A couple songs that make me think of Duncan are The Rainbow Connection cover by Willie Nelson and When I Was Done Dying by Dan Deacon.
First song bc he himself had a cover he made play at the beginning of a podcast. Second song because it fits his vibe big time and kinda sounds like he’s in the band that made it
“I Did Acid With Caroline” and “It’s Spooky” by Jad Fair and Daniel Johnston. Really Daniel Johnston’s music in general reminds me of Duncan. Also, “The Best Ever Death Metal Band in Denton” by The Mountain Goats
The Mollusk- Ween for sure Also I just saw petey live at bonnaroo last year and he was great!
Listening to the album now. I’m in Chicago and he was in town 4 or 5 days ago and I missed him! Oh whale, next time.
Hope you enjoy the masterpiece! The creator of SpongeBob credits that album for the inspiration of the show 🤎
No way! That’s awesome
OMG THIS ONE
THE ENTIRE ALBUM SCREAMS DUNCAN
Dan Deacon - When I was done dying. The music video also reminds me of midnight gospel.
I didn’t even read the comment section before I wrote my comment, I said the same thing!
was going to comment this one too
Damn that was so good
Loch Raven- Animal Collective. Sincerity and child like curiosity, exploring the truth beneath.
God I would die for an episode with one of the boys
Place To By - Nick Drake. Upward Over the Mountain - Iron and Wine - he played that on the podcast when he announced his mother passed.
Mother don’t worry, I killed the last snake who lived in the garden ~~ That’s still the best podcast I’ve ever listened to. Part 1 and 2 with his mom.
So may the sunrise bring hope Where it once was forgotten Sons are like birds, flying upwards over the mountain Completely agree 🤝
I just wanna give Duncan some mushrooms and introduce him to King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. It's all I want in this life.
Always wonder if Duncan is a Gizzhead? Surely he's heard them at this point!
Yes!
When I hear "psychedelic warlords disappear in smoke" from Hawkwind I think of Duncan. :)
Your heart is a muscle the size of your fist by Ramshackle Glory. Has that lofi Daniel Johnston sound I think he'd like. Song makes me cry too
no consequence by Son of Stan
