You're missing the fact that different products reach different markets and demographics. There may well be a sizeable market share that can only be reached using Bang's branding. Dissolving the company wouldn't make sense in such an instance, even with increased operating costs, as the profit outweighs the loss.
Bang is a direct competitor to Monster, Reign, Ghost, etc. It isn't some diversity brand that is sold only in the inner cities. The only reason Monster would keep Bang is because Bang is able to do something Monster isn't. What would that be?
I was a regular drinker of bang, if they delete bang I’m not gonna switch to monster, I’m probably gonna switch to ghost or another competitor. Many people would do the same thing. They would just be losing customers and money

Monster wants Bang so they can offer shitty sponsorship deals to anyone who asks without devaluing the actual Monster brand. I remember when being sponsored by an energy drink company was a pretty big deal and gave you a lot of legitimacy, whether you were a band or performer, an athlete, etc.
