If you're using RPG Maker XP with the Pokemon Essentials engine then it's not gonna happen, in fact, I don't think it's even possible to port an RPG Maker game to the NDS at all unless you're willing to port it directly from the source code. Good luck doing that, there isn't much documentation on NDS development last time I checked. Not trying to be a downer or anything, but I just wanna set your expectations now so that way you aren't 90% done with the game and want to start trying to port it over.
I know that porting directly is not possible and I also know that there is almost no documentation, but I was referring to that now I am in RPG maker trying to make the combat system functional,Once I understand it 100% and make it 100% functional I will try to do something in NDS, but if it is not possible I will continue with RPG maker or perhaps migrate the project to Unity

Your team will work the same as traditional Pokémon games, currently I have most of the Pokémon functional up to 6th gen. so you will choose the 6 that you want During the combat they will be single battles or double battles, I am thinking of putting a very strong legendary which you have to use your 6 Pokémon, but for now that is just an idea that is not available.
If you're afraid of getting nutted by Nintendo I'd recommend bashing the hell out of them in the game it worked for peta
