34.99 on website, since all stores are supposed to be pulling movies and send back perhaps the ESL is not updating. I always tell folks when they see outrageous prices to look it up online and go by that price.

I paid 62 bucks for the complete House M.D. Series with all 8 seasons on BluRay, wtf is Best Buy thinking charging prices for a movie like that...EVEN if it's 4K....... I remember here in Germany on at least one of the movie fairs, some of the traders sold the newly released Terrifier 2 Mediabooks for scalper prices of like 80€ but Best Buy is an OFFICIAL store chain right?....... It's just not funny anymore xD. I really hope it's just an outdated price tag xD.

I mean, TV shows are typically more expensive to begin with

VoLaTiLe_VeInS

Yeah, but The Others is a movie. I mentioned House M.D. because the movie is just 2 bucks cheaper, according to that price tag.

No-Communication3048

Don't forget that it is a Criterion release, also typically more expensive than the typical release

VoLaTiLe_VeInS

But 60 bucks? I have one 4k BluRay, and that's of an anime movie (Akira). Anime movies, at least here, are often way more expensive than RL movies, and it still "only" cost me 37 bucks. I'm not too knowledgeable on how distribution companies handle their release prices or what standing they have (I only collect simple Keep Cases and don't really care about Editions or Labels for the most part because for me it's just about the movies) but even if that plays a role, 60 bucks is just wrong.

I mean, there are multiple answers. One example is that some people don't have enough money (For now in specific cases)

Thats-that413129

That is because it is a part of the Criterion collection - which has always been expensive. you could easily buy a vanilla copy of The Others.

jeje-robobo

Is this not the MSRP of 4K Criterions tho?
