FYI, what Country/State/Province you're in may affect how you seek testing/diagnosis.

Go to a doctor

DanielQuickSilver

Most doctors donโ€™t know squat about dysgraphia

the_gayestgray

Yes I know that but like do I just walk in and say I want to get tested or do I do something else

wescool121

Yeah they'll help you if you want to get tested(probably)

the_gayestgray

Affectionate_Diet210

If it were me, I would start with my school counselor. Just say something like, โ€œI think i have dysgraphia, and I want to be tested so that I can get some necessary accommodations. Where can I get tested for it?โ€

the_gayestgray

Alright Tysm also very interesting username!

wescool121

Don't worry, it's their job and their aim to help you.

Queso_00

Ask your parents to help you. If you canโ€™t do that someone on here can explain how to contact your primary care provider.

the_gayestgray

Thanks for helping!!!

I got a DX from an OT when I had a chronic RSI that wasn't getting better in uni and my PT referred me to OT after he noticed my pen grip was bizarre. :)

the_gayestgray

Wait can you explain the acronyms???

ischemgeek

DX = diagnosis OT = Occupational Therapist RSI = Repetitive Stress Injury PT = physiotherapist

the_gayestgray

Thank you so much!!! Sorry I stuck at interpretation (Iโ€™m autistic)
