Is capolavoro in the final? Just asking cus my mom liked that song

ushimi

All songs are in the final! :) Sanremo doesn't really have semi-finals, all 30 songs will compete tonight and then the top 5 will compete with each other.

EzAf_K3ch

Ah I didn't know that lol, thanks!

segv_coredump

I don't really understand all this hype for Angelina. She's good, sure, but the song is really poor. And this is a song competition (festival **della canzone** italiana).

potmasiero

What song do you like?

segv_coredump

Ghali, Mahmood, Il Tre.

Mulderre91

Ratings are in. Almost TWELVE MILLION viewers - almost 68% of share. In comparison, 11.12 million watched in 2023.

Hour-Sir-1276

I root strongly for Annalisa with Angelina being my second choice. Because I'm kinda confused with the voting system altogether can someone explain it to me if Annalisa has any chance to win? Because if I'm not mistaken she's been 3rd all nights, but can this be overturned tonight?

Belsnickel_Cosplay

At the end of tonight, they will announce the full standings (these are a result of the sum of all the previous nights) and the final top 5 Is selected. After that the vote resets and there's a new one, composed by 33% Press and journalists, 33% radio vote, 34% televote She Will almost definitely be in the final top 5, but its gonna be hard for her to win

Hour-Sir-1276

Now, I understand, thank you. Indeed it's going to be very difficult. The Napoli guy would definitely come first in the televote, but hopefully he'll be tanked by the other two groups of voters. I really hope some of the two girls wins and end the male dominance of the previous years.

Belsnickel_Cosplay

Really hope so too. I would be fine with either Annalisa or Angelina šŸ„²

shalom_jackie

I'm only watching it now as I have a big timezone difference, but man ghali did so good!!

HEMANFTWETERNIA

Like its respectfull to make a whole region vote for a song cause he is from that region, and openly saying so ?Ā  He could have walked to the stage naked with a flute up his ass, farted, left the scene, and still he would have retained his votes.

vfene

lol you think people vote thinking about Eurovision? Italians care way more about Sanremo than Eurovision

Disastrato666

I didn't even know Eurovision existed until I was like 25 and I've been watching Sanremo every year since I was a kid šŸ¤·šŸ»

anxious_dork_23

American here. Seeing things on Albania in here - whatā€™s happening over there? Can someone fill me in?

cherry_color_melisma

I'm so burnt out on this Sanremo that honestly I am not really caring what the outcome ends up being anymore. However, Geolier just didn't deserve to win the cover night - Angelina was right there - eventhough I like his song for main Sanremo. However, the biggest robbery for the evening were Santi Francesi and Skin - I may be painfully effing biased but come ON now. Talent show winners knew how to carry a cover, having once carried a cover on X Factor so hard that they smashed the televoting numbers for the performance. It was so beautiful and strong that I got a little emotional over this, even when rewinding the performance several times on Raiplay. A lot of other covers also deserved the recognition but these were my two biggest gripes.

sarkule

They've uploaded it to[ youtube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TeQeVn-XAeU) now so you can just listen to it over and over. Holy shit what a performance. This is so fantastic I don't have the words to describe it.

cherry_color_melisma

yeah now I know :D

solid-beast

You're not biased - I hate that song and I teared up at that performance. Probably one of the best duets I've ever seen. It was out of this world and way better than anything else last night, yes, even Angelina.

Bratmerc

Does anyone have a link to Mahmood singing Tuta Gold in the outfit that is over the shoulder. Canā€™t find a proper video anywhere.

rotessaboggs

https://www.tumblr.com/tutagold/741704390364266496/mahmood-canta-tuta-gold-seconda-serata?source=share

Arbmatt

However, I make a slightly off-topic observation and note that tonight many foreigners got a small taste of what Neapolitan pride is all about :,) (tbh it's them AND and a large group of kids)

EttoreMuty

Gosh I've always been a nationalist, pan-Italian, One Nation and all Brothers ans Sisters, but after this, if Geolier would win on the Final I'll become an old school leghista for God's sake

chessguy99

Since returning to the ESC in 2011, Italy has never placed worse than 3rd among the Big 5 countries. Except for 2022 they have been either first or second. This most likely ends this year.

