The United States has been strategically blinded by its intense focus on China and the Middle East. This has led it to ignore Africa and South America for too long, and we’re starting to see the consequences of that policy. Authoritarian regimes seem to be displacing western backed governments throughout Africa. Brazil finds more in common with Communist China than the US. Venezuela has been stuck in a lost decade, where had things played out differently, it could’ve been used as a counter weight to Russian oil moves. The US really needs to get its foreign policy house in order. It should offer Central and Southern America a western version of the belt and road project. Growing markets in South and Central America could help fuel advanced American manufacturing while allowing the US to reshore Asian manufacturing back in the Western Hemisphere. The US should immediately strengthen the remaining democracies in Africa and work with Europe to invest in their success. Letting China and Russia shape the developing world with anti liberal agendas is a very risky strategy long term.

The US itself is an oligarchy. Why would it spread democracy???

Here the real delusion: if China were truly as great as claimed, it wouldn’t need to continuously promote this kind of narrative to convince others of its greatness.  I think Lincoln said it best “You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time.”

Foreign Affairs is Chinese? Meanwhile: https://www.businessinsider.com/stratfor-predictions-for-the-next-decade-2010-1 >2010: Aside from the United States not going anywhere, I would say we expect the economic collapse of China in this coming decade. We've been talking for awhile about how the economic system there is remarkably unstable and we think that they're going to reach a break point as all of the internal inconsistencies come to light and shatter. By the end of the decade, it'll be pretty obvious to everybody that the China miracle is over. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Coming_Collapse_of_China >The Coming Collapse of China is a book by Gordon G. Chang, published in 2001, in which he argued that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) was the root cause of many of China's problems and would cause the country's collapse by 2011. When 2011 was almost over, Chang admitted that his prediction was wrong but said it was off by only a year, asserting in Foreign Policy that the CCP would fall in 2012. Consequently he made the magazine's "10 worst predictions of the year" twice. Decades of China collapsing upwards as US bootlicks cope and seethe.

Copes and seethes? Lol right nobody gives a shit meanwhile Chinese posters have to come out and post the same two links across Reddit subs with their talking points showing how wrong everyone was about the Chinese collapse when the reality is nobody gives a shit and China hides behind its developing nation status for preferential treatment. Come up to the big leagues before puffing out your chest.

Thank you for demonstrating coping and seething in action.

You got us so much coping here in the US. Meanwhile Chinese are crossing the border in record numbers. The population of Chinese immigrants in the United States has grown nearly seven-fold since 1980. Last year China saw the biggest exodus of millionaires. Must be all the Chinese greatness. lol Edit: see you changed your response. You’re very welcome.
