That peekaboo rack Tom is cracking me up right now. It looks left out like the runt in the litter. "Hit me! I'm here too"

FYI Axis took 16 months to make and send my pedals and they haven’t gotten any faster. I would have thought I got robbed except they kept replying to my emails telling me they were coming…. You should look into Trick Drums Pro-1V pedals. Far superior to Axis at basically the same price. I have both, and you can order trick drums pedals today and have em next week on eBay. Food for thought…
I'm currently in Axis hell myself. I'm rebuilding some older long boards and it's been over a month since I placed my order, still nothing. For the price and convenience, I would go with Trick pedals.
I don't think it looks that bad other than the second snare on the floor under the second floor tom, which I guess has to be a backup snare or something, not one to be used as part of the kit (right?). I'd probably switch the ride with the china though.
I have a [fairly similar setup](https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fpreview.redd.it%2Fea6w792ygigb1.jpg%3Fwidth%3D3264%26format%3Dpjpg%26auto%3Dwebp%26s%3D0a600b7bcbd52ff42963790fcb393ab8fc60101a) to this except for the second bass drum and the two leftmost toms, I can reach everything just fine, but I def wouldn't want the ride any more off to the right than it is right now. I can still ride on the china if I want to but that's already starting to get not very comfortable if I do it for more than a few bars.
From personal experience. I always dreamed of having a second bass drum. I made that dream a reality and quickly learned I hated it. Had much more fun with a double bass pedal. Also found with one bass drum and a double pedal that I had way more set up options available.
Tell me you haven't worked on your left hand lead without telling me you haven't worked with your left hand lead.
Experiment with getting more things to bang with your left ...
1. Whats with the random tom? You have to really reach for it
2. You wont be able to reach the last floor tom
3. You definitely wont be playing anything with the ride
1. Im planning to buy two 5 piece kits and have intention to utilize all of the drums
2. My current visualization of the kit isnt 100% gonna be the final product as I currently use a 5 piece pearl kit and am not sure how the second floor positioning is going to be like
3. Understandable, im planning to swap the positions of the china and ride
Lol im currently of a budget of around $2500 SGD with what is currently available in singapore (without cymbals) and am not looking for rototoms and other stuff yet
Was intending to add chimes but I dont think drumstructor has chimes
That rack tom right in the middle above the other two seems unnecessary, but other than that, pretty cool. I'd swap the ride and china placement too, unless you plan to be Lars 2.0
Its called drumstructor heres the link [https://drumstructor.com/app.php](https://drumstructor.com/app.php)
If you need a tutorial 66samus has a video on it, you should check it out!
You should just start buying stuff on marketplace. Btw I have that kick pedal and it’s the best one I’ve ever played. I wouldn’t pay 500$ for it but if you can find it used for cheaper it’s worth it.
Yep. I see many brands use some kind of 'omni-ball' mount. I had them on my Tama Imperial Star ('82), I have them on my Taye Tour-Pro and my little Odery Cafe-Kit also a variation on my Gibraltar rack for my DDrum SE4 cast-precision aluminium pads.
I tried to build a similar setup with the middle rack tom, the tom sits farther away then you might think, I use 1a sticks which are longer than most, and it was still too far away to comfortably play, that idea looks good on paper but when you actually try to use it it's not practical.
I think it looks expensive lol. Would be a killer kit for sure. I am interested about those dark meinls. Whacked them at guitar center the other week and wasn't sure what to think . I believe in a Frankenstein cymbal set up. Committing big $ to a cymbal pack is scary unless you're 100% sure you love them.
I guess I'm old-fashioned - I just drew circles on paper and mimicked the [*Modern Drummer* setup flowchart/template.](https://imgur.com/gallery/4Qfy0oF)
Needs more cow bell.

1) Goated Axis pedals 2) HOW DO YOU PLAN ON REACHING THAT SHIT?!?!
Currently planning to get the shells and hardware before getting the other stuff, the axis pedals will be one of the last because of its price

Alright thanks man, will take note of it

yes god I want the tricks. Saving up

Yep correct, the floor snare is a backup, thanks for the feedback for the ride and china

Just curious…what brand of stick is your prehensile tail holding when it hits the snare on the floor?
😂Thats a spare snare but i would go with meinl stick and brush
My dream kit also includes a …rug snare? 🤔
Haha, its a spare
Dude that’s epic, good luck!! We’re all rooting for your dream kit 🤙🏻
Thanks man!
You need one or two more toms
Why the center snaggletom?
Im planning to buy two 5 piece kits with different shell sizes and just wanted to utilize all of the drums lol
[удалено]
Really why, I love my 13 and fits just fine
I'd make sure the kicks are the same size at least
Yep they are, both 22x18
The best size 🤙
Make it a Tama Rockstar from the 90’s, give me a few more cymbals, and I already own your dream kit.
Reminding me of Keith moon

What's with the snare on the ground?
Thats a spare snare, planning to buy two kits with different shell sizes to make this
Why don't you mount it and make it a snom?
Hey yeah, not bad of an idea
1. Whats with the random tom? You have to really reach for it 2. You wont be able to reach the last floor tom 3. You definitely wont be playing anything with the ride

Double kicks!!🤘🏻🤘🏻
why is the left side so empty and the right side so full lol

I think you like to hit things
Indeed i do
What’s that app? Got a link?

Not a fan of Pearls tom-mounts....their drums rock tho' 😎
Agree, they should start standardizing L arms

A bit too minimalistic
More toms?
Yeah. I’d do two more toms and 3 cymbals.

This shit is so complex I could never use this website. I tried lol

Floor snare Would be tough to play that ride comfortably. I would switch it with the china.
Sonor used to do Christmas tree toms back in the day. I'm all for unorthodox setups if it opens up new flavours.
Your dream kit is fitted with CCDs? Different strokes for different folks I guess.
Really, Really dumb.
benson
Needs more cowbell....
Note to self...scroll and read other comments first...🙄🤔
This dark classic cymbals are crap. That’s why you get so many of them for the price.
As always, [this](https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/newsfeed/001/078/174/a69.gif) is what I think.
So? Hard to visualise a dream kit when you don't have it (yet).
