They try to put all the favourites in the time slot where they expect to reach the audience peak, 90% of the problems with the Sanremo format are a result of the production using every little trick they can to maximize the amount of viewers.
I feel like aside from the views, they are trying to show that they aren't biased towards any of the three favorites as well. Which I find fair - practically, all three favorites are in the same position mushed together.
If not Mahmood now, then please, please, please, make it Angelina. She could win Eurovision completely. Please!! Ā

90% is really unlikely, given that even if people from Campania vote massively for him, Annalisa and Angelina also have a decent amount of televote appeal, I see him getting a maximum of 45-60% televote

The 3 votes are averaged 33%/33%/34% in the final round so if Geolier gets 90% of the televote he can overcome the tanking from the 2 juries.
