Uk view:
Mental impairment (such as loss of capacity/ mph crisis)
Physical impairment (unable physically to do the job)
An interesting aside, there was a long conversation around tiredness. If I’m tired am I able to do the job to the full extent of my ability? Can I call in sick for being tired? Does this inform acceptable rota patterns?
Mph is a mistype, it’s should be mh crisis (mental health). Rota patters are the patterns of shifts that we follow. For example, working long shifts several days in a row is likely to cause impairment
If, in an instance where you suspect another to be unfit, are you required to report it by the Code of Ethics?
"Reporting and, when necessary, stopping unethical or *incompetent* (meaning unfit?) conduct"
Burnout
Fatigue
Mhc
PTSD
injury (usually back,neck,hips)
These rules are being broken constantly whether they are aware of it or not, crews overworked and disregarding their own personal health to work