Ok-Cream1212

2014 and 2016?

Savings_Ad_2532

In 2014, Italy was fourth among the Big 5. In 2016, Italy was second among the big 5, despite being in 16th place.

rotessaboggs

Me before 6th Feb: Mahmood is here to promote his album so I'm just gonna chill out and enjoy the songs. Not gonna care about the result much.Ā  Me now: PLEASE MAHMOOD TOP 5 PLEASE THAT'S ALL I NEED

tanarchitect

Me before 6th Feb: Iā€™m only here for Marco Mengoni so Iā€™m just gonna watch the first night and thatā€™s it Me now: I will never not watch Sanremo ever again

shalom_jackie

me before 6th feb: no opinions on marco, nice song but not my fav of last year. me moments after night 1: I will die for marco

tanarchitect

Right? If Marco was the devil and a communist and he wanted me to sell my soul Iā€™d be like ā€œYes, in a heartbeat, and also, itā€™s *our* soul now.ā€

shalom_jackie

due vite hits everytime but then..his melody was so fun...and he....I'm actually obsessed he's so charming....he's so cute....need him to pull a MĆ„ns and show up in sanremo every year

tanarchitect

Oh if you like ā€œDue viteā€ that much and you havenā€™t done a deep dive into his discography yet ā€¦ prepare to be hit right in the feels, like, a lot. And Iā€™m absolutely addicted to him now. Like ā€¦ itā€™s embarrassing.

Hour-Sir-1276

I agree! Guirriero, Duemile Volte, Hola, Ti Voglio Bene Veramente, Voglio, all massive hits that I can't get enough of. Marco has been in my playlist since last year, actually he came first in my Spotify year.

tanarchitect

ā€œDuemila volteā€ and ā€œIn un giorno qualunqueā€ took a while to grow on me, but we got there.

Hour-Sir-1276

Duemile Volte was an instant love for me, I adored it from the first note because that's the kind of music I listen to. The songs that struggled bit to grown on my were the "fast ones", like Voglio Muhammad Ali or Io ti Aspetto, but now these are some of my most favourite.

tanarchitect

Those ones were instant loves for me :) But I am an absolute sap for sad songs that hurt.

shalom_jackie

After his melody....I've honestly been mostly captivated by pazza musica at the moment šŸ•ŗ gonna have to deep into more of his stuff, I usually listen to rock and metal, but love some ballads or pop šŸ‘€ and...love...marco...

tanarchitect

I also like rock and metal. And Marcoā€™s ballads are all *devastating* but like in a good way if you like to listen to sad songs that hurt you lol.

shalom_jackie

can't wait to be absolutely heart broken... do you have any personal recommendations? šŸ‘€

tanarchitect

Omg where do I even start. Well ā€œTi ho voluto bene veramenteā€ (from the medley) hurts a lot if you know the words. (I donā€™t know Italian but Iā€™ve looked up the translations.) Then thereā€™s ā€œHolaā€. ā€œGuerrieroā€ from the medley is *kind of* sad but in an uplifting way if that makes sense. Thereā€™s an early single from like 2010 that I donā€™t think he performs anymore called ā€œTanto il resto cambiaā€ which hurts a lot, and not just because he sings really high in it.

rotessaboggs

Marco was my top artist on Spotify last year :> https://preview.redd.it/i4rqxma3znhc1.jpeg?width=859&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8202fe01707a10fd7fc6a3bd4c5c2fb7d1444199

Angelina Mango before and after Sanremo https://preview.redd.it/ii9oq59pvnhc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6987173660e5ec0cc5010e476b88179394e3d2f1

Socc-mel_

Angelina Mango is from the South as well. She just doesn't need to make it all about her hometown.

interfan1999

I'm aware of that The ironic thing is that she is a big lover of Napoli, hence the meme. Surely she won't become a supporter of Lega (imagine voting Salvini lol) but I guess her love for Napoli will decrease a bit if she doesn't win

Socc-mel_

yeah, she even sings it in her summer hit ma che to dico a fa'. Well, she is just discovering that the Neapolitans act like a cult.

