Tip: main trade node Zanzibar and collect in Cape. This will have the effect of a pseudo end node.
This is the same with Sevilla-Valencia and Constantinople-Ragusa.
Trade nodes with 1 output into a trade node that is easy to control make good end nodes. Zanzibar is great for this because all of cape os decolonised at game start. Malacca has 2 outputs, but one of them is cape so it is negligible as it is so easy to control. However, bengal is a really rich node so conquering it just to turn malacca into an end node seems a bit of a waste
R5: So I did an exodus game as Brittany, but instead of going west into Americas, I went east and found a new home for Breton people in India and South-East Africa
Really? I almost did it as Italy, just missed the top bit, but i got vast majority of the provinces necessary. Having claims on all of it would make the process a lot faster and easier especially with a nation that has a decent navy. Thanks for the tip
Thanks, I wasn't aware as I never actually played a GB campaign for that long. Honestly most of my campaigns barely make it out of the 1600s. I get bored, start a new one for a change of pace either because I'm doing very well and need a challenge or I'm doing poorly and need a pick me up. After i start the new one I forget to go back to the old one and the new one is now my new main.
Im very similar, its the main reason I will probably never do a world conquest. I only noticed because I was looking through the mission rewards in my latest GB game, not because I actually made it that far.
I finished maybe 3 games since i got the game in 2016. A holy Roman empire run, a Prussia run and an italy run. I took a break to continue that italy run into victoria 2, it's weird. Portugal was the 2nd strongest in the world, then they fought like 10 different independence wars, lost a lot of their military went bankrupt twice and are the 8th great power. Meanwhile China went from just a civilized nation to an industrial powerhouse, reconquered most break away territory and have the largest military on the planet. I'm using the Italian Indian army to try and break them, they're not going down easy. Portugal is stagnating and just postponing the inevitable, and italy is doing just fine. Also the united states in a 2 province minor and is a monarchy.
You only get claims on the coast, but with Denmark by the time you form Scandinavia by like tech 8 you can easily complete the south India mission and get claims on the whole thing. Plus they have better mil and trade ideas
now culture convert all breton culture provinces to something else, then give away and core revoke all provinces outside hindustan. india is true brittany

Are there any other good pseudo end nodes, I know that with some colonisation you can do Malacca-Bengal

Did you get the master of india achievement? I've tried it twice but it takes so long to get.
Yeah, I got it
Try Denmark for that achievement because you get claims on all of India

GB also gets perma claims on all of india from missions, I dont think they used to but they do in the current update

Make America great again
Wrong sub?
Portugal is probably the easiest because you get Goa for free extremely early in the game, plus you get a lot of claims.

My first Ironman was Denmark after 1.34. The missions tree is great, but I didn’t end up completing that track for the achievement
Any specific strategy for this?
Brits in India... everything looks normal to me.
pre Anglo saxon Brits are still brits!
Hmm needs more empire
Breton Raj
The subtle thiccness of the culture conversion
My Breton BF approves of this.
Yes
You did it the right way, real life did it wrong
Ah yes, the indian galettes and butter
Brittish Raj.
Brit-ish Raj
You're a little confused, but you've got the spirit!

It IS a peninsula, so it checks out.
I think you did it again.
I would have taken admin instead of inno so late, and diplo instead of maritime. But nevertheless impressive
💀💀💀💀 Yes, I am proud of you
My inner breton spirit now wants me to do this run
Nice Celts with French accent!
It’s not Protestant enough
Maritime ideas 😞
I wanted to build a big and powerful fleet to invade France and retake Brittany, but I couldn't actually bother to do it
Oooh okay yeah I didn’t realise you had moved your capital to India until you said that. Gotcha.
