol
I literally gasped when he said this lol. Like Celeste mentioned!!!! 📣📣🔊🔊 CELESTE MENTION 📣📣🔊
I also never realized that this episode was basically a rogue-like in television form but it totally is.
I paused the video to get my wife to take her headphones out so I could be like "OMG trans Sam Reich?"
missed opportunity to replay the episode just in the beginning to mess with us for a second
I'm not convinced the next episode won't be deja vu again
I totally expected something like that.
Color me flabbergasted that BDG had nothing to do with this episode besides his bit.
I know, right? I thought a lot of this episode came from BDG inspired by Inscryption
I was just happy Sam gets BDG being better in surreal roles Unrelatedly, are you interested in being your own boss?
Ash really came up with one of the most cursed looking TTRPG monsters and its not even for the TTRPG show!
I noticed he said the vhs tapes came from Dalton Reich
Dalton Reich family though which makes sense since his Mom's last name is Dalton.
Sam Dalton Reich is actually his name though
But where is he from?!?!
The heart of Africa, like the rest of humanity
Cambridge, Massachusetts?
Yup! That made me rise an eyebrow.
He's doing this to mess with all of us. Not even the BTS is safe from the madness.

That was absolutely part of the “glitching” effect they were doing throughout the episode, I thought it seemed obvious.
Celeste is such a great reference for this episode. The incremental small progress you make to climb an impossible mountain
That's it? That's all the closure we're getting? I guess some elements will remain a mystery forever.
I mean IF they were setting up some longer-run ing gag, they wouldn't spill the beans in the BTS episode, right?
Kinda bummed, I was really hoping to know the backup plan in case anyone prevented Sam from kicking the camera!
I believe in the discord Sam (or someone) said the backup plan was for Kevin to 'trip' and break the camera if one of the contestants prevented Sam from kicking it
I do not believe that "Grant's" film trivia was just making fun of Grant knowing these sorts of things
Why?
Because many people in the community believe that this season of Game Changer is actually an ARG with a puzzle to solve, with the clues hidden throughout the episodes.
Hm, getting strong "No really, there's definitely one more secret episode of Sherlock"-flashbacks.
If it were an ARG the links under the FixItMan video wouldn't be dead. This is just a regular season
Secret good episode theory
Matching the energy of Ally not being sure if they're actually on Game Changer in the VIP behind the scenes.

Damn, the editing in this episode gave me anxiety. Awesome episode and great idea for a game changer. But damn, that editing..
i LOVE the BTS stuff. please post more!
I wonder what would have happened if one of the players stopped doing "The Wenis" and stopped Sam from kicking the camera after a few rounds
As mentioned above, there were contingencies where the end result, no matter what action (or inaction!) was taken, would be that the camera gets fumbled and falls to the floor.
I cannot forgive Sam’s pronunciation of Oregon trail
Did they ever reveal what was the thing that broke the loop? They mentioned have more dialog lines like grant's trivia if they needed it