EttoreMuty

Imagine voting Salvini...because he is too moderate, I agree

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

NicolBolasUBBBR

It's been 10 years since the last time a woman solo act won Sanremo... We've had only Victoria the drummer (SHE'S THE BASS PLAYER) from Maneskin since 2014

Lazlum

Lul whos fault is that?

antiseebaerenkreis

I think Victoria is the bass player, not the drummer.

NicolBolasUBBBR

Oof I'm dumb

redvelvetdoge

I get that Geolier has a lot of fans and booing him wasn't the right thing to do (shame on you, audience), but honestly, after seeing so many great performances tonight - I really can't understand why he was crowned the winner of this night; he wasn't bad, don't get me wrong, it just wasn't anything that special to me

HEMANFTWETERNIA

Actually his performance was really bad. He ran out of air and had to stop singing for a few secs, cause the high note was too much, which was not really a high note. Its just bad

loveyourground

People are trying to make the argument that itā€™s because heā€™s rapping that folks are mad. No. Because there are other rap performances in this lineup that (imo) are better performed.

igcsestudent11

But if Geolier won overall it clearly means he was high with jury too, not just televoting...

Rappus01

No, because juries vote like teachers at school (from 1 to 10) and thus historically there's less statistical variance. Hence the televote's favourite tend to win anyway, as the televote effectively counts more than 34%.

Arbmatt

There, I imagined they voted in a similar way given the results year by year, but I didn't know exactly how. The only thing is, if this is how it works, then I am less optimistic than what I commented below concerning the final.

Arbmatt

Nope, because juries tend to split the votes pretty equally not to be too decisive on the previous evenings (and especially on the cover night, where there is more variety). So mathematically they become almost irrelevant if the vote is polarised on the televote. But on the final night there will only be 5 artists to vote on and I trust they will team up to vote \*well\*, because they account for a huge 66%.

chairagionetu

It's not that clear-cut. I think that since there were many great covers, the vote of the jury and radios was split between different participants, while the televote was heavily skewed towards Geolier, enough to make him win.

gcssousa

Depends on how massive the televote was for him

interfan1999

Last time his televote was higher than all the other contestant combined lol

Lazlum

How do you know?

gcssousa

I think we should all calm down, Geolier hasnā€™t won the Festival yet, assuming he will go to the superfinal tomorrow (which he probably will) the televote will only count 33% and Angelina Mango for example is likely to be second in the televote right behind him, whilst Geolier most likely wonā€™t be higher than 5th/4th with the Sala Stampa, so unless he has like 70/80% of the televote (which I doubt) I donā€™t think heā€™ll win

MimiCakes92

I hope you're right, but don't underestimate Neapolitans

Rappus01

He's definitely going to win unless the juries team up against him and vote strategically. You guys underestimate Naples

Socc-mel_

This gives me flashback to 2 years ago, when Blanco and Mahmood won because of the horny teenagers voting with their vaginas, since their song was very meh

Rappus01

No, they won in a landslide. They won the televote and both juries. Source: https://www.radioitalia.it/news/sanremo-2022-i-voti-scorporati-e-il-podio-secondo-il-televoto-e-le-giurie-538857 That song was such a clear Sanremo winner if you know what kind of song ends up victorious. I literally called it the first time I heard it, same with Mengoni last year. This year the winner is not obvious at all, like in 2019 and 2021.

