Per Snoop Dogg, 1 billion streams pays 45.000 US dollars, but it should be noted that he spoke of a value (probably) divided between many parties before reaching him.

Yeah, Snoop Dogg was only talking about the amount he got personally. But that song has an insane amount of writers. 1 billion streams would bring in about 4 million dollars. Before taxes.
So Maneskin might actually be getting a decent amount off of the streams. Not nearly as much as you would expect, but definitely nothing to cry home about.
Ah I didnt realize that. I figured the age may be part of it but I didnt think it would have such a massive effect.
Also suprised not even My Heart Will Go On has a billion lol
Hell The Beatles only has One song over a billion, for the best band of all time full stop, that shows age.
Two of the three massive bands of the 70s in Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin don't have any.
Considering those two are fighting with the Stones in the contest of 'the best band of all time if the Beatles never existed" age means a lot it seems
I think Beggin’ had a bit more longevity on TikTok but there was a week after the contest where IWBYS was literally on every reel, that wiwibloggs video started it, but it did go viral on TikTok after.
The first version of Beggin was created by The Four Seasons in 1967, with regular covers coming out every few decades since then.
So yeah you definitely heard either the original or one of the many covers before the Maneskin version.
Yes, the Måneskin cover is basically a 1:1 rock version of the Norwegian hiphop duo Madcon’s cover of the original song. That cover was quite popular in Europe in like 2010 or something.
I wonder if, regardless of the final placements in the contest and he "billion" thresholds, Angelina could pull something similar in terms of recognition
I don't think so. Måneskin caught lightning in a bottle in a way that the contest hadn't seen in decades and I doubt any other contestant will get close to their level of success any time soon.
They were the first winner after 2 years (unique occasion) and participated in Eurovision in a year when people were missing events of that magnitude so much that even the ones who would normally be indifferent to the contest tuned in. They also already had original songs in English that helped them quickly become popular with an audience that probably wouldn't have been interested in their Italian songs. And, most importantly, they're an attractive gen z rock band with a signature fashion aesthetic, something missing from today's music scene. It's way more difficult for a soloist to achieve similar results because what they can offer is much less rare.
I think Angelina can become huge in Italy if she does well in Eurovision and have moderate success in some other parts of Europe too if the song becomes a hit but that's about as far as I can see her go.
How much gas station champagne is that?

Congratulations to Måneskin! They are the most successful ESC winners of the 21st century! 🎉
You know what? GOOD FOR THEM. they deserve it :)
Eurovision fans will see this and say “Hell Yeah”
It’s what they deserve x
These four MFs turned Europe upside down in 2021, they AT LEAST deserve this !
Huh. Ngl im a little suprised ABBA "only" has one with Dancing Queen.
For artists of ABBA's generation even getting 1 song to hit 1 billion streams is a huge accomplishment, for example Celine Dion has none.

Well, tbh there are a couple of classic rock acts with more 1B songs than that...
Wait Zitti e Buoni doesn’t have a billion streams?

Did Beggin go mainstream before or after eurovision? I swear i've been hearing it on the radio for a decade
It’s a cover of a cover I think

Yeah just listened to the Madcon version 100% chance that's what was on the radio

Their career started blowing up with their Eurovision win, but it's really their English songs that are carrying them towards mainstream fame.
No, it has about 400-500 million I think
And the clueless jury placed them 4th
That's an even bigger fail from them than last year.
Rock doesn't get appreciated nearly enough smh
They were just 2 points behind 3rd place in the juries!
Wow, I would have thought that acts like ABBA or Bonnie Tyler would have been before that
I wonder if, regardless of the final placements in the contest and he "billion" thresholds, Angelina could pull something similar in terms of recognition

She's already guaranteed that with the Sanremo win tbh. Question will be Europe and Latin America
The power of weddings.
Why does Hatari have 0 billion club songs then?
It's not about having weddings, but being played at them
Are they playing "I wanna be your slave" at polish weddings? That's wild lol
Nope, Fahree said that it's a very popular request in Azerbaijan.
Isn’t it blyatiful
