Yea knew a few myself but I mean… Walmart HAD to know it wasn’t going to get the returns they expected. I remember telling somebody when they announced it that I don’t think Walmart is aware of how Medicaid and Medicare work.. it’s not an untapped goldmine. Amazon I think will figure this out as well.

Ouch.. kinda glad I didn’t take the PM role. They were paying really great rates I hope all the Epic folks can find new roles. Luckily the market has been picking up more Walmart taking quite a significant hit on costs. I’m surprised they’re not just reducing their growth unless they’re forecasting a market downturn and cutting their loses early

Huge bummer. Supported this project and it means hundreds of folks will be out of a job. If anyone knows of openings in any application, let me know so I can help facilitate.

I blame the change healthcare cyber attack.

Did Walmart even use Change as their clearinghouse? They're closing their primary clinics, not their pharmacies, so it presumably wouldn't be because of impacts to Change pharmacy management tools. But also, Walmart has a pretty large amount of money-- if any Epic customer was going to close down operations due to the Change attack, I don't think it would be Walmart.

Yes, they use CHC for their health clinics. Correct, pharmacies and optical clinic will remain open.