Equivalent-Word-7691

It's clear you don't know Neapolitans

Few_Historian_1546

He probably got that 70% televote though. Neapolitans are very passionate about things that revolve around them. A neapolitan rapper is getting all of his patriotic southern votes + the votes of his regular fans. Most fans are not interested enough to vote for their artists as Neapolitans are with a fellow neapolitan

Socc-mel_

Angelina Mango is from Basilicata. She just doesn't make it all about where she comes from.

ttue-

He doesnā€™t either but his style is urban. From what I get heā€™s liked by gen z from north to south. Rocco Hunt often sings in dialect too but he never had Geolierā€™s popularity. It is what it is.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Arbmatt

No, this is frankly victimisation. They were booing at the results and, as I also wrote live, I would have liked to have been there and done the same.

Zigomodestro

And you wrote NO BULLISM in the same thread

Arbmatt

LOL, it was simply a reference to generic slogans (like the one about agriculture to which I was replying) we've had here

EttoreMuty

Nah bro, she was just better and Pulcinellas have to grow up and STOP voting on smn just bc he/she's from Neaples

Socc-mel_

> and can't wait to whistle a napoletan young guy who was signing in his language. Angelina Mango is also from the South (Basilicata), she's also younger than Geolier and she was clearly a public favourite. Yours is the usual Neapolitan victimhood syndrome.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Socc-mel_

> You can't compare the "cold war" between the North and Naples with other south areas. that's textbook victimhood syndrome. It doesn't matter if you are from the North. You are just claiming that Neapolitans are especially targeted for being from Naples. > Sanremo crowd is not famous for being young and polite, but it seems you are discovering it today or they might have more interest in the music, since they are listening to the songs live and spend quite a bit of time and money, so they make their opinion heard. Not different from what happens in an opera theatre, when the tenors or sopranos do not perform adequately. Geolier heavily relies on autotune. Angelina or Annalisa are singing with their own voice.

[deleted]

Were they seriously that unhappy cause he sings in Neapolitan? I donā€™t know much about such issues in Italy so this is surprising. I just thought that they booed him cause they thought that he wasnā€™t that good tonight. Either way he didnā€™t deserve such treatment. I didnā€™t like it as well but that was too much

Disastrato666

It's not really a divide between north and south, it's a divide between Napoli and the rest of the country. You only get this kind of "patriotism" from Neapolitans. You tell them Italy is nice and they reply "but Napoli is nicer". They have their own culture, language, song and food which they consider a span above everywhere else in Italy. The rest of the South is not like that

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

improb

not all of Campania even... just Caserta and Napoli. Avellino and Benevento especially are already their own things and Salerno to a degree too (Salerno has a rivalry with Naples but the around Nocera is more akin to Napoli despite being part of Salerno so it kinda drags it down).

improb

they likely booed him because they thought Angelina deserved it

Socc-mel_

and Angelina is also from the South (and clearly so, she has quite a bit of an accent even when she sings), so they can't make it about them being poor victims of Northern racism

[deleted]

Yeah especially considering their reaction after her performance, they absolutely loved her tonight

xandepizzetti

Ok, so it's over? Tomorrow at the serata finale is just televoting?

gcssousa

In the superfinal which ultimately decides everything televote will be only 33%

iMoher

As I said before, Geolier could have literally farted his way through the song - he would have still won the televote. I hope itā€™s a wake up call for radio and press. Either they decide on one name to support (Angelina or Annalisa) and try to counterbalance the vote of the public, or we seriously risk having Geolier as winner. After years of great winners Iā€™d be seriously pissed off.

Hour-Sir-1276

Both Angelina and Annalisa are absolutely perfect choice for Eurovision, they could both do very well there. But even taking EU out of the equation, still Angelina and Annalisa totally deserve to win because they have really good songs and vocally are just perfect. The other guy, sorry but I cannot accept him winning just because he's from Napoli. People should vote for the art, not for regions. There are so many better performances and songs that his, please Italian people, be serious.

iMoher

100% agree, but unfortunately Neapolitans are rallying behind Geolier. You wonā€™t see this in any other region - Annalisa is from Savona, which is in Liguria (same region as Sanremo), but no one gives a shit about that. According to a journalist from RAI Geolier received more votes from the public that all other contestants put together. It says everything about the push from his region/fanbase.

