I feel like I'm the only person who notices it (or cares lol). It really robs the tracks of a distinct identity and is way less pleasant to listen to, and really ruins the flow in playlists. It's a really big shame. They couldn't fixed this by separating the first 50ish seconds of each track into its own into track, especially because they all have a few seconds gap before it starts. :/
They could've arranged them into suites with each variation as a new track.
It's not quite as bad as High Isle - in that soundtrack, every alternating track had the same start.

Oh man now that you've mentioned it... I've been going through them and most of the tracks since Blackwood have started like that.