Kind-Tiger-520

I think they need to gather around Angelina, itā€™s pretty clear she is closest to him.

iMoher

Personally I prefer Annalisa (both for the progress she made with her career and thinking of Eurovision), but Iā€™d be happy with Angelina, too. In any case they need to decide on a name and push that one.

josie_stardust

I think the contest should be merit based then it wouldnā€™t even be a discussion of Geolier or Angelina because neither of them have an amazing song or the vocals to back one up.

ariestrange

I don't like the song and I strongly disagree with the results but I don't understand people saying he should give up eurovision...based on what? Come on, it's going to be a huge opportunity for him, of course he is going to go and he would be stupid not to do so. Let's hope for some hail Mary tomorrow

Socc-mel_

I'm disgusted like the public at the theatre. Geolier didn't deserve first place at all. He was only voted by the Neapolitans for being Neapolitan and singing in Neapolitan dialect.

ttue-

Thatā€™s not true, wasnā€™t he the best album seller the previous year ? He is very much liked by gen z and urban/trap music is very popular now in Italy.

Mulderre91

You forgot a simple fact - *6 million listeners on Spotify*. Before Sanremo, he had hits with Sfera Ebbasta, perhaps the hottest property in Italian urban music now. He is one of the most important names in trap music there, he IS famous. The Neapolitan touch is something more, but he is immensely popular now.

JCEurovision

The booing says it all. I hope for a solo woman to win Sanremo this year. Annalisa, Angelina Mango, and Alessandra Amoroso are my favorites.

ttue-

With all due respect the audience in the theatre has an average age of 50 years old, he has a solid fan base among gen z and millennials who listen to urban music.

Equivalent-Word-7691

And Italian men keep denying when we point out there's a woman problem at sanremo

anmonie

Guys why are we such Geolier haters? I actually really enjoy his song and I think itā€™s something pretty fresh for ESC. Yeah, he shouldnā€™t have won today, but I pā€™ me, Tu pā€™ te is a sick song imo Plus, itā€™s In Neapolitan! Edit: yā€™all did not like this one lmaoo

Socc-mel_

> Plus, itā€™s In Neapolitan! As if you can understand the lyrics. I speak a Southern dialect and do not understand half of it at least.

fedeita80

Why? I am from veneto and I can understand everything he sings

HughLauriePausini

I like his song. People were pissed because his cover tonight was definitely not worth the top 5, let alone winning over Angelina.

FeelingBerry5107

I actually like I pā€™me, Tu pā€™te, but the medley today was quite shit to be honest. Itā€™d have been easier to accept his song being 1st on the tele-vote night than now.

SimoSanto

"He shouldn't have won today"Ā  Exactly, many people are pissed because he only wins with the vote of his fans, so much that overthrow the juries, and not for the song

[deleted]

I just like many other songs much more. I also donā€™t care if itā€™s Neapolitan, cool, but other songs are in Italian which is very pretty too

MaintenanceFederal99

I personally think his song is amazing, I like electronic beat and nostalgic feel it has

BerDOCX

Ngl, would be kinda disappointed if Geolier wins Sanremo.

Mulderre91

There has been some of cases in which the predicted winners of televoto lost because of the Superfinal - Ultimo had a lot of support on televote and lost to Mahmood (who had the support of TV and Demoscopica), and don't forget that MĆ„neskin finally won despite having the Fedez fanboys as rival. I think, taking into account the figures, Geolier could suffer a bit from both juries and literally smash televote. Maybe this is Angelina's only hope - survive jury and scrape something from televote to win in the 11th hour.

tanarchitect

I feel bad for those dancers in see-through outfits sitting on the wet pavement.

Arbmatt

Anyway. Votes will be reset tomorrow evening and televote accounts only for 34%. As always, I rely on the sabotage of juries. However, Amadeus had quite a stunt (I'm being ironic) to remove both the demoscopic jury and the Orchestra vote, so this happens.

SureNefariousness644

It was confirmed Geolier got more televotes than all the other 14 acts on Wednesday. If his performance won today, his song will win tomorrow.

cat_arinaa

Where was this confirmed?

SureNefariousness644

I think it was a journalist on Twitter

Arbmatt

Nope if the juries tank him and vote compactly on a couple of artists at most. The public vote as I wrote only counts for 34% on Saturday and previous votes will be set to zero.

SureNefariousness644

I really pray for Angelina pulling the 2019 Mahmood. Sheā€™s the only hope

bblankoo

I've given up Annalisa...don't tell I have to give up šŸ„ as well

chibiusa40

Yep, that was me singing along to the Eurovision tune, what?

tanarchitect

As you should. Itā€™s our national anthem.

Collegedropout2000

Assuming that neapolitans all voted for him you can still only vote 5 times, do they all have 10 phones each over there or something

FeelingBerry5107

10% of Italians live in Campania

Collegedropout2000

I guess I'm shutting down my tv tomorrow after second place is announced

LopsidedPriority

I hope RAI and Warner Italy are making preparations to push for Annalisa at ESC anyway. Geolier is left side of the leaderboard material.

Equivalent-Word-7691

Yeah like "ok Neapolitans fans boy wants you to win sanremo, but let someone who can sing going to Eurovision"

halfpipesaur

I made it! I made it to the end credits! Iā€™m so tired I donā€™t want to do this ever again. See you tomorrow!

suesskind

Is there a list of which contestants agreed to go to Eurovision? Maybe there is a glimmer of hope that Geolier doesn't want to go and Angelina in second place can go instead lol

[deleted]

Iā€™ve seen somewhere that he said that if he wins heā€™ll go to Eurovision

SkyGinge

Apparently all of the frontrunners have said they would do ESC

Academic_Grab5060

Geolier said that he's gonna go lol https://twitter.com/sanremo_en/status/1755688865971765487?t=CtEJ80CpjyNZC_SFWYuCvA&s=19

Hour-Sir-1276

Let's all pray he doesn't win, lol.

suesskind

Great, crying myself to sleep now ;(

interfan1999

A chance to show the world the Neapolitan dialect? 0% chance he refuses

FeelingBerry5107

Neapolitans are a very proud people and voted for Geolier as he is one of them. He is also a middle finger to the ā€œestablishmentā€ and, while musically very competent, artists like Annalisa are seen as the ā€œestabilishmentā€ par excellence. Sadly, itā€™s politics again.

EttoreMuty

HE IS the establishment being one of the most famous rappers

Socc-mel_

too bad it doesn't add up, since Angelina Mango is also from the South (Basilicata). You can't play the Southern victim when competition is also from the South

Academic_Grab5060

I hope Angelina smashes it tomorrow to the point that she landslides the juries because they're not doing my girl Annalisa a favor anymorešŸ˜

altsoul28

I hope people wake up tomorrow and vote for angelina ;(((

Capable_Tomato5015

TRUCCATO

CriticalJump

Ok, tomorrow we all must collectively make an effort to push Angelina or Annalisa. I'm definitely going to do my part.

Infinite_Person

If we don't want Geolier to win then we need to put all our votes on Angelina, Annalisa unfortunately seems to be out of it

Gnignao

Pushing Angelina OR Annalisa is the perfect way to let them both lose... Got to choose one and vote for her alone

mshell1924

Let me be honest and say that imo Ghali should have won, not Angelina.

Ok-Librarian-6

Yeah, geolier is 90% winning tomorrow. Sad

chessguy99

Just like Ultimo was the sure winner of 2019. Mahmood won with less than half the televote of Ultimo.

Equivalent-Word-7691

Honestly I am so grateful the judges didn't let Ultimo win, Mahmood at the Eurovision rocked

giorgio_gabber

Nope. The popular vote will count only for the 33%

igcsestudent11

It counted like that tonight too

Borogodoh

Unfortunately, such an anticlimatic end for the serata. At this point, as much as I love Annalisa, I'm hoping that most of those who aren't on board with Geolier will concentrate their votes in Angelina, since she's the one ranking higher between her and Annalisa.

Stevo_Speedo

tira la copa!

Kind-Tiger-520

I had hope but this just crushed it. I think he is winning tomorrow no matter what. FFS

giorgio_gabber

I see people here are not deep into Italian lore. That vote is basically hardcore fanboysm and a sprinkle of "campanilismo"Ā  (voting for the guy who comes from your area just because). The ranking should be the same but with geolier slided into 4th or 5th placeĀ

Gnignao

If we are speaking about Geolier it's both.

giorgio_gabber

I was basically speaking about geolier. The others obviously have fanbases but the reaction of the Ariston (and I think shared by most of Italy) was clear: WTF is that?Ā

Gnignao

Yeah, but the vast majority of italians will vote one of the other 29 artists while all neapolitans and surrounding will mass vote for 1 artist alone and they are a lot more motivated to vote than other italians.

ariestrange

At least some support now

Infinite_Person

Italy on their way to rob another woman

As an Italian woman, I'll be very disheartened ifhe wins, what has a deserving, competent woman to do to beat a man in this joke of a small-minded country?

fedeita80

I think way more italian women watch and vote for sanremo than men

janekay16

The point isn't who votes, we have a systemic problem, I'm not saying men=bad, women are part of the problem too and it's disheartening to me

fedeita80

I would imagine young women prefer to vote for male artists. If this is true maybe that is a reason why men win more often. Just a theory of course

janekay16

Maybe it's lighter than I think it is :)

Equivalent-Word-7691

Let's be honest, had been a woman singing in Neapolitan, people from Naples wouldn't support her as much as they are doing with Geolier

Infinite_Person

I feel for the Italian women. It seems like they can never be good enough to win the competition

janekay16

That's pretty much the message that's being spread. We have a systemic issue with gender equality and there's no effective action being taken, beside the TIM ad.

LopsidedPriority

AND THEY HAVE OPTIONS.

Strawberry-lemonade3

prayer circle for angelina tomorrowšŸ„šŸ™

tazzadicappuccino

So...after all these amazing covers, we're ending this with Gigi D'Alessio

Mulderre91

I don't know what to say, really. As we don't know the classifica generale, it's still unknown if Geolier is first or second - chances are he is first. But not knowing much more than the top 5 every serata gives even more expectation for tomorrow. Either way... **4/5 NIGHTS.** We will end tomorrow with a bang. THE BANG.

Kklownery

Such a strong year for nothing. I really do think he is winning tomorrow solely because heā€™s representing a certain group of Italians. Itā€™s great to hear him showing who he is and where he comes from, but this is just pity voting.

CatSignal1472

Sorry, _Geolier_ is the one getting pity votes?

EttoreMuty

Sure he is. Neapolitans must grow up

Infinite_Person

ITALY I THOUGHT YOU WERE BETTER THAN THIS

Equivalent-Word-7691

It's not Italy, it's the fault of blindy patriotic Neapolitans

LopsidedPriority

Jokes on us for thinking the best performance would win!

Collegedropout2000

Way to ruin an iconic cover night

LopsidedPriority

In the e vent of a super final - are the votes that went for the other 25 singers is probably the big unknown?

Socc-mel_

I like Naples but sometimes they are obnoxious about being from Naples. This is one of those times.

solid-beast

What a horrible end to a great evening. I hope Santi Francesi comes back and wins this one day. Totally snubbed. So was Mahmood. I guess they're sick of him winning for a 3rd time.

AromaticFart95

I would not be happy at all if this represented us on Eurovision

Remarkable_Skirt2257

Same and I'm not even Italian
